I've always liked her better as a brunette but I have to say I really love her hairstyle in those pictures. Her face looks lovely. Now, the dress I"m not a fan of, the style, the length, that little frill thing on the straps. But, I rarely like the dresses she wears.

Can't stand the dress - way too long & full on her, with the badly fitting straps it looks like it hasn't been tailored to her properly. Is that a ruffle on the strap? I had the horrible impression it was fur trim.
Yet another bad dress here. The accessories look odd with it too. Someone needs to get the girl a stylist.

The only thing I can ever remember really thinking suited her well that she wore was that cream lacy dress for last year's Emmys IIRC.

She does need a stylist. And is it the hair? She looks like she's ten years older than she is.

Aha! That's what's bothering me, the hair & makeup is very aging on her.

Someone said earlier that she looked like Nicole Kidman and I didn't believe it until I saw the photos from that event. But she did. But in these, she looks older than Nicole Kidman who is--I think--40 now.

I actually liked that outfit - it's another sack-like empire waist, but it shows off her fabulous legs. I wouldn't have picked that color, but it's a "pink party".
The makeup is quite severe, but again, that's a very stylish look. Right out of my Sephora catalog.

What scares me is, I can't believe she doesn't have one....
Sorry to disagree with you vita, but I hate that dress. shudder
Whoa. I liked the black dress a lot till I saw the back...too...much...back. Also, while the style suited her looks, I think it doesn't suit a climate and time of year with no snow on the ground...too sort of wintery and gothic/romantic for a hollywood type party to my way of thinking.
like one of those Hollywood starlets from the old days.
Absolutely! I have always thought that was the best look for her--especially with all the grim Cameron-ness and the dark hair. Her real persona seems to be more sweetness and light and the blonde hair fits with that but I prefer her with the '40's Hemingway heroine look.

Empire waists are in right now. I think JM looks better in pastels and more feminine styles too, but anyone who knows me IRL could tell you that I have little fashion sense.
That blonde hair does make her look like Nicole Kidman. I didn't realize it before.
Why am I here? Oh yeah, I wanted to know if she was a real blonde. I guess she really does look like Nicole Kidman, then!

Yeah, she's 40 now and looks more plastic than Barbie, which is such a shame, because before she started messing with her face I thought Nicole Kidman was absolutely gorgeous.
As I said before, it's not that I hate the dress, but I think JM would have been better off wearing a dress more, oh what's the word, form fitting? I agree with Saara_Zaara that the girl desperately needs a good stylist. A good stylist can do wonders for you, just look for example at Nicole Richie before stylist and after she got a good stylist.

Yes, she's naturally a blonde.
LightMyCandle- 09-09-2007
Okay, that pink thing looks like a robe.
vitawash99- 09-09-2007
Hee. On another look, the pink dress is bad. The length seems to be the *only* thing I actually like about it. It appears to be made of recycled gift wrap. (Man, those Fug girls are right. Shiny fabric is evil.)

I heart her shoes, a whole, whole lot.
Good grief. The moment she actually appears in public in a flattering dress/shoes combo she decides to do something funky with her hair.
amysusanne- 09-12-2007
omg, i love those shoes. JM commits more than her fair share of fashion don'ts, but every once in awhile she pulls off something great and she can *wear* those shoes. and they look great with the dress. and while i'm praising her, the lipstick is so much better with that outfit/hairstyle than it was with that pink thing. it works with the black dress and doesn't make her look she's in halloween makeup. a lighter shade would have looked better, but it's far from hideous.
