In short, TWoP doesn't own the words we've made up just because we made them up there. We can use them wherever we like. Including here.

TrooperCam- 10-08-2007

So BOUO it is

saara_zaara- 10-08-2007

You should add "Cottages" too for us old timers! (BOUO isn't copyrighted by the other place, its fine to use).

2 more and I'll keep my thinking cap on. Camp, Campers, etc. = relates to Camp HoYay, a pet name for the HoYay thread at TWoP where the founders of HHoW came from. St. Doris = Doris Egan, a writer/executive producer of House. Campers consider her the Patron Saint of HoYay for her excellent H/W writing. I love the idea of a Lexicon of HHoW - it would save alot of time and honestly, make things easier on people new to the fandom. It's a bit intimidating to not know the lingo and this also cuts down on the endless "What does that mean?" questions.

HAH! This is a sweet idea. I know that the only reason I understood all of our acronyms when I came into the fandom is because I'm unusually good at solving acronyms (it's quite sad, really). Most people get so confused that having a big old dictionary of House fandom terms would probably be really helpful.

Thanks! Feel free to disagree but I also like the idea of including links for more info. For example Camp HoYay and Doris Egan. For St. Doris we could add that while she's on record as saying that she doesn't see House and Wilson's relationship becoming sexual, she finds Wilson fascinating and HoYayers like her depiction of him in her episodes.

Wikipedia has an excellent entry for common net-speak

  Thank you so much for this. For me as a non-American, non-native speaker, some things were so hard to figure out. Much as I enjoy trying it and it's very rewarding when I succeed, it can be very frustrating when I just can't seem to understand some of the posts.

Wikipedia has an excellent entry for common net-speak And this is a great help as well, finally found out what YMMV means and OTP.... (which for some strange reason kept appearing these last few days  ) Would somebody care to explain UST ( I get the sexual tension, what's the U for/) and BGW?

radiosweetheart- 10-12-2007

UST-Unresolved Sexual Tension BGW-Big Gay Wilson (a take off on the Big Gay Al character from South Park)

407- 10-12-2007

I'll start compiling the list and post it in with the Rules and FAQ etc. :D

Great, thanks!

I'll be willing to help out if you ever run into something you don't understand. Not that I understand half the things some people talk about, but hey, two know more than one and being Dutch and all, we have to stick together ;)

jonne- 10-13-2007

OK, thanks, twee weten mee dan een!

DIY Sheep- 10-13-2007

And we do have quite a few Dutch, German and Norwegian House fans here.
