JM at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
I sincerely hope she chooses a better dress for the Primetime Emmys, because that whole look is not working for her. Better yet, hire a decent stylist. I seriously groaned the second after I saw those pics. Ugh.

Actually, I kinda like the dress, although it looks oddly severe when she's in out in the sun. But I love her hair and makeup - very old Hollywood (which is, of course, very stylish).

It's not that bad, I've seen much worse at major awards. Her face looks a bit off, can't quite put my finger on the why.

Not too crazy aboutt he dress OR the blonde hair.

She looks nauseatingly like Nicole Kidman to me in these pics.

(pops in to ask a question and sees that new pictures are conveniently posted) Is JM naturally a blonde or a brunette? Does anyone know? I'm assuming brunette.
What vitawash said about her look.

I think she's a blonde.

You might be right with that. Sadly enough, that's always a bad thing these days.

Even though she's naturally a blond, for some reason J-Mo looks better as a brunette. She looks healthier as a brunette. The blond hair tends to make her look a little on the washed out side. But her hair style and make up is lovely.
I do wonder, though, why she tends to prefer all those shapeless dresses. She has the kind of body the clothing industry caters to (assuming Hollywood is ground zero for all those people that fit into size 0,1 & 2 jeans. I hate you all.) yet picks the dresses that resemble a grocery store sack instead.
Taiga- 09-08-2007
I was wondering that too, bailey!
Thanks for the answers about the hair colour. She does look better as a brunette, that's why I assumed she was one. I know she auditioned with both hair colours, I wonder why they went brunette on the show? Either Greg House or the casting director has a thing for brunettes, that's certain.
vitawash99- 09-08-2007
I know - the clothes she could wear! And sometimes she dresses like the Regency never ended.
I believe she is a natural blonde. But the brunette shades they use on House really flattered her skin tone and eyes.
Poeia- 09-08-2007
I think Bryan Singer wanted her as a brunette.
The story they told at An Evening with House was that the network wanted a choice so he picked the tapes of 2 women who he liked for Cameron. One was JM as a blonde and the other was her as a brunette. He hadn't realized that they were the same woman. Of course that's the same man who hadn't realized that HL was English (even though he said a few sentences at the beginning of the tape with his Eng. accent before starting the scene.
What I never understand about JM's clothing choice is that she seems to love spaghetti straps. But she either doesn't have the shoulders or the posture for them -- she's constantly pushing them back up.
I like the hairdo. And one good thing about her as a blonde on the show is that I was tired of Cameron and Cuddy having the same hair color.
misere- 09-08-2007
I was tired of Cameron and Cuddy having the same hair color.
But their hair never looked remotely similar. Apart from the styles, LE's has always been far darker, even in season one.
The dress looks even worse from the back. It is almost reaches her ass.

Ah.

I really hope she has those straps glued to her shoulders then. And misere, to be fair to JM the dresses on some of the other women in these photos are worse!
Is her dress supposed to drag on the ground like that? Seriously, I want to know.
Poeia- 09-08-2007
Oh, my. She was going for a Hillary Swank at the Oscars thing with that low-cut back. Instead, my first reaction was "does she have a severe case of scoliosis?"
NOT a good look on her at all.
ETA: I do like her earrings.
And does anyone know why Leslie Caron came dressed as a clown?
aenissesthai- 09-08-2007
Here I go again. :P
I thought she looked lovely, blonde hair, backless dress and all--like one of those Hollywood starlets from the old days.
And she definitely has the figure to pull it off. I also think she loves empire-waist dresses; they suit her less-than-Pamela-Anderson-sized breasts (for which I envy her!) without the neckline gapping open.
