A believer in Huddy, need I say why I choose this episode?

I'm having a hard time deciding. On the one hand, I think "Both Sides Now" was brilliantly written and executed in that they completely hid the truth about the hallucination, had to create scenes that could be seen multiple ways (in terms of writing, directing and acting), had a magnificent payout -- but at the same time, it's hard to separate that episode out from the last 3-4. They're so integrated, and interconnected, that they really don't play well with each other without the others.
But if it's standalone, I think I'd go for Locked In.

If the season had ended after 14 or 15 episodes, I'd have no trouble voting for an episode this season. It would be Birthmarks (once I recovered from having it completely spoiled for me.)
But now -- The Softer Side, The Social Contract, Locked In, Under My Skin, Both Sides Now...
I still haven't decided.

It's so hard to choose. On a pure emotional basis, I wanted to choose Both Sides Now, but Hugh's (and everyone else's) acting was so superb in Under My Skin that I just had to go with that one.

Hmm... I will have to come back and vote.
Birthmarks, Unfaithful, The Softer Side, Under My Skin and Both Sides Now are up there.
I can't decide yet, if ever.

Really, the last two are two sides of a coin in my mind and the episodes leading up to them, say since Unfaithful, were all brilliant and brillanter. They are all of a piece, amazing job by the writers and actors. So I voted for BSN because the reveal was so beautifully handled and even thinking about the last ten minutes makes me tear up (there I go!). One of the most powerful dramatic moments I have ever seen. :sob!:

On a purely emotional basis I would vote for 'Birthmarks', 'The Social Contract' or 'Both Sides Now', but I decided to choose based on quality. I may change my mind later but I voted for 'Emancipation'. The medicine was better than usual and I actually cared about one of the patients (mind you it was the Foreman sub-plot patient., but that counts). I liked seeing House be a mentor by pushing his duckling out of the nest and I liked the House-Wilson subplot.

Have to go with "The Social Contract." But, "Saviors" would be a close second for me.

The last third of the season is hard to separate--for me they almost need to be considered together as one uber-episode.
That said, I think I'll go with "A House Divided." It felt like that perfect turning point where House finally realizes just how much trouble he's in.

I was finally down to The Social Contract or Both Sides Now. I went with the later because I've seen it 5 or 6 times and it still makes me cry. The writing and the acting were spectacular on all sides.

If I could have voted for the best last quarter of an episode it would have been BSN. I swear, this is the first time I've cried over a TV show in, well, I can't remember when. I also loved Under My Skin, and finally decided that while it didn't have quite the impact of those last few minutes of the finale, I felt it had a slight edge in overall quality, so that's what I voted for. I hated to choose though. :?

If Hugh submits Under My Skin, I think he'll finally get his Emmy.
