I've decided to believe that they're just not getting married. Not that they've broken up. That has no effect on my life and I'm a bit surprised that I'm thinking about it at all-but it would be nice if they were just taking things slow. Very sensible.
Why should they rush into marriage? They have plenty of time and they have things to do right now.
Marriages end all of the time. Hollywood marriages end all the time and with tabloid interference. Better to make sure it's the right decision.

I would just like to state that after viewing the S3 DVD extras we now have conclusive proof that Jesse Spencer is not human. Rather, the fine actor who goes by "Jesse Spencer" is actually 2 dozen puppies, a kitten and a baby panda in a "people suit."

Well, the reality of marriage can be pretty intimidating. No surprise there. If that's the reason for the split then I wouldn't be at all surprised if they wind up back together.
I don't mean to seem confrontational--really I don't! (hearts saara!)--but this seems like a completely fabricated tabloid article. Nothing in there sounds like anything different than fan speculation, and the ridiculous statement of Jennifer running back to Chicago (while in the midst of filming House) is just beyond belief to me.
Add in all of the "friend's" accounts of them bickering in front of other people--no way is that the uber-discreet Jess and Jen of the past few years, people who wouldn't even admit to dating until they got engaged.
On the up side, at least there aren't any offensive speculations on what caused the breakup, but still...I think I'd credit this article with as much real reported fact as I would any article in the National Enquirer or Star tabloids.
ITA, aenissesthai. There's that certain air of plausibility that skilled tabloids come up with, but I would take that article with a yooge grain of salt.
(The best part? The months-old picture clearly meant to signal how miserable they are.)
