So, "By "Eyes", I Mean Breasts: The Translations Thread" it is?

Silja- 10-13-2007

Personally, I prefer 'You Speak Manderin? The Translations Thread'

sautomne- 10-13-2007

Isn't it spelled, "Mandarin"?

jonne- 10-14-2007

I think so, yes, and I vote for the Mandarin.

Hibernia- 10-14-2007

Hey, good idea, this!! I also like the "talk-about-cultural-stuff", I can imagine us all now, exchanging recipes! I voted for the breast-eyes-thing.

Taiga- 10-21-2007

I was wondering if we could have a thread where medical people could answer medical questions about the show. I know of two, Silja and RNwannabe, and there's probably more. Only if they would be willing, of course!! Or is the current Q&A thread all we need? Just thought I'd throw the idea out there. I read the Polite Dissent reviews but it would be neat to have an in-house thread (yes, that pun was on purpose).

Hail the Random- 10-21-2007

arizonamyrie too. (I think...)

arizonamyrie- 10-21-2007

Kidsnurse as well (I think I saw her here). They're all more qualified than I am but I'll be at their level soon enough. And it sounds like a good idea to me.

arizonamyrie- 10-21-2007

One thing though that would be extremely important if we do - we'll have to create a legal disclaimer stating that our opinions, though medically-based, do not constitute nor replace actual medical advice, diagnosis, and/or treatment. The more people involved, the more licenses that would legally be on the line, and I wouldn't want to see a legal problem due to a statement mentioned here.

Taiga- 10-21-2007

You'd make it clear too that you're answering questions about the show, not offering medical advice to posters

Silja- 10-22-2007

Sorry, I only saw this now. I'm not sure we need a dedicated thread or if the Q&A thread isn't already functioning quite well for the purpose. In any event, I'm fine with it as long as it's voluntary and not firm commitment - and we use the disclaimer arizonemyrie mentioned a.k.a. 'we're doing this as private persons, not as professionals, and please don't ask us about your uncle's gout'.

Hibernia- 11-03-2007

And now for something completely different: what's with the "fChat"-thingy?

radiosweetheart- 11-03-2007

I think we need more moneys for there to be a chat. I'm pushing for it-because sometimes at work I find myself having to concentrate on the dying people instead of the internet and that depresses me. So people should donate their candy moneys and the chat should totally get activated just for me. Because it's all about me!

bailey- 11-03-2007

I'm pushing for it-because sometimes at work I find myself having to concentrate on the dying people instead of the internet and that depresses me. Ummm....sorry, OT but....please tell me you work at a hospital or something. Because I'm trying to imagine some other work environment where people would constantly be dying and distracting you from the internet. Is fchat a one time investment or monthly fee?

Silja- 11-03-2007

Because I'm trying to imagine some other work environment where people would constantly be dying and distracting you from the internet. Undertaker? I'm a bit on the fence about chat. Wouldn't it merely create a second debate forum and spread the already sporadic posting even further?
