Nope, just rewatched. The line must have been cut. Boy that 13 is just telling everyone what to do, apparently.
Annoying isn't it.
Wait, so now we're supposed to be mad at a character for something she didn't say?
I hate spoilers for this reason. People get preconceived notions over things they think are going to be there, then get pissed when they don't occur.
Sorry wasn't clear enough there. It wasn't the missing scene I found annoying. It was Thirteen's need to tell everyone what to do.

But it sounds like you're citing your annoyance on a scene that doesn't even exist -- and may, in fact, have never existed.
As I said upthread, one of the things I liked about Thirteen in this episode is that she represented the child's point of view of an open marriage/affair. House could have expressed that opinion as well, but it would require him telling someone other than Wilson about John & Blythe, and that simply isn't going to happen -- especially not to Taub.
As viewers, we know that background, and I believe it informs some of what his take on the patient's situation, as well as Taub's, but he's not going to verbalize it. He's not going to say to Taub -- oh, hey, my Mom had an affair which produced me, and I forgave her for it -- which then further sets up Taub's line of thinking leading to his ultimate decision at the end.

Ok, I can buy that. I guess to me it felt like Thirteen was pretty much in the middle of almost everything in this episode and I would have preferred it to be House. But I do see your point.

Someone wrote on Barbara Barnett's site that during this season (paraphrasing) House is running in the background like virus protection. That suits how I feel to a T.
And when BB admits she is disappointed in an episode, frankly, that's epic.
Pre-season six House would have seen Sam and Wilson playing poker, and gone over to his organ and played something annoying, and then stomped off to his room. Oh, wait, that was before the writers put the "Kick Me" sign on his back and handed most of his attitude to Thirteen and Chase.

As has been discussed to the dead horse status over on the media thread, critic's opinions are not equal to my opinions or fandom majority opinions or fandom minority opinions or anything but their own damn opinion.
Would I say that this episode IN MY OPINION SOLELY is one of the best ever? No. Would I say it's one of the worst ever? No. Would I say it gave me new insight and things to think about? Yes.
Overall I'd agree with one of the commenters over on the AV Club who stated that as long as House continues to give me solid "B" grade episodes with lots of B+ and some solid "A" level episodes every season, I'm more than satisfied. I don't expect every episode to be an A. I don't know of any series that has ever -- especially in the sixth season -- managed to maintain my admiration and attention for this long. (And, for what it's worth, I don't think any of the other seasons have had the mystical level of "all As" either. Each season has it bright spots and its low spots and a whole lot of solid performers that weren't necessarily OMG DID YOU SEE THAT? but yet still good episodes.)

That's a hilarious description. It isn't quite the metaphor I'd go for in explaining my reaction to the show these days, but it's still hysterical.

It definitely felt like that. I wouldn't be surprised if someone tallied it up and we found out Taub was in the episode more than House. It sure FELT that way.

Maybe if I could follow Taub's convoluted logic for wanting an open marriage then I'd give a rip about the story line. Taub lost me when he essentially blamed House for the whole thing because House put him in the same room as the patient. It's House fault that Taub's curiousity about cheater lady's lifestyle got the better of him. Taub just had to ask her about it and that's House's fault? It's House's fault that Taub wants to cheat? It's House's fault that Taub broached the subject with his wife? The clincher for me is that Taub feels compelled to share all of the gory details with his co-workers! He's a jerk and a coward. He needs to own his decisions not blame his boss for them.
I'm still on the fence about Sam. I'm not feeling a lot of heat between RSL and CW. RSL looks distinctly unfomfortable in the kissing scenes. At least to me he does. On a shallow note, Sam needs to comb her hair more than once a day.

That is such a bummer situation. Rachel does have to face the moral problem that Taub has, and they both probably need some kind of third party to help them decide what they want to do with their relationship. I think that this might be their next step. Even Taub is realizing that how he is handling his marriage is just not the way to go- a couple of Taub quotes:
"Functional open marriages are unicorns, they are mythical creatures that don't exist"
"Chances are, the couple was unhappy in the first place, and this was an attempt the save something that never.......go on."

You misunderstand me. Barbara is very, very rarely disappointed in an episode. It's not her status as a critic, it's her status as a very learned House fan.

After "Help me", am I the only one recalling House 's quote "Lucas' dying or oral sex.... let be it. Namaste", and thinking Lucas did not die?

Not so fast... in the finale scene that will launch a thousand ship wars, Cuddy said, and I quote, "I ended it." She did not say *how* she ended it. If some of us fantasize about her killing him in some (horrible yet elegant, cleverly untraceable) manner, well ...
Not that your interpretation doesn't have its appeal, too, of course. YMMV.
*walks away with faraway wistful expression, muttering something about an exploding expresso machine* ('')

I didn't think she could have killed him.
Damn*d, my theory, ruined.
