This is probably really OT, but I have never seen dueling smileys before. *love* Just to try and make up for the OT-ness, I'd really like a serious patching up of the H/W friendship. I have a longstanding aversion to watching fights between close friends or family members. I found the Tritter arc painful not because of the threat of possible loss of licences or jailtime, but because of the anger between H & W.

I found the Tritter arc painful not because of the threat of possible loss of licences or jailtime, but because of the anger between H & W. That's how I felt too. I don't want to see more angst/drama between them for whaterver reason. All I ask is a season 4 with lots of fun. I don't see any reason for Wilson to trust her after the way she treated him in the Tritter Arc. Furthermore, Wilson is quite manipulative of her when need be, and watching Cuddy be even more incompetent would drive me mad. ITA. Bring back the awesome!Cuddy from season 1. I miss her

Sans Serif- 08-19-2007

I'm volunteering to be her woman. Pick me, pick me I think you're going to have to fight Sansy for that! I'm so staying out of this! ;-) ooh a duel, I'm sooo watching that Yup, I got front row seats and popcorn. Aw, y'all stood up for my Cuddy love in my absence. A love triangle-type thing could be ok if done right (going by AYA and Housetraining, that is). If it had to happen, I really wouldn't want it getting too heavy. Lots of fun and threesome jokes, that's what I want. 407, I totally thought you were talking about Silja/Cuddy/me there until I read the House titles. Not that that's necessarily a bad idea. Cuddy does have enough boom in the back to go around. XD OTOH, if I duel I could make countless Princess Bride Inigio Montoya references and send this thread hurtling into Off Topic!!!11!1!!ELEVENTY-ONE!!! Silja, you seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you. I would sooner destroy a stained glass window than an artist like yourself. Um, topic . . . word on low romance this season, aside from H/W (and H/F, don't judge me!). I'd like to see Cuddy doing something to promote PPTH and the work being done there besides talking to donors (like that talk she and House gave pre-Airbourne).

...I kind of want Wilson healed by the love of a good man. *slinks away* Yeah, I don't really care too much about verisimilitude with regards to his depression, so long as it isn't dropped entirely. I'd REALLY like it to have been a set-up for a Big Gay Wilson Coming-Out Episode or Plot Arc. As undyingly supportive of H/W as I am, I'd love to see Wilson in a relationship with a man this season. That would kick so much @$$. And Possessive!Houseis sexy.

Jouse- 08-20-2007

So Sansy, pistols at twelve steps on the Heath at dawn tomorrow? (channelling Kramer) C-C-Cat fight..?? Possessive!Houseis sexy. possessive!House  *drifts to a happy place* I loved act your age cuz it seemed Cuddy was just an excuse for the House&Wison-ness. But if they will start fighting over her for real.. *shudders* Ugh, please no. It's obvious they care much more about each other than they do about Cuddy. It'd be worse than ODOR :(

saara_zaara- 08-20-2007

..I kind of want Wilson healed by the love of a good man. *slinks away* Me too - Chase! (Not impossible, he was cool with Kalvin hitting on him, I've always wondered about the implications of that).

..I kind of want Wilson healed by the love of a good man. *slinks away* Me too - Chase! (Not impossible, he was cool with Kalvin hitting on him, I've always wondered about the implications of that). You and the rest of the known universe, saara. ;) If I'm going to be on a heath at dawn I'd much rather be having a picnic than dueling.

LightMyCandle- 08-20-2007

possessive!House *drifts to a happy place* I loved act your age cuz it seemed Cuddy was just an excuse for the House&Wison-ness. But if they will start fighting over her for real.. *shudders* Ugh, please no. It's obvious they care much more about each other than they do about Cuddy. It'd be worse than ODOR possessive!House is only sexy when the possessiveness is directed at Wilson (which is about 90% of the time) but still. ITA, that they care more about each other than they do Cuddy, I don't think they will ever actually start fighting over her because House comes first to Wilson and if his being with Cuddy really upsets him or prevents Wilson from being with him whenever he's wanted than I don't see him putting up a fight to be with Cuddy.

Norah- 08-20-2007

I can see something like Cuddy wanting to get together with Wilson and dumping him in disgust because Wilson chooses House over Cuddy... ...and I don't really mean in any sort of House and Wilson as anything more than friends. Just that Wilson would decide to abandon a ship with Cuddy if it upset House kinda thing. Good point. You're totally right; if Wilson thought that House was in love with Cuddy then there's no way he'd date her. He'd probably be trying to hook both of them up if he thought that it would make House happy.

