YES!!!! I know it's hard for a new show to get ratings and stick around, but I'm really glad he's got a new LEADING role!

According to this article, creator Dick Wolf is known for bringing a cities "local flair" to his shows. Also, it mentions that the pilot is scheduled to film in Chicago between March 14 - April 1. Derek Haas (@popcornhaas), one of the shows writers, mentioned on Twitter that some of the cast has already begun fire training this week with the Chicago Fire Department. I had Tweeted to him that I was excited about Jesse joining the show and he responded: @BooBooKitty12 @Jesse_Spencer Thanks so much. We're thrilled! He's going to be amazing. He had this very nice comment to another fan's tweet: @Rebecca_TV He's going to be fantastic in this role. Warm, complex, multi-faceted. He brings an extraordinary level of pathos and humor.

Very nice comments from him. Jesse has lived in the U.S. for 8 years now. I'm sure he can do a good accent by now. Chicago, of course, is different than LA. I hope he nails it.
