Craphole Island: The Lost Thread
This thread is for all things Lost: The Lostaways, the Others, Dharma, the 'security system', etc. Lost premieres in the US on January 31.

"craphole island"... Can't wait for the premiere! Something mentioned when Lost were discussed in the Drama thread: Jack's father. His body is missing isn't it? Oh galaxygirl, your icon? Pure love... See you in another life...

galaxygirl- 01-22-2008

It wasn't in the casket when Jack found it...He also connects to more Lostaways than anyone, he appeared in more episodes than Bernard for example. I think Christian Shepard will become important in the future. edited because I can't type.

george1988- 01-22-2008

AND he's Claire's father too... I want to see Claire and Jack finding out... *sigh* I miss Lost... And the 4th season preview only managed to make the waiting more unbearable.

Five more days!! It seems like yesterday that it still was many months away Now, fellow Lostaholics, what are your wishes for the upcoming season? I don't have any big wishes, I've decided to sit back and enjoy the story they are going to tell. Also: Does Jack make it back to the Island as he said he desperately wanted in the FF in last season's finale. Will he be the only one to go back, will Kate go with him? I'm rewatching season 2 now on DVD and I have to say that I like Ana-Lucia a lot better than I did when the episodes originally aired. Back then, I hated her, now I sorta like her. Still don't like Michael that much and I'm still not a big Kate fan.

george1988- 01-27-2008

Wishes? I don't know... I wish Charlie hadn't died. Does that count? *sigh* That show never ceases to amaze me. I'm too scared to wish for anything. I'm still confused as to what might happen that will make Jack want to go back to the island so badly. As for Kate, she'd better stay as far away from Jack(or Sawyer for that matter, butit's too late for that) as possible. Yep, not a Kate fan either. As for Ana-Lucia, I neither loved her nor hated her. I was still bummed by the way she died though. So not fair. My wish is that nothing happens to Sayid. He's been my favorite character since day one.

galaxygirl- 01-27-2008

I never cared much for Charlie, but he died a heroic death trying to help the others and trying to safe Desmond, not to mention that he managed to give Des that final message. I wonder if Des manages to tell everyone that before those people who Jack was talking to come to the island. I wonder if Mikhail is really dead now(thought that a few times before) ;) I also love Sayid, he one of my favorites of the original cast, with Locke and Jack. I had a big crush on Foxy back when he was on Party of Five. Found this on the Fuselage, it's a slightly spoilerish billboard in Tallahassee. I love the Lost promo people.

I wonder if Des manages to tell everyone that before those people who Jack was talking to come to the island. With him being underwater, and the others on that radio tower I don't know if he'll make it in time. Even if he does, I don't think it will make any difference. had a big crush on Foxy back when he was on Party of Five. Ah.. Party of Five. The O.C. of its time. (only better) Definetly loved him there. And I find his character-Charlie was it?- very similar to Jack. Always the leader/protector, doing the decision-making and caring for everybody... I really want to see what will become of Ben. I know I should probably hate him, but for some weird reason, I can't bring myself to do it.

The blurb for the first new ep, The Beginning of the End, says " Convinced that rescue is near, the survivors are uncertain whether to believe Charlie's final message warning them about their apparent rescuers." So I guess Des, heartbroken that it's not Penny's ship, still manages to speed race over to the tower to warn the rest of the castaways. That SOB Mikhail is a bad penny - he'll be baaack I bet. In a slight spoiler, there was some mention of interesting developments for Sayid - spoiler--->perhaps a new love interest<--- May Allah grant him good things - I've also liked him from day one. I'm dying to know why Jack insists they have to go back - did they screw with time, is he desperately unhappy back in civilization? I'm another one who is going to relax and enjoy what I'm sure is going to be a great ride! Kate is OK with me, but if I hear Michael shout "My boy!" one more time, I'll tear my hair out. Never my fav charater, that one. I Tivo'd a movie last night with Josh Holloway (Sawyer). Haven't watched it yet, but it must have been made during the hiatus, since it's dated 2007. He plays a kidnapper whose young victim is some kind of devil child. From the promos, it seems that his character is very much like Sawyer, but I'll let you know after I've screened it. Anybody see it? Despite the strike, a real squee-week for me - Lost is back, new House eps, and Craig Ferguson took his citizenship test. All around ::woots!:: are the order of the day!

I don't know why, but after watching two episodes of Lost I just lost interest. Maybe I should borrow the DVD and try again.