Jouse- 08-20-2007

possessive!House is only sexy when the possessiveness is directed at Wilson I'm blocking any other House!Possessiveness that might have accrued :P Here's a fantasy - I want season 4 to show us some possessive!Wilson (directed to House, again, cuz there's nothing else for me :P). We had subtle hints of that in the Tritter Arc and sometime later when he talked with Cameron - she seems to spark that in him, so these are the only Cameron scenes I can stomach - but I want more of that. He's usually masking his feelings so we don't know what he's thinking, but maybe something can make him lose his temper and get all Territorial. Yum.

fluffy2001- 08-23-2007

I've avoided this thread because I actually resolved that most of my wishlist was satisfied by season three (yes, the outside of Chase's apartment counted as seeing Chase's apartment for me) and I was not going to set any lofty expectations for season 4. But, one meager wish came to me today. I want Chase and Cameron to now be on a first name basis. That's it. I have a strong feeling the House and Wilson relationship is really going to get better this year. And absolutely nothing will change with House/Cuddy. And all the ducklings will be wallpaper this year, not just Chase. Sorry, those are predictions. Is there a thread for that somewhere? (off to go searching).

LightMyCandle- 08-23-2007

That's it. I have a strong feeling the House and Wilson relationship is really going to get better this year. And absolutely nothing will change with House/Cuddy. And all the ducklings will be wallpaper this year For some reason, I'm inclined to agree with you. I really don't think that the original ducklings are going to get all that much attention this season, they do seem set on Huddy (at least one night of crazy sex) and DS recognized that they didn't expect last season to be so dark as a result of tearing down the House/Wilson relationship (he said something along those lines, I don't have a direct quote) and they did spend a lot of time reparing it after Tritter, so I just highly doubt that they're goint to be hurting their relationship again.

extra_cat- 08-23-2007

No! No! No! You're speaking evil. The ducklings must not be wallpaper! Well, specifically, Chase must not be wallpaper. Cameron and Foreman can play the role of a potted plant and a lampshade for all I care. We need more Chase, not less! He's already had the short end of the screentime for the last three years. *sticks fingers in ears and sings la la la in denial of the possibility of even less Chase than before*

LightMyCandle- 08-24-2007

The ducklings must not be wallpaper! I should specify, I think that any stories centered on the duckilings will center around each other, well maybe not Foreman, but Chase and Cameron, I think. If the idea is that they've grown up I don't think that their lives will center around House as much as they have been. On House's end, he's had other fellows, are we really to believe that no one else has gotten to him like these three? It's possible but seeing as how his attitude has gotten progressively worse over the last three years, I tend to doubt it.

blacktop- 08-24-2007

My wish list for season four: -- more strong Cuddy with increased House interest in her. I loved the possessive, driven, confused House we saw last half of season 3, so I want them to get together in a hot juicy tryst, followed by a break-up that leaves open the possibility of more in the future, and just once having House call Cuddy "Lisa" would be explosively delicious; -- more clues about the families of Wilson and Cuddy, especially Wilson's lost brother and Cuddy's mother, who I imagine as a Lwaxana Troi type of power figure; -- angsty resolution of the baby arc: no possibility of a baby for Cuddy but perhaps a brief pregnancy followed by a miscarriage, doesn't matter who the father is; -- House flirting with any and everyone among the new fellows, but getting a turndown; -- House admitting to himself how much he needs the professional contributions of Foreman (solid ddx with superior observational skills to keep House from over-indulging in the romance of the weird), Chase (ocassional flashes of eccentric insight), and Cameron (pulling the ethical reins to keep the team on course); Hugh Laurie said at the TCA that "Please help me" are the most difficult and beautiful words in the language, so I want that theme reflected in House's progression this season; -- another visitor from House's past, preferably an old teacher or mentor or a former fellow who has escaped his orbit; -- some insight into how Wilson and House met and where Wilson was during the infarction; -- the death of one of House's parents; -- another poker game; -- another excuse for House and Wilson to dress up in tuxes; -- House in a shower, classroom, bed, grocery store, baseball game; -- House sitting in on keyboards at a local jazz dive; -- Wilson in therapy; --Wilson getting an apartment and a serious girlfriend who is not a waif, not a cancer patient, not a push-over, and not an antagonist to House; -- an African-American woman doctor or POTW who is not a mute teen (Who's your Daddy) or comatose incestuous wife (Fool for Love) or a prostitute (Airborne); Black women are surprisingly underrepresented in this show after three seasons; -- a credible psychologist or psychiatrist as a semi-regular for the show; -- combining the three wishes above and having Wilson's girlfriend be an African-American mental health professional would be smashing and would offer lots of lovely challenges all around; -- House wooing hospital donors And a loud yes, to everyone above who begged that Fox lay off the overly dramatic announcer -- what a drag that is every week!
