We have people from everywhere! (except Antarctica, I think)

We should start a "Translations" thread - if an international poster has a question, it can be placed there. Also, anything else cultural can go there as well.

Oooh, I like that idea.
Hail the Random- 10-13-2007
Can anyone think of a good quote to go with it?

Probably something from the ep with the newspaper guy who couldn't talk right. One of his lines.

Or on of the Cuban couple's lines.

If anyone can figure out how to spell what House said in Hindi in "Distractions" I'd go with that. :-)

How about what House said to the foreign doctor in The Right Stuff? I don't remember the exact quote, wasn't it something like 'you want to live here you have to learn the language' or something?

Or what the Chinese actress said in the S2 bloopers: "I Speak English!"

Or how about "You Speak Manderin? The Translations Thread"
hwshipper- 10-13-2007
Or...
House Whispering: The Translations Thread
Or:
By "eyes" I mean breasts: The Translations Thread
BTW what happened to renaming the Survivor 2 thread, HTR?

That one has my vote! :thumb up:

I honestly don't care what it's called, I love it already.
It would be nice if there would be a list, which opens in a new window, so that I can use it at the same time as reading the board. Switching is just so boring...
And we have heard some Dutch on the show BTW (see, I learn!). House called his grandmother Oma. I was so relieved that she turned out not to be the abuser.

I was pretty excited about that.
