So, can anyone explain to me why they're showing the only 3 episodes they have left on consecutive tuesday-sunday-tuesday? Some sort of special weekend? I would have thought they would make the most of what's left and spread it out more. Its also a reflection of the original plan for the two part possibly-Huddy eps that were envisioned to air post-Super Bowl & then be completed the following Tuesday, they wanted to get some momentum with bringing possibly keeping the female demographic happy post-football & also enticing new viewers to the show . With the scheduling locked so long ago in its probably too much effort to change it now.

I hear It's a Wonderful Lie is Jan 29 Frozen Feb 2nd or 3rd ----No Idea. Go to www.housemd-guide.com Gah! I could've sworn there was a thing...Like, some kind of thing that happens and there's hot wings and beer and guys in tight pants running around chasing a ball...Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't shake this feeling that House has something to do with that. DAMMIT! Anybody? Oh! Oh! I know!! Is it tennis?

jonne- 01-22-2008

Lacrosse!

fffaw- 01-22-2008

You're all wrong! It's FIGURE SKATING.

You're all wrong! It's FIGURE SKATING. Dammit, that was my second choice.

Fox is not playing fair with us. They strung us along for two months so they could play their last new episodes during February sweeps month. Then we have to wait until next fall, if you want to assume there will actually be a Season 5. I am not watching any network TV after these three episodes are over.

Fox is playing just as fair as any of the networks, for what it's worth. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the current talks will produce a settlement soon. According to some articles, most dramas could still get in another four or five episodes for the season if they have a settlement by Feb. 1. (And, by the way, you'll find plenty of discussions on the strike over in the "Real Life" forums.)

Fast national ratings from PI Feedback: 22.48M viewers, 12.9/19 households, 8.6/20 A18-49. More people watched the Moment of Truth premiere last week than watched House this week. Sad...

So do we have an actual time for when 'Frozen' will start? "After the Superbowl" is pretty vague. I won't have to WATCH the Superbowl to catch it, will I?

Poeia- 02-02-2008

Sports games are always allowed to run as long as necessary ever since NBC cut off the last minutes of a football game to start Heidi on time. The network actually has some control over the timing of the game in that they can make it go longer by cutting for a commercial. And they do want it to last. The approximate time for House is 10 eastern. If you tune in 30-40 minutes before that, you should be pretty safe. Also, we're going to have a real time Super Bowl thread in the Housebound No More section. You could check that periodically to see get a sense of how far along the game is. ETA: Thank Namaste. It was her idea. (It's for discussing the game and the ads.)

So do we have an actual time for when 'Frozen' will start? "After the Superbowl" is pretty vague. I won't have to WATCH the Superbowl to catch it, will I? Taiga, LOL! Well, after the Heidi Bowl fiasco, no network will ever cut away from the end of the SB again. (NY was in that SB, too. oh-oh.) So my fear is hearing the dreaded "We now join our regularly scheduled program, already in progress." Arrgh! Not possible with all the promo for Frozen, right? Right? Tivo listings (via Zap2It) say 10:15pm EST, but if the game is a speedy rout by either team, will House air earlier? Or will they just pad the gap with innumerable interviews? I feel your pain - not only do I not like football, I already had a bad House experience this week, when I accidentally caught the last few minutes of American Idol before IAWL. Apologies to AI fans, but I detest that rubbish. (pun intended) ETA: Bless you, Poeia for the real time thread!

Warycary - the "Heidi Bowl" wasn't a SuperBowl, it was a just a regular game between the Jets and the Raiders. I was a little girl, not interested in watching Heidi, but just remember how pissed my father was - he was a football fanatic, (and I'm quite sure he had a bet on it!) to put it mildly. My Joe Namath crush was a few years away or I would have been pissed too, for a different reason! :) As far as when House will start. I think 10:00 Eastern would be when I would tape it if I wasn't going to be home, but I think it could start a little later than that. I know it's at Fox's discretion to cutoff the postgame stuff off and go to House whenever they want to, but if the kickoff is about 6:15 Eastern and the game runs about 3 1/2 hours, then add in an extra long half-time, and then all the post-game tropy presentation, interviews, celebration, etc., it could easily run past 10:00 EST. But I'm guessing Fox wanting as many viewers as possible to stay tuned for House will try not to let that happen. Those Sunday night games on NBC during the regular season almost always ran 3 1/2 hours or over without the half-time and post-game stuff that a SuperBowl entails.

Somehow I've gone through life never hearing of this golden moment in broadcast history. To be fair, I wasn't even a glint in my parent's eyes, but still... I may not stop laughing. I can't imagine a worse program to cut to for the football fanatic. Holy cow....I'm just....gasping for breath here.

I was little, but it was a really big deal for a long time and that memory has stayed with me! You've probably already Googled or Wiki'ed it, but in case you haven't there were like 65 seconds left and the Jets were ahead when NBC cut it off to go to Heidi, and the Raiders came back and scored 2 touchdowns in those 65 seconds!!!!

Taiga- 02-03-2008

Thanks, guys. I do remember hearing about the Heidi fiasco. I mean, Heidi! if the game is a speedy rout by either team, will House air earlier? Well, I heard that the one team (New England) hasn't lost a single game all season. Which blows my mind so much I just may tune into the end, because no matter which team wins it will be amazing.
