All this talk of Marmite makes me want to vomit. Let's get back onto topics that don't make me want to claw the back of my throat out with a big fork.
Like the fact that yes, whilst SF interviewing HL would have won at anything, just the fact that it's an old friend (who is a genius) makes the whole interview that much better.
Old Gifto. It's just so sweet.
I know exactly what I'll exchange for - Fry's chocolate cream, twiglets & Robinson's Pink Grapefruit & Barley. Won't turn down reasonable offers of boxes of Quality Street or Maltersers either. :blushing:
Twiglets are icky. Robinson's Pink Grapefruit & Barley is a common addition to my cupboard. You can never go wrong with Quality Streets of Maltesers.
I know that if I weren't in England, I'd be asking for Jaffa Cakes or a tin of Heinz Baked Beans (which are hell to try and find in the US, from my experience).
Hah - let's start a system. Everyone who sends me magazines with House-related articles in the future gets Jaffa Cakes. I shall spread the wealth.
Unless you already get Jaffa Cakes  Fail.
We need to have a Food Thread or maybe a Foreign Exchange thread. Hee!
I basically never buy TV Guide but this time I think I will.
That interview is too wonderful to not purchase.
JAFFA CAKES! :w00t:
...sorry, I'll stop now
I am sadly unaware of some of these foodstuffs but if they are bad for me and give me a sugar high then they're probably among my new favorite foods.
If anyone wants to start a gift exchange I am willing to send Moon Pies. Sadly, greens don't travel too well, so you'll have to come visit to get that.
Jaffa Cakes
You know you love them already.
If only I had something vaguely on topic to say...
EDIT: Wikipedia has informed me that Jaffa Cakes appeared in the QI book. Stephen Fry hosts QI. This is therefore media about QI and thus, Stephen Fry. Anything Fry-related is on topic. Therefore, I am on topic.
That interview is awesome!
It made me laugh really hard. XDD
But, oh noes! Hugh Laurie is not pregnant! =(
.... XDD Now my mpreg slasher mind can“t stop thinking about that....
Just wanted to mention the link to the video that E_C posted on page 8 (thanks for that, btw!) - JS and OE are far too cute together, hee. Seriously, I love them (and I'm not entirely sure why).
I'm a spoiler phobe, but I so want to read this amazing article you're all raving about! Gah! I'll flip a coin then it won't technically be my fault if I'm horribly, horribly spoiled... Heads! I read!!!
Jaffa Cakes rule. I was in a fandom a few years back based around a UK drama that had a large Aussie fan base. Tim Tams were the currency of exchange.
eta. Great, great article, wonderful back and forth between them. Very cool.
Strictly, the pics are spoilers so avoid if you are utterly phobic and know nothing, but I found them easy to avoid in the text. They're on the first page of text, third column across, under a pink heading asking "What's new in season 4", skim down to the header "How's the good doctor's heart" and you're clear from thence forward.
FYI, Diane Kristine's reporting at her blog that she won't be writing weekly reviews of House this season (which is a shame IMO), though she'll still continue to write about House in general.

White coats and ties are bad
WAH! I hate to think of Wilson's ties as germ farms!
This quote cracked me up:
Johnson said the "bare below the elbows" dress code would help prevent the spread of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA, the deadly bacteria resistant to nearly every available antibiotic.
An added bonus would be a whole lotta forearm porn. :-)
We went through the whole no-watches-and-no-ties thing last year. Still have the coats though (while it lasts). It's true that they've become a question of status, but they're also dead practical. Do you have any idea how much crap we have to lug around? There's a reason those things come with *giant* pockets.
JS and OE are far too cute together, hee. Seriously, I love them (and I'm not entirely sure why).
I do, too! Part of it is because of the coldness and hostility between their characters at the end of S3 (and in S1 and S2 as well); it warms me in a weird way to see the actors getting along so well (yes, I can tell fiction apart from reality...most days. :P )
I also love their touchy-feely-ness: JS bumps and pushes against OE like a bratty kid brother would, and OE pretty much tolerates it with a big brotherly half-smile. I love this cast. Period.
