I root for Chase/Cameron because it's quite possibly the only realistic pairing on the show. By realistic, of course, I mean "could conceivably happen AND is not gay." FOX denies us our precioussss H/W, yes it does... I don't see them married with cute little babies with fabulous genes, but I can see them in some sort of stable relationship. Aren't they in Arizona together anyway? We'll see if the Ducklings even get enough screen time for relationships to develop now that they're out of PPTH.

I've been gradually coming around to Chase/Cameron... can't say I'm quite there yet, but on rewatch, Cameron's treatment of him last spring doesn't seem quite as evil as it did to me on first viewing. And they are very pretty together, and I would like to see Chase happy with someone. I can almost see it being a stable partnership, at least for a year or two if not as TwuWuvForever. But every time I get ready to make that leap, something reminds of the nasty things Cameron has said to him over the years, and I draw back again. Plus, I'm not sure they could have a relationship without House as the elephant in the room. I think Chase's little House-hat in the doorway kiss scene is TPTB's acknowledgment of this, and that any attraction to Chase Cameron has needs to be viewed together with the parallels between Chase and House. Overall, I think they both have Issues, with House, with each other, and with themselves, that would need to be dealt with before they could live happily ever after -- or even for a year or two. But I wouldn't in the least mind watching them try, especially if it gives us more Chase screen time and especially more insight into his head. I'll only object to Chase/Cameron on the show if the writers try to gloss over those issues and try to make it all sappy and smooth immediately.

I could see them having a shot simply because they already know the worst each has to offer. They also both have probably had to face their naive views of House. If Cameron can grow up and really get over House, I don't see why she couldn't truly fall for Chase. I'm not quite sure I'll ever understand what he sees in her, but I'm willing to find out. He seems to love people despite the fact that they treat him badly. House isn't the only one with damage.

When Wilson said that Chase and Cameron were engaged, am I the only one who thought "What? Chase is dying? Since when?"

When Wilson said that Chase and Cameron were engaged, am I the only one who thought "What? Chase is dying? Since when?" I just thought "No way!". It's too soon and I really don't see any of them being that 'rapid'. I'm not a Cameron fan and don't really care about the ship. But since she is with him, Cameron is more bearable for me. Everything involving Chase is great for me so... I would prefer them to last than have to much drama around their couple. Beside, them being together is an oportunity to have some glimpse of their personnal life, their familly,...

I also thought that it was way too soon and I don't think that engagement is for real. I think it's more likely that Wilson made it up to get a reaction out of House.

"What? Chase is dying? Since when?" I wonder if House will make that joke when he meets Chase face-to-face eventually? I do think Wilson was playing mind games with House on a whole lot of things about Cameron & Chase & that was just one of them.

I also thought that it was way too soon and I don't think that engagement is for real. I think it's more likely that Wilson made it up to get a reaction out of House. I'm recycling what I said over on the Wilson/Cam thread. Laziness FTW: >>'Cause I kind of like of Ch&C being engaged. Chase has had a crush on her since early S1, clearly the sex is a bit of alright, plus Cameron has been married before (did you know? it got mentioned a couple of times) and I see Chase as the kind of guy who had such a rough family life that he'd be happy to start one of his own to try and make a better go at it. It'd be a way quick engagement, and doomed like a doomed thing, but to me it'd fit the characters. And Cameron might go for it because it'd be further proof to herself that she's over House, and that she's a Noble Person who embraces humanity and commitment. And though I realize more and more how much I love for everyone on this show to make stupid decisions and be unhappy, I do think Chase and Cameron could work out nicely. My theory is that winning Cameron's heart was part of Chase's growing a spine and gave him such much needed confidence. And Cameron gets laid, and well. More power to her. And I can adopt even more faux righteous indignation if she flirts with House. But yeah, Wilson is a lying liar who lies so it's still a tossup.

Half-Wit--Remember the scene where Cameron announced that she was happy she and House hadn't slept together? And most of us rolled our eyes and wanted to knock her up 'side the head because it's always ALL about HER? Do you think there's any possibility that she said that in front of House to make sure that Chase knew that she really had not slept with House? IF House didn't dispute it, Chase would know it was the truth.

This is an interesting thought that had never occurred to me (I was too busy eye-rolling!), but I think you might be onto something here. :)

I've lost all faith in Chaserson, now. I gave up after AYA. And turned my attention to one of my other ships: Chase/Foreman (ah, the hoyayness)

SpreadTheWord- 10-19-2007

I must admit, despite the fact that my dislike of Cameron is big enough to take over small, European countries, I do find myself aw-ing over her and Chase. It's the only time I really, honestly like her. And not just because she's undressing him. A lot. Though that is a plus. They're just really sweet together. "What? Chase is dying? Since when?" *snortgiggle* You're not alone. Though I may be Satan, so that's not saying much. :D

So, maybe we'll find out the reason Chase and Cameron weren't around this episode is that the two of them actually eloped, explaining why Chase who is now a fantabulous surgeon wasn't in the OR to find the key.

Follow Through- 11-26-2007

Haha if the writers start taking the Grey's Anatomy route with random Vegas weddings, we'll know the show's in serious trouble. And Chase definitely should have been the one pulling the key out of the magician. That random surgeon stole Chase's 45 seconds in the limelight. edited by GG to remove extra tag

Well, at least we know that Cameron and Chase are together... and the word love was used. And we know Chase doesn't tell her everything and doesn't want to know everything which is interesting.
