Board Meeting Agenda: Items for the Dean of Medicine
Got an idea for a feature you'd like to see on the forum? Maybe something's missing from the FAQs? General (and not urgent) question about the boards? Post it here and the Dean or one of her assistants will get right back to you.

It might be kind of cool to have a thread devoted solely to other movies/tv shows. I know that theoretically the Hizzy should be a free for all for all other topics but sometimes "real life" stuff tends to overwhelm Hizzy-type threads when too many topics converge. Another pop culture forum might keep too much outside-House projects from dominating the House-focused threads and would reveal what other kinds of shows/movies/books House fans might be into. Mod Note: New TV show thread added.

Thanks, bailey, we'll see what we can do about that. We're considering a "Special Events" area with a thread for tomorrow's Emmys so everyone can chat about it during & after the show about the event & shows in general as a trial to see the level of interest in some things like that.

I brought that up when this forum was still in the making for the exact same reason lol, the consensus then was to wait until we're big enough. I'm so glad to see that there are more people interested in threads like that. I'm still very much in favor of a tv and movie thread.

Would you consider listing the seasons in reverse chronological order? That is, Season 4 first, then Season 3, Season 2, and Season 1. I think it would be easier for us because, although we visit past seasons, the current season is the one most go to. Just a thought. Thanks.

Hi there, I found an interesting page and have no idea which thread it should be posted in, then thought maybe there should be a thread about the production of House, the dp's, how it's set up and lit, rehearsed, put together, and such. Any interest in that? Or is it already here and I'm thick as a whale omelette? Anyway the link I'm puzzling over is here. It shows how the sets look, a call sheet, HL and Greg G rehearsing and such...

saara_zaara- 10-01-2007

Boffle, I believe we don't have a thread devoted to TPTB for the show, so that might also be the right place & allow discussion across eps. I'll raise it with the mods & see what we can do about the thread. houserocket, nice idea, I'm not sure how much forum re-ordering we can do. That's a technical issue for 407 & will refer it to her. Also, head up for all, we now have a new tv shows/movies/books/music thread in the RL subforum, all your non-House entertainment needs!

Just a suggestion... I noticed that a couple of people were confused by seeing their post totals go down after the Emmy thread went. In another forum that I help moderate, we have a section to move old, locked threads so that they're out of the way without being completely removed. I'm not sure if you'd be able to do that with this set-up, but I thought I'd mention it all the same.

saara_zaara- 10-07-2007

deeol, we can do that & have done so re locking threads in the past. With the Emmy thread there was a specific reason to delete it - we don't typically do so, but that was an unusual situation (& we did warn users we were going to delete it in two weeks when we opened it). We also have the ability to remove the post count from users displays (it remains in your profile). If we did this would it bother people? Or do you like seeing your post counts?

deeol- 10-07-2007

Well, as for me I think my current post total speaks volumes about my feelings there. Maybe I'd change my mind if I actually hit double digits?

arizonamyrie- 10-07-2007

I don't think we really need the post count listed on our mini-profile on each post. But I do like having the rank title listed, especially as a mod.

radiosweetheart- 10-07-2007

Personally, I think mods should have their titles in flashing bright pink (or a close approximation) under each post. But I think that's just because I have an ego so large that I recently had to rent a storage unit. But I am with deeol and AZ-the post count under each post is not something I'm fond of. It just encourages "My cat's breath smells like cat food" posts. That and it makes me feel maybe I should spend more time working and less posting. Teensy weensy bit of guilt. Very tiny-but it's there.

Hail the Random- 10-07-2007

Why bright pink, RSH?

galaxygirl- 10-07-2007

Why bright pink, RSH? Why not

Hail the Random- 10-07-2007

Why bright pink, RSH? Why not Because I don't like pink very much. :D
