So when are the last couple of House eps supposed to air? Because I thought the next one was on Jan. 8th but apparently it's not until the 29th. Did they change it again or did I just get things wrong?

marykir- 12-12-2007

When Fox initially released their strike schedule, it said House would be back on Tuesdays at 9pm (following typical January preemptions) on January 22nd, with a mix of new and repeat episodes. Lately people have been saying the next new episode is January 29th. I don't know where they got that info from, maybe the PR photos for episode 10?

I don't know where they got that info from, maybe the PR photos for episode 10? I just checked. The promo photos for 410 don't have any info on the air date. The ones for 409 and some for 408 didn't either. They must have stopped including the air date because they weren't sure what would be going on with the strike.

TV Guide just published that House's "Christmas episode" would air on the 29th. Keep in mind that there are more incorrect listings than correct each week and that FOX probably isn't entirely clear what they'll be doing a month from now anyway, so I wouldn't say that date is etched in stone, but that's probably what people are basing their posts on.

The Jan 29 th date is from an official Fox Press release.

FYI, USA Network is showing No Reason & Meaning back-to-back tonight (Friday) starting at 10 pm EST.

So, can anyone explain to me why they're showing the only 3 episodes they have left on consecutive tuesday-sunday-tuesday? Some sort of special weekend? I would have thought they would make the most of what's left and spread it out more.

marykir- 01-18-2008

1. the Sunday episode follows the Super Bowl, which is the most watched TV program of the year in the US. Fox announced way back in April or May that House would get the slot, it would be weird to change it now - and what would they change it to? 2. The Tuesday episodes need to be squeezed in around American Idol. Even if there weren't a strike, AI has lots of 2hr and 90min episodes in Jan/Feb/Mar which limit the options for plugging House in at the normal time. 3. Viewers hate getting 1 episode every 3 or 4 weeks. (See any discussion of season 2 or 3 between December and March.)

Thanks marykir, I hadn't realised Superbowl was that weekend already. As to point 3, I could understand that if there was no strike. Seems like such a shame to have to end the season (let's hope that's not going to happen) so soon.

But what if you missed the 1 week in March or April with the last new episode? You'd be pretty pissed :) I'm always amazed by the number of "Waaah! I missed it!" posts on the Fox forum the first new episode after a break. There are a shocking number of people who don't seem to be familiar with the concept of TV listings. Or calendar reminders.

Or even remember the events of the previous television season when they whined about the same things...

I hear It's a Wonderful Lie is Jan 29 Frozen Feb 2nd or 3rd ----No Idea. Go to www.housemd-guide.com Gah! I could've sworn there was a thing...Like, some kind of thing that happens and there's hot wings and beer and guys in tight pants running around chasing a ball...Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't shake this feeling that House has something to do with that. DAMMIT! Anybody?

sautomne- 01-21-2008

I know the thing of which you speak. It is some sort of choreographed, homo-erotic activity that is televised. Men slap each other on their heavily padded asses. The name escapes me.

I can't shake this feeling that House has something to do with that. DAMMIT! Anybody? You've got me stumped. Fox didn't carry many baseball playoffs this year and, anyway, their season is over. You can't mean basketball or soccer (football to those of you outside the U.S.) because they don't wear tight pants. They use a puck instead of a ball in hockey. I have no idea what sport is connected to "Frozen."
