Dr. Greg House is nominated in that TV Guide thing for Sexiest Curmudgeon. Well that's a ... slightly small competitive field, don't you think? Well, yes, plus it includes real people (Simon Cowell et al) and fictional people (G. House et al) so I wonder who gets the edge there :/

IRL and on a purely physical level, I actually find OE to be far more attractive and sexy than both JS and RSL. I agree IRL he can be sexy, but...his eyes. They're huge in a "I'm amazed they haven't fallen out" kind of way. Way back when "Against the Ropes" came out, based on the poster when he has that robe on, I honestly wasn't sure if he was a man or a woman.

You do realize they're basically rotating through the cast for the sexy issue? Not the little category selections, but the big "sexy people" photos... I'm pretty sure Hugh was in it the first year, Jesse the 2nd year, Jennifer last year. That sounds correct. I don't know about the first year because I wasn't paying attention, but I do know Jesse was in it 2 years ago and Jennifer was in it last year. I guess it was Omar's turn.

I dunno. I find OE pretty darned attractive. Moreso in pictures of OE than in pictures of Foreman, if that makes sense. Perhaps Foreman is just too buttoned up.

ikilledkenny- 04-22-2008

I also find him attractive when he's not Foreman. I even thought he was kinda cute in ER

DrSpaceman- 04-22-2008

I will admit that I occasionally find OE the best looking of the three, especially when he's dressed well. He's the rare man who can actually pull off something like a pink shirt with a pink tie (like he wore to one event) and look suave. RSL probably has it in his contract that he can't be considered for any of this ridiculousness LOL, probably. But speaking of, a bonafide RSL sighting: If anybody's in CA, RSL will be doing another reading at the Malibu Getty. It's May 3, and the event is The Best American Short Stories. RSL will be reading "Gleason" by Louise Erdrich, which has the following tease on the site: "We're going for a little walk," said the boy with gun. Note: hithah went to RSL's reading last year and made a good point that his performance (as well as the others) contained adult material, so anyone interested in going note that this is not necessarily kid-friendly.

RSL probably has it in his contract that he can't be considered for any of this ridiculousness Just you wait until they start bringing out the "Adorkable" issues of these magazines! It will be him and David Krumholtz all the way! :D

Olivia Wilde is interviewed in TV Guide this week. Scans are up here.

"His mommy issues are endless, I think." —OW Has she watched seasons 1 through 3? House has Daddy issues, not Mommy issues. He loves his mommy.

misere- 04-22-2008

It's possible she was just being glib, but even if she wasn't, it's not a bizarre suggestion. I've seen people on boards propose that House has Mommy issues or issues with women in general in part because he adores his mother consciously and subconsciously blames her for not knowing or not doing anything about his father's abuse.

"His mommy issues are endless, I think." —OW Has she watched seasons 1 through 3? House has Daddy issues, not Mommy issues. He loves his mommy. This fundamental misunderstanding of House may explain why OW sticks out like a sore thumb. She just doesn't get it.

Ranee- 04-22-2008

She just doesn't get it. True. Or she's been fed a piece of baloney by DS.

I've seen people on boards propose that House has Mommy issues or issues with women in general in part because he adores his mother consciously and subconsciously blames her for not knowing or not doing anything about his father's abuse. I've never thought that was a weird interpretation even though I never put the time into it to really figure out where my opinion falls in the whole thing. I do think both of House's parents fucked him up big time, though, and there are certainly some Mommy issues in there even if the Daddy issues dominate.

vitawash99- 04-22-2008

Has she watched seasons 1 through 3? House has Daddy issues, not Mommy issues. He loves his mommy. I kinda wonder. I mean, I feel the mommy issues thing is certainly a legitimate theory. But Sela Ward isn't what you'd call a dog, and it's generally been acknowledged that indeed, House and Stacy had a relationship.

NightOwl- 04-22-2008

Yes, I agree there may be some mommy issues. But they are tiny compared to his daddy issues. So tiny that, when someone asks you "What's House's damage?", "mommy issues" should not be the first thing you answer. The first thing you answer should be "daddy issues."
