The LA Times has this: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/tv/la-ca-house23sep23,1,7846242.story?coll=la-entnews-tv&ctrack=1&cset=true

okay, this is long a little "babbly", but if you don't read it then you just might miss something about jesse spencer being in some magazine that i'm not going to tell you until further down the page...i'm just sayin'... In television: There is "House" stuff on TVG's 411 this weekend. I haven't watched all of it, but I saw bits on the show itself (a whole segment, probably identical or similar to previous fall preview stuff), a little about the band playing at the TVG party and random Emmy crap. In magazines: It was a fun day at both the mailbox and newstand. And I finally got the latest copy of Bitch, yay. My mailman hates me, but at least he doesn't hate me so much that he throws my magazines out when he's done with them. There isn't a lot of actual content, but there are little bits and pieces here and there... EW: the cute Bones/House two page ad. Lisa's included in the Emmy fashion section with a little blurb about her ripping the dress off of a model in NY. "House" is the "must watch" show of the week and gets the little paragraph write up and includes the pic of Hugh in front of the classroom with the guitar. US: a pic of Jamie and Teri at the party. No Hugh and the picture's already been posted here, but a mention of the band is a mention of the band. In their little timeline breakdown they include this bit in the "3:24 pm" entry: "Despite ending her engagement with House costar jesse Spencer, Jennifer Morrison tells Us, "I love being on the show. Everyone is having a good time.". Other than to point out that they broke up, I have no idea why that even got a mention. The show (with a little pic of Hugh) gets included in the "and don't miss" TV section. Nothing of interest in the blurb. In fact, me saying "nothing of interest in the blurb" is longer than the actual blurb. The jackpot, though, is that Jesse's included in the "Hot Hollywood Power Players of 2007" spread. He's "The Import". He gets almost half a page with a nice pic and a little write up. I'm sure some Jesse fan out there has already bought and scanned it, but if not I can do that if there's any demand for it. It's really cute. Life and Style (I really don't even know why this is a magazine): the Bones/House ad pages. A little pic of Jennifer and Jesse (with the obligatory rip down the middle) and this bullshit blurb: "A CLOSE (HOUSE) CALL: House co-stars Jesse Spencer and Jennifer Morrison, once engaged, avoided each other by staying on opposite sides of the room during the TV Guide party". Um...whatever. There's another pic of Teri and Jamie in there with a blurb about the band, but again: no Hugh. It's one of the pics where you can see Jesse's arm, though. {g}. Lisa gets more fashion praise and another quote about stealing the dress during Fashion Week. OK: yet another Bones/House ad. This one's, obviously, bigger. So, um, if you want to hang one on your bulletin board this is the magazine to get. Not that grown women do that or anything. Anyway...there's a little spread on Fashion Week with a pic of Lisa with Mena Suvari and Carmen Electra. There's another pic of Lisa on the red carpet with the Phillips lightbulb that all the celebs were given and a pic of Hugh on keyboards with the band. They also do the increasingly lame timeline: At 3:14 Jennifer explained that her hair was blonde because of the Diana movie, at 12:05 the band took the stage at the party and at 12:30 Teri joined in saying that it was past her bedtime but she was asked to behave like a rocker so she was staying up late. And this is in no way "House" related, but there is this seriously gorgeous picture of Eric Dane in the magazine. I mention this because I find it amazing. I have no issue with the guy and he's kind of grown on me both on "Grey's Anatomy" *and* in real life as I see him do more and more interviews. he seems like a decent fellow, but he's just a little too "afternoon soap" for my tastes. There's something about him that's so good looking that he's almost *not* good looking. Yet...I'm sort of in love with this picture. That is all. Carry on. Anyway, I didn't buy Star or In Touch, but one of them had a little thingie with tiny pics of Jamie, Hugh and Teri (separately) playing at the party. It wasn't really necessary for me to buy the magazines I *did* buy so I cut myself off. Honestly, the only reason I'd buy Life and Style in the first place is because it was 99 cents. I'll buy just about anything for 99 cents. :-)

Thanks, amysusanne! Naturally, neither my Entertainment Weekly nor US arrived today. Boo, hiss. I haven't seen the JS article posted anywhere, but home delivery of US is usually today and tomorrow, so folks might not have found it yet. Someone did post the LE article in Bitch on house_md. Mmmm, Eric Dane.

Naturally, neither my Entertainment Weekly nor US arrived today. My EW *never* arrives on Friday. I don't know what I did to get so lucky. And Masi Oka's on the cover, so double yay. I don't subscribe to US because *technically* I'm opposed to it, but, you know, I'm not made of *wood*. {g} Boo, hiss. I haven't seen the JS article posted anywhere, but home delivery of US is usually today and tomorrow, so folks might not have found it yet. Here you go. It's lo-res, but the appropriate amount of pretty still shines through. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b141/amysusanne/jennifer%20and%20jesse/Picture138.jpg Mmmm, Eric Dane. Seriously! I mean, what the hell? When did I become a girl who just stares at a picture of Eric Dane for half an hour? Watching GA should be a different experience this year now that I've seen what, apparently, most of the rest of the viewers already saw.

okay, this is long a little "babbly", but if you don't read it then you just might miss something about jesse spencer being in some magazine that i'm not going to tell you until further down the page...i'm just sayin'... Well, that certainly kept MY attention. Thanks for the heads up on all the mags. The new magazines usually come out on Tuesdays here. That's actually worth a trip to Wal-Mart (I loathe having to go to Wal-Mart).

amysusanne- 09-21-2007

I know how to keep my audience captive. You know, unless they use the "find in page" key. Maybe I should start mispelling things to make people read all the way through...

extra_cat- 09-21-2007

Oh, I missed the post with the link when I was replying. Niiiiiiiiiice. Thanks for taking time to scan it and post it.

saara_zaara- 09-21-2007

I posted on the JS thread, but thought folks here might be interested Also in US Magazine this week, their hot hollywood powerplayers of 2007 - includes JS, among others, its worth scrolling through the slideshow on their website for the entire list. Jesse Spencer - The Import

Thanks for the link sz!

Seriously! I mean, what the hell? When did I become a girl who just stares at a picture of Eric Dane for half an hour? LOL...I had that experience with TV Guide and a picture of Sendhil Ramamurthy. I was just completely gobsmacked by it and had an overwhelming urge to tape it to my wall. I subscribe to US Weekly because I like to read in the bathtub, and if it falls in, I don't really care... Thanks for the scan!

cindylouwho- 09-21-2007

Ok so someone set me straight. Was HL on last week's cover of TV Guide? Did I lose my mind here?

saara_zaara- 09-21-2007

No, you're not losing your mind! See here for link to the scans (warning if you're a spoilerphobe, has a few small spoilers in it). http://houseofwhining.com/viewtopic.php?p=12979#12979

I discovered a couple of video interviews that I hadn't seen before on the House page of RTL, which is the station that broadcasts House in Germany. The interviews are with Robert Sean Leonard, Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps and Jesse Spencer and are fortunately original language without voiceover or even subtitles. These are from the first season, so I might be full of shit posting them as something new. And for some reason they all mostly talk about traveling. Odd. (I'm once again shaking my head at the stupidity of RTL - and German television in general - for sitting on these introductory interviews until already into the third season. Is anyone gonna find them interesting now, unless they are already a House fan?)

marykir- 09-21-2007

Was HL on last week's cover of TV Guide? He's on the cover of the Sep 24th issue, which will be on news stands for the next week.

saara_zaara- 09-21-2007

I know this was discussed earlier, but in case anyone hasn't seen it, scan of LE's interview in Bitch. http://community.livejournal.com/house_md/1418431.html
