Hello everybody! I am 22 years old and a House addict. I am quite exited about this new community.

I am just glad I am no longer the oldest around. On house-boards I think I am the oldest. :) Yay! :)

Gee, is everyone here a refugee...? Well, I noticed one person at least isn't. Yeah, I got about a half-dozen warnings from Kruschev, had one removed by the Old Guard and then got myself banned. After five years with an almost spotless record I'm convinced it wasn't my fault--someone just doesn't like me. :wink: Well, seeing so many familiar names, I'm not quite as paranoid as I had been about bad feelings being carried over from other forums but I'm not quite ready to reveal my identity yet. Because I'm sure I have been very clever in disguising any dead giveaways... :roll: I'm probably the oldest person here but I would prefer not to be called Granny--well, okay, if you must. I'm 51, I live in Indiana (I know) but at least it is a college town. I have a son who is 24 (in 12 days) and a daughter who is 19 (for 2 more months), three cats and currently a stray kitten who I am determined is not going to be a permanent member of our menagerie! I am disabled, have a lot of time on my hands and am pathetically emotionally attached to my House message board--well I was till it turned me out...so I may be crochety but I'm loyal. Oh, and I'm not really as opinionated and know-it-all as I seem and am generally open-minded about everything except Stacy..... Hope you find it in your hearts (assuming you have them) to let me hang around. I promise to be as good as I can. ETA: I just had to come back to say how deeply impressed I am by how intelligent and articulate you all are considering your youth. Seriously. You give me hope for the world! I guess I'm getting way too old for the notion that people who are more intelligent and articulate than I am must also be older than I am. *sigh* Age happens.....

Welcome, sweet fern! Not so much refugees as pro-actively taking the initiative to build an environment in which we can all relax & enjoy ourselves without Big Brother looking over our shoulders all the time. We're one big happy family here, so feel free to hang around & post as much as or little as you please - I'm sure you'll feel right at home in no time :P
