Hi, all! *waves* I'm padmemicheline on both TWoP and Livejournal, and I admit to being more of a lurker who pops up every now and then when I lose some of my shyness. I was more or less watching the situation occurring on TWoP from the sidelines, and I really hated how things were going, even though I wasn't very active (to me, the place really seemed kind of daunting). But things over here look ever so much more relaxed, and so I say a big "HUZZAH" for the creation of these forums! A little bit about me, I suppose...I'll be turning twenty at the end of the month, live with my parents in northern Minnesota as I go to the local community college to get my generals done, have five cats (so I'm already well on my way to becoming a crazy cat lady!), work mindless hours at Target, love all things British, tv, books, writing, and lots of other things. My current point of distinction is that not only did I not get warned for some recent posts I made at TWoP, I actually had a couple of very old warns removed by the mods there today. Very strange, but a little too late. Thrilled to be here instead!

Well, it easier to join here that TWoP. They have to approve you and such. Also, eeryone here is jsut so damn RELAXED, unlike on TWoP, where Darth Nitika tried to get the Hizzy board on topic. ETA: I really have to learn how to spell.

How would anyone at TWOP have begun to think that? Have announcements been made? No announcements, but it seems like posting has been quite a bit slower there (at least in the HoYay thread) I was just thinking out loud about why they would all of a sudden be removing warnings. They seem to be aware that people in alot of threads are really pissed off. It stands to reason that they might think that people might leave. I wasn't referring to people coming to this board in particular, but people leaving TwoP in general because they dislike the new policies.

That isn't happeninng here because I have no authoriteye. This friendly chatter and TOMFOOLERY would never be allowed. I'd make Darth look like a fluffy kitten. People would cower. But NO! Y'all want a relaxed and groovy atmosphere.

I thought we had agreed when planning this in H_us_W that we would get this set up and work out the kinks before we made any announcements about the forum? While this is all great, we've been up for less than 24 hours. I think we should wait a bit before inviting alot of people.
