ARIZONA: Rerun the CBC, check liver functions, and do a heterophile antibody test as well as an Epstein-Barr Virus titer. Between those, we should be able to confirm if it's Infectious Mononucleosis. Patient's a bit young, but so was the last one. MARCH: Okay. Will do. *Super SUPER TARDIS action* MARCH: CBC revealed normocytic anemia. That hasn't changed. His liver function test had elevated results. The heterophile antibody test came back negative. Also, negative for Epstein-Barr and Infectious Mononucleosis. EVERYONE: Hmmm.

March, are we still continuing this one? My compy died shortly after you posted this, so I didn't see it. To refresh: 4 y/o with normocytic anemia and fever >102 F. Ruled out direct genetic causes. Labs show normocytic anemia, atypical lymphocytes, and elevated liver enzymes. Negative for Epstein-Barr Virus. ETA - lets get a bone marrow biopsy and check for ferritin levels.

I'm good with continuing it, but I think we're the only ones playing. *g* ARIZONA: Do a bone marrow biopsy. HOUSE: Welcome back! MARCH: Sorry. I just came out of a music box. EVERYONE: ... *Super TARDIS action* MARCH: Nothing on the bone marrow biopsy. ARIZONA: Then check ferritin levels. MARCH: Ferritin levels are high. HOUSE: Ah ha. I knew something had to be wrong. MARCH: Yeah.

MARCH: Sorry. I just came out of a music box. Sometimes I too feel as if I've been in Camberwick Green. Questions: Aside from the fever, what made the parents bring the kid in? Labs: C-Reactive Protein, serum copper

March301- 01-26-2008

ARIZONA: I also feel as if I've been in Camberwick Green. HOUSE: ... I can safely say I've never had that experience. MARCH: Sometimes I used to pretend Oscar The Grouch lived in the trashcans out back. HOUSE: ... ARIZONA: Anyway. Aside from the fever, what made the parents bring the kid in? MARCH: Well, they're overly paranoid and have a lot of money, so they sent the kid in for fever and Cuddy thought she was cute so didn't send her away. However, there's now a trunchal rash. ARIZONA: Okay. Labs: C-Reactive Protein, serum copper. MARCH: Maximum CRP levels shown in the test. Serum copper is elevated.

Wilson's Disease

March301- 01-26-2008

ARIZONA: Wilson's Disease. MARCH: Tested negative for Wilson's. HOUSE: Damn.

arizonamyrie- 01-26-2008

Unfortunately, my only other idea right now is some sort of cancer. Yeah, real helpful, I know. But it gets Weird Uncle Wilsy over here.

March301- 01-28-2008

WILSON: Did you just call me Weird Uncle Wilsy? HOUSE: No, but since you rang... WILSON: No, someone called me Weird Uncle Wilsy. HOUSE: Look, if the shoe fits. Anyway. Arizona suspects cancer. WILSON: Only if I get to use your TARDIS. HOUSE: Whatever. Just stop whining. *SUPER SUPER EXCITED TARDIS ACTION* WILSON: I think the TARDIS likes me. HOUSE: That's actually nothing to be proud of. Did you figure it out? WILSON: Not cancer. However I noticed swollen lymph nodes on the left side and there's now a rash on his right hand. HOUSE: Can I go in there and make sure he doesn't scratch? MARCH: NO. I'll do it.

Congrats everyone; when I googled the labs for this case, this URL was the first listed in the search results. So, I've been googling for awhile, and here's my shortlist: Copper-Associated Hepatitis Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis ETA: Erythropoietic protoporphyria ETA2: Cooley Anemia After doing more research, I'm leaning towards the Cooley Anemia as my number one choice. And if this isn't it, then I concede all my knowledge/patience to you March301.

March301- 02-10-2008

MARCH: *whistles* Hey, guess what everyone? HOUSE: You're whistling even though I happen to know you can't whistle? MARCH: Shut up, House. I'm famous on Google! HOUSE: ... ARIZONA: I've got a whole list of things they could be. HOUSE: Great. Except they're all incorrect. ARIZONA: ! MARCH: There's a rash on her hand. Here's another hint: Her mother and father are from Japan. Obviously, Asian ancestry. HOUSE: Ah, Nihon kara kimashite desu ka?* MARCH: So desu ne.* *Ahh, from Japan? *Yep.

The only other thing I can think of but have been writing it off is cutaneous porphyria.

Well...nobody seems to be playing this anymore, so im going to try cytochrome c oxidase overproduction. i havent even looked at the symptoms but i have to go soon. by the way, i have started a new forum based on this game and i would love for it to be this forums subsidary. i think that the game would work better as a separate forum or as a subforum, so i made a new IPB forum. thanks for keeping the game alive during my absence (too much schoolwork). Oh. its at ddgame.ipbfree.com. And the more people who go, the more fun it will be, so make sure to tell your friends to visit either this game or that game, cuz i would really like to play again. Thanks for your time.

And I have to say (and I've been meaning to post for awhile) - March, I think our patient is dead. Autopsy report? And vijay, I've been really busy too. That's what happens when you try to cram a second 4-year degree into two years (nursing). But I'll check out the DDx game.

While we're waiting for the report, may I ask—is the topic an actual House quote and, if so, from which ep?