And I find his character-Charlie was it?- very similar to Jack. Always the leader/protector, doing the decision-making and caring for everybody... Yeah. Charlie Salinger. All the other female watchers I knew were all about Bailey, I was all about Charlie. I can see the similarities between Charlie and Jack. Both got pushed into a leader role due to circumstances(Charlie's case the death of his parents, putting him in charge of his siblings, Jack's case the plane crash and taking up the leader role pretty much right away, despite his own reservations towards it) I really want to see what will become of Ben. I know I should probably hate him, but for some weird reason, I can't bring myself to do it. I love to hate Ben. It seems that he too wants what's best for his people, it just isn't the same thing the Losties want. I'm fascinated by the Others, I want to know more about them, how they got here, if they all came from outside the island and were brought in like Ben and Juliet were or if they are like Richard and have been here for a very long time(since Richard didn't seemed to have aged at all between Ben's flashback and when we saw him in current Island time...freaky much...) Kate is OK with me, but if I hear Michael shout "My boy!" one more time, I'll tear my hair out. Never my fav charater, that one. He thankfully just ran off again to find Walt in the DVD's I'm watching, IIRC he won't be back for a while. Despite the strike, a real squee-week for me - Lost is back, new House eps, and Craig Ferguson took his citizenship test. All around ::woots!:: are the order of the day! Yeah, it's going to be a good week, but don't mention the citizenship test again, I'm about a year or two away from that and it freaks me out ;)

SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! I never cared much for Charlie, but he died a heroic death trying to help the others and trying to safe Desmond, not to mention that he managed to give Des that final message. I just watched Greatest Hits again and, my goodness, it's sad! And this is coming from someone who also never really liked Charlie. Even his flashbacks weren't annoying in that episode. Anyway, I'm excited. I'm trying to remain spoiler-free, but it's hard because I want to know So Much! AAarrrrgggh!

I just watched Greatest Hits again and, my goodness, it's sad! And this is coming from someone who also never really liked Charlie. Even his flashbacks weren't annoying in that episode. For me, that was Charlie's finest hour. His flashbacks were sympathetic, I didn't want to smack him for most of the episode like I usually want to do. TPTB did well. They always seem to do well with the deaths on the show, even all the way back to poor Boone's death. Anyway, I'm excited. I'm trying to remain spoiler-free, but it's hard because I want to know So Much! AAarrrrgggh! I'm trying, I really am. It's just so damn hard. For me, I'm pretty unspoiled, I know some stuff, but nothing really big. I actually ran out of the Ausiello/Kristen spoiler thread at the 'Lage because they were starting to talk about really big spoilers. No, nothing those two came with, spoilers came from a different, more reliable source ;)

if they are like Richard and have been here for a very long time(since Richard didn't seemed to have aged at all between Ben's flashback and when we saw him in current Island time...freaky much...) I had no doubt that Ben was older than Richard. When I saw Ben's flashback I went  I'm dying to know why Jack insists they have to go back - did they screw with time, is he desperately unhappy back in civilization? I don't know what happens, but it must be really awful, because Jack looks like a total mess in the flashforward. He thankfully just ran off again to find Walt in the DVD's I'm watching, IIRC he won't be back for a while. Ah, Walt. That kid is annoying and creepy. I wonder what's so special about him. I wouldn't mind if I never saw him or Michael again, but I would like to know where they went after leaving the island and why they never came back for the others, or sent help.

warycary- 01-27-2008

galaxygirl - this is Lost remember! Anyone can suddenly come back, even - hawk-phtoo- Michael. GG - ABUNDANT good luck with the citizenship test. It is much harder now - lots of Americans couldn't pass it I'm sure. But you have plenty of time to prepare, and passing will give you a certain glow of superiority over the natives! LOL! Yeah, what's the story with the ageless Richard? And is Juliet really to be trusted now? As for the deaths on the show, they are usually well done. I did feel awful for poor sweet Hurley when Libby died, though. Didn't care at all for Ana-Lucia, so I didn't mind when she got snuffed. But like you guys, I suspect I'll like her better after repeated exposure. I just tend to skim her eps, so I suppose I should give her a second chance. That's what the island seems to be about, after all. ;) I'm also very eager to see Claire's reaction to Charlie's fate - sniff, sniff - poor Aaron! And I'd like to see more development of Sun and Jin. Antsy excitement is building - I should never have looked in on you guys! ETA: I had no doubt that Ben was older than Richard. When I saw Ben's flashback I went  george, maybe I haven't had enough sleep, but that just had me hysterical laughing!
