OH.MY.GOD. I needed to take notes dammit!

I agree the finale was great! Right from the beginning we finally got a glimpse of Jacob and the person who turned out to be Fake Locke. I think the ship that was sailing out in the water as they sat on the beach will turn out to be Black Rock and perhaps the people on that ship turn out to be the original others. Remember back in season one how the others used to dress up as pirates? BTW, did anyone notice that Jacob was wearing a white shirt while the other man wore a black one? Is this supposed to tell us that Jacob is the good guy? It was interesting to see the flashbacks of how Jacob had met the Losties before and I'm curious as to why he had physically touched each of them in some way. I think Jacob knew that he was going to be killed and had to bring each of them back to the island to change destiny. Jacob didn't seem at all surprised to see Ben and Locke, almost as if he was expecting them. I, however, was shocked to learn that the crate that Alana and her crew were carrying around contained the real Locke's dead body. It certainly explained why Locke's personality had changed so drastically and I loved when Jacob said to Fake Locke, “I guess you found a loophole”. Also, am I the only one who actually felt bad for Ben at the end? And who do you think Jacob was referring to when he said, “They're coming”? The most heartbreaking part of the show was when Juliet fell into the pit. As Sawyer was holding onto her I kept screaming at the TV for him to save her but somehow knew it was hopeless. How fitting that she would be the one to detonate the bomb. Even after two hours, I didn't want the show to end. I can't wait to find out if Faraday's plan worked and to have all of our questions finally answered next season.

So confusing, but so damn good. THEY KILLED JULIET! BASTARDS! That scene was heartbreaking. I thought Sawyer might throw himself in the pit after her. I was bummed that she kept telling him that she loved him and he didn't respond in kind. I guess he saw it as giving up when he still thought her could save her but I wish he had said it. I'm a romantic at heart. Oh hell, why didn't they toss Kate down in that pit? I guess they thought people would cheer. Jack could get tossed down there and I wouldn't care either. I felt so bad for Ben during the "Why not me?" scene. I can't love Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn more at this point. They're both so amazing. What was the Latin translation to "What lies in the shadow of the statue?" I didn't have time to write it down when it popped up on my closed captioning.

What was the Latin translation to "What lies in the shadow of the statue?" I didn't have time to write it down when it popped up on my closed captioning. He who will protect (or save) us all. I just read that Elizabeth Mitchell has a series lined up next year or something. That scene was heartbreaking. *sniff Oh Ben, I too felt bad for him! I read in one of the comments somewhere that at the end with the flash of light the Losties that are in the 70s will be brought to present time on island. Jacob saying "They're coming" meant them. I like that idea.

fffaw- 05-14-2009

Does that mean we get Juliet back? Please? WAH!

houserocket7- 05-17-2009

Losties will love this

I wanted to give this thread a little bump. I'm excited for tonight's premiere, but I'm so sure that I've forgotten all the plot nuances in the uber-long hiatus. Hopefully, it will all come back to me as I watch.

Namaste- 02-02-2010

What's this? Lost is back? I hadn't heard. (I like it well enough, just ... enough with the hype people. If Steve Jobs showed the premiere on the iPad, I think the Internet would have imploded.)

spicyride- 02-02-2010

I am so super excited for this! 8pm eastern has a 1 hour hey what happened before now. The 2 hour premiere will follow. They also always start the episode with "previously on Lost".

fffaw- 02-02-2010

Okay, that premiere officially made my brain explode. AMAZING. I am so excited for this season (but as usual, thoroughly confused).

galaxygirl- 02-02-2010

Holy mindfuck team Darlton. That was a brilliant start of the season, can't wait for the rest of it. Loved that we got at least some big answers tonight. I wonder if Sayid is Jacob now...

fffaw- 02-02-2010

I HOPE he's Jacob now. Looks like they'll need help with the Man in Black/Locke. I love me some Evil!Locke action already.

I HOPE he's Jacob now. Looks like they'll need help with the Man in Black/Locke. I love me some Evil!Locke action already. The look on evil Locke's face when he said it was ironic because he wanted to get back home was bad ass. I was like WHOA! That premiere was A+. It's going to be so fun. I am for the most part confused though. Which I guess is perfectly normal for this show. Are there two different realities going on or ? Like are we supposed to know and I'm dumb, or we just don't know yet. We're supposed to be like WTF right? And Julia saying "it worked"? AAAHHH!!!

fffaw- 02-03-2010

The look on evil Locke's face when he said it was ironic because he wanted to get back home was bad ass. I was like WHOA! I totally squealed during that look. Awesomesauce. I have no bloody clue what is going on right now either. I'm just happy to be along for the ride. I'm going to comb the blogs today and hopefully someone more erudite than I will know what's happening!

I wonder if Sayid is Jacob now... That's what I believe too. Miles reaction to Sayid's body seemed as if he knew something wasn't right and when Hurley asked him about it, Miles seemed too afraid (or maybe just confused) to tell him. The look on evil Locke's face when he said it was ironic because he wanted to get back home was bad ass. I was like WHOA! Terry O'Quinn's performance was amazing. I got chills when evil!Locke said he wanted to go home. And the way he switched between the two characters was amazing. You could even see the resigned slump in the shoulders and look of defeat when Locke was on the plane to LA. It struck me when, back in LA, Locke had told Jack his spinal injury was irreversible and Jack replied, "Nothing is irreversible". It made me think of Evil!Locke's description to Ben about how Locke died and calling him pathetic. I can't help but wonder if the real Locke is going to somehow turn out to be a hero in all of this after all. It was nice to finally have some answers, such as what/who is the Smoke Monster, but I was left with so many more questions. For example, at the beginning of the show, what was with the island being underwater and yet they are all still living on the island? Did the island sink when the bomb detonated or it hasn't sunk yet and it will happen due to some future event? When Juliet was dying and hallucinating, she asked Hurley out for coffee. That has got to be significant. Why was Desmond on the plane and why did he disappear after Jack saved Charlie's life? Desmond was always the one on the island who saved Charlie's life so I thought that was very odd. Also, Charlie saying he was “supposed to die”. The airline lost Jack's father. WTF? Maybe I'm nuts, but I'm still not sure which is the good guy, Jacob or MIB. Can't wait for next week when we get more answers, and I'm sure more questions.
