Taub's a neat character when he just gets to be snarky in the background, but focus on him and his marriage woes is the cure for insomnia. I think I'd actually rather watch focus on Foreman. I know the feeling. This one goes right to the bottom of my list for this season. For me the whole episode was pretty meh. Not really an episode of House. More like an episode of Doctors' Housewives. I did like picky/OCD Wilson. Wow, he can be quite a pain, but how in the world can he live with House but fuss that much at Sam? Maybe he just has a need to fuss, and while House gives him lots to fuss about, he has to find smaller things to nitpick about with Sam. I was another viewer who was thinking, "Is this Greys Anatomy??" And yes, I am really sick of 13 being the relationship expert. I enjoyed the Taub arc, I'm with who posted above that they were relieved he finally went ahead and cheated. I also agree, the way they write women...if my husband asked my permission to see another woman, he would not live to cheat another day. I have a real problem with the way Rachel is written. RSL and CW don't have any chemistry. The only time they sparked was during the fight, but the love/hanging out scenes don't work for me. (And yes, that timeline thing is maddening. ) At the end, when they were playing poker and Wilson said, "All in," the look on House's face was so sad. I loved his passive-aggressive moving the milk. However, the circa-season 4 House would have shoved his way into the game. YMMV. He also would have been the person to announce the treatment when the illness was discovered, not Thirteen. The best part, for me was also OCD!Wilson, and the return of the whiteboard. And at this point, Chase can do no wrong. And other people are finally starting to feel some Foreman love. Unlike House, I don't feel quite so alone.

The Huddy scene was fine..I wish the writers wrote scenes like that for Season 5 too.

I seem to be pretty alone in not really being angry at Taub. This fault of his is one of the first things we learned about him on the show. It seemed inevitable to me from the start, that he would go back to it cheating eventually. 13 is giving an explanation for his 'addiction' to cheating. I forgive House a lot of things because he's got an addictive nature. I seem to forgive Taub as well. (Which is not to say that I would forgive him, if I were Rachel, or that she should let him continue or shouldn't dump him.) Maybe I think that way, because I know what it's like to have no control over certain actions (no, I'm not a serial cheater). Taub seemed to battle with his demons at the end and looked like he hated, but still couldn't stop himself. I felt for him, too, not just his wife. I didn't find it weak how Rachel reacted. I found it, in a strange way, strong. Admitting that you love someone enough, that you are willing to give him so much room, does require strength. As does then admitting that you are not strong enough to go through with it. Does this make sense? Probably not. Didn't mind 13 at all either. I'm starting to feel a bit alone now  We know House is a closet romantic. Why shouldn't a character on the show call him out on it? The explanation kinda made sense to me. I actually like her (as opposed when she was hogging all screen time with purely-about-her story lines). The ep seemed to flow a bit more slowly than usual, but I didn't mind. All scenes in the Wilson/House kitchen were great. I love how well House knows him. Great that Wilson finally got to vent his misgivings about the little things. Good for him. So sad for House this week. How ironic that he's getting isolated more and more, now that he's reaching out more to people. Would have loved to see his room(s) in the apartment at the end. "Pain, pain went away. Came back another day." House sitting in the hallway, rubbing his leg.... <lips quiver> Oh, House. And as a side note.... didn't like the close up of Colbert's picture. Wish that had stayed more in the background. They are hitting us over the head with it now.

Loved: Chase's perplexed reaction to Taub House messing with Wilson House making coffee Hated: More Unforgiveable Timeline Mistakes House in pain Wilson pushing House away At least Doris Eagan is copping to the mistakes on Twitter. She did joke that maybe Sam can't believe she's that much older. (Believe me, Sam, you are, no matter how much plastic surgery and workouts you do.) I prefer House in pain, otherwise, he doesn't really seem like House. My reaction to Taub isn't anger (it would be if I was his wife, but I wouldn't marry someone like that in the first place), it's more relief, because that was the first thing we learned about him in Season 4. I'd rather watch Foreman and Marcus than Taub and Rachel, but Marcus was a guest star and Rachel is a semi-regular.

