I was wondering if it's possible to jump to a page in a topic. Just so I don't have to click 66 times to get to the famous page warycary mentions (or others). Yes, I'd find that feature really useful! A "Go To" box where you could type in a page number if you know it, or just trying to get to the middle of the "herd". Is that possible on this system?

I don't think it's possible, but I'll take a look anyway.

The site we all so desperately try to avoid has it, and it's great!

Fry Thread?
Any chance of creating a separate thread for Stephen Fry discussion? Maybe the thread could be about Hugh's chums or co-stars, if SF seemed too limited in scope? Anyway, just a suggestion, thanks.

peggy06, I totally agree, he gets mentioned so much around the board... Also, what about a thread where people can ask whether something is fanon or canon? It can come in useful and generally interesting...

arizonamyrie- 12-30-2007

Hi xarlster. I saw where the Fanon/Canon thing was mentioned and already brought it up with the other moderators. We'll need to discuss it a bit more first.

the_xarlster- 12-30-2007

Saw your post there literally two seconds ago, just put it here earlier to be all proper and stuff. Thank you for considering :) edit; just a canon thread. You can ask questions for reference (you know, what does House like in his burgers yadda yadda) and people will tell you the answer and where it came up in canon, and, obviously if it's fanon or not.

We have a Question and Answer thread in the Differential Diagnosis section: http://hhow.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3 or http://houseofwhining.com/viewtopic.php?t=3 depending on which URL you're logged in to. It's just for canon however, and people usually reference their info as well.

I know I have asked before (and hallucinated that I received a reply, but can't find it), but Stephen deserves his own thread. He is certainly as or in my opinion more important than the Weird Night Janitor (who is only a figment, a clever figment, but a figment of Sara's from that other place). he is talked about and referred to all the time in Hugh's thread and personally I think H ugh would appreciate our honoring his long friendship with Stephen by giving him his own place in Hugh's webworld. He is the godfather to all of Hugh's children after all....... Thanks for considering my plea.

I'm thinking we should have a politics thread in the House bound section. After all, this is likely to be the best of the reality TV programming until House gets back up and running. I think most peeps here can keep it respectful.

Poeia- 02-11-2008

We had discussed the possibility a few weeks ago and when you asked, we put it back on the table. The consensus is that politics is the subject most likely to get really ugly, really fast. We're going to stick to entertainment.

jonne- 02-11-2008

That's a shame, I would have really enjoyed it. It would have felt like being on the outside looking in, I imagine. I have to trust your judgement on this, politics can be a very sensitive subject.

warycary- 02-20-2008

I must be hallucinating, but I thought there was a character "biography" section somewhere. A compilation of facts that exist only in canon, or that could be reasonably extrapolated from canon information. You know, age, educational institutions, family background, etc. Should I cut back on the caffeine, or was there such a spot here on HHoW?
