I don't know why, I find the fox/house site redesign annoying. And the new photos of the cast are not very good - the RSL one is terrible in particular & LE's hair looks flat.
And another opportunity to submit questions to be asked at the Fox fall press junket by the TV Addict.
RSL, Omar, and Jennifer are supposed to be there from House.

But how best to phrase the million dollar H/W question? You don't want to go too Ausiello and sound like a douchebag, and you don't want to go the ITAS!girl route and sound too giggling fangirl.

I don't think anyone here (at least of the anyones that I've seen here) is at risk when it comes to sounding like Ausiello *or* batshit ITAS girl. But, then, ITAS girl could have been asking for the time and that story still would have ended the same way. I often wonder what happened to her, but then realize it's probably best that I don't know. What I don't know, I don't have to testify about.
Honestly, while you folks are perfectly nice, I don't have high hopes for any questions about the four dominant ships sounding like they were written by anyone over the age of nine. That's what they'll pick because those are the ones that TVG can be cutesy over. But, if you do ask a question, just ask it like it's no big deal. That's where, imo, most shippy questions or show questions in general that are written to TVG go off the rails. They sound so breathless and desperate and tend to have that "it's the end of the world" shipper mentality that's present in all ships, but is most prevalent in the world of House/Cameron these days.
But, that's really easier said than done because even though I'd like to think it would be easy to format a question and still sound like a human being with a brain in their head, I don't think I could actually do it in a way that would get the TVG folks' attention.

I guess that depends on what exactly you want to ask. I don't think I'd ask about the subtext because we've pretty much got confirmation that yes they're aware of it and yes, they're deliberately putting it in.
I think my question would be pretty blunt. I'd ask if this was something they were just playing around with because they knew a certain segment of the audience liked it, or if they'd go to bat for H/W with TPTB if they felt it was the way the story should go. Asking them if H/W is a possibility is too vague, and they obviously won't give future plotlines away, so I think this is the best way to get any indication of how serious they take their HoYay.
Over at TV Guide you get to ask 2 questions and besides the H/W one, I'd ask if they have any major outline for the show or the characters. They obviously don't have the smaller arcs planned out, but maybe they had an idea at the very beginning of how House would evolve and how he'd be in the series finale. I'd ask that, but, well, more articulate-like ;)

"Mature and intelligent programming like Torchwood and Brothers and Sisters have shown that embracing sexual diversity will attract American audiences. In keeping with 'House's reputation as a defiantly cutting edge show, what is the likelihood that we will see a potential romantic relationship between Dr. House and Wilson explored?"

She was a TWoPer and I think amysusanne may have been referring to, well, other things besides that ITAS question?
I wouldn't want to ask about ships, though I always like to hear about the House-Wilson relationship in any form. Maybe someone could ask about how they met and became friends? It's hard to pick one question, but I think I'd choose to ask about House's chronic pain vs painkiller dependance vs addiction vs pseudoaddiction.
vitawash99- 09-23-2007
Uh, yeah. The fangirl moment, while faintly squirmy for the fannishly experienced, was not actually the major issue from that other site. Batshit is a polite way of putting it.
What an interesting opportunity, though. Now, to come up with a tactful way to ask "Seriously? What did you guys do to Cuddy?" or something along those lines.
Siriusly- 09-23-2007
I'm sorry, but for those of us who are unenlightened, would Taiga or vitawash care to inform us of the story behind ITAS/T.W.O.P. girl? I didn't know she was a poster at T.W.O.P, though it figures. Color me interested in the full story...
Poeia- 09-24-2007
During the Inside the Actors' Studio Q&A, one girl asked if Hugh thought House would end up with Cuddy, Cameron or "dare I say it, Wilson." Then she got nervous and said something about how he must be aware that all over the internet...
His answer was that if the show runs long enough, he was sure House would go through them all. If you want to, there's always a way to have 2 people get together. And, although Robert might have something to say about it, Hugh was game.
The reaction was divided into "silly but fine," "silly but not fine. The ITAS interview was for talking about his career, etc." and "what an idiot, especially re bringing the internet fandom into it." The last group was especially vocal.
There are probably still copies of the interview up on YouTube. The Q&A is in the last few minutes of Part 3.

No, it's not. I didn't find her bashit either.
I saw the Inside Actor's Studio interview about two months ago and, honestly, the host annoyed me much more than her. She seemed nervous and a little silly because she didn't stop talking, but she had the guts to ask him something a lot of people want to.

I'm sorry to hear she got grief for asking what she did. I think it's great she had the guts to ask, amazing that they broadcast it, & love HL's response!