Mmh, House on his knees in Cuddy's office, how could Cuddy say that she has a bad feeling about this?? ;) I can't help thinking: Wouldn't it be funny, if Lucas died in some random accident involving that espresso machine? Calling Thirteen the House Whisperer gives me this mental picture of her whispering soothing words into House's ears and reining him in saying things like "whoa, easy there..." ;) What I don't understand is, why does believing in a score make House a monogamous romantic? He's always believed in a score when it comes to human behaviour, that has nothing to do with love or relationships, so I couldn't quite follow Thirteen's thought process there, and I still don't get it. Anyone care to enlighten me? RSL and CW don't have any chemistry I kept replacing Sam with House in my mind, I can't help it, I'm hurting for some real H/W action ;). All scenes in the Wilson/House kitchen were great. I love how well House knows him. I did like picky/OCD Wilson. Wow, he can be quite a pain, but how in the world can he live with House but fuss that much at Sam? Obviously, during the past months, House has learned all the small things that annoy Wilson (some of them he probably already knew). Now I'm asking myself, does House know all of that because: Wilson did outright tell him whenever something bugged him (because, as we've learned, they don't have a social contract and that gives Wilson the freedom to be blunt and confrontational with House)? Or did House notice them on his own, because he's such an observant person and despite oll of his other faults and shortcomings at least he's not oblivious to even the slightest mood swings in his friend, that are caused by uh, milk...? ;)

I happened to check out the fox episode recaps as I wanted to see if the timeline 'thingie' between Wilson and Sam is addressed or not and saw this somewhere midway in the recap: "Thirteen mentions to Cuddy that she thinks Cuddy can do better than Lucas. Cuddy says she is happy and that it is her private business." I don't remember this scene from y'days epi - did I just completely miss it or was this exchange shown?

That must be the 13 and Cuddy scene that got deleted. That makes me feel a little better because I don't want to hear Cuddy say she is happy even if that means even less screentime for LE. This was my least favorite episode this season. To be honest, I was bored. I can't believe I could possibly say that about a House episode. I also decided that Sara Hess is my least favorite writer. I love Taub but am really not interested in his side story nor do I care to get that much advice from 13. Could we possibly reduce some of her scenes and get a few more from Cuddy? RSL is a very good actor but unlike AD, I don't think he has any chemistry with CW. Funny I feel the same way about LE and MW. Perhaps Wilson and Cuddy are meant to only be in love with House and noone else. There are only 3 episodes left. I am ready for them to kick it into gear. Sorry to be a downer.

That scene definitely wasn't in there, which yes, some of the spoiled people had noticed. Seems like it would have been unnecessary with everything else going on...and Thirteen would have seemed REALLY unusually nosy. I don't think it's odd for them to cut scenes for time or artistic reasons, though - the promo pics released after Lockdown showed an actual goodbye for Chase and Cameron that didn't air.

Boffle- 04-27-2010

Nope, just rewatched. The line must have been cut. Boy that 13 is just telling everyone what to do, apparently.

A couple of you mentioned that some of the spoiled people noticed that there was an expected Cuddy-Thirteen scene missing from the episode as it aired. Did that just happen to be one of the scenes that came out in a spoiler, or is someone spoiling most of the episodes these days? I don't care either way, since I don't want to be spoiled that much for the last few episodes - I'm just curious.

Anonyme- 04-28-2010

I could almost copy and paste Sdemar's post... some more random thoughts : I am not bored, but not enthusiastic either. I take what I like and go along with the rest of the stuff. Basically, I love House. And Wilson. And Cuddy (OK, Chase too...). I just .... tolerate the rest of them. I could not care less about Taub's life. His lines and the actor are hilarious, but I just don't care. And (no offense to the actress or the housewives her) his wife is boring. Period. I don't mind Thirteen as I did before, she acts better, maybe, but she doesn't have to do all the thinking in the team. Does Foreman not think anymore? Wilson... I love that we get to see his flaws, at least. His obsessiveness goes well with the blow drying of his hair, and the trimming of the whiskers, and the toe-nail painting... At least this is character consistency. I love that he is not the perfect man he shows outside, and we get to see him the way House does. No wonders his marriages do no last, this side is almost as annoying as the cheating. And I love the Houseian way of courtship, as Wilson said before : trying to woo Cuddy through coffee machines and inappropriate talk, and on his knees! (even the wince while standing up was perfect). I like that he openly, even if jokingly, admits that he is interested. And I like that glimpse of fun in Cuddy's eye, whenever he is around and did not misbehave. She doesn't seem to have so much fun, those days ; seems to me he is the only entertainment she usually gets, and she misses this.

Jane Doe- 04-28-2010

I don't remember where that came from, but there are still leaks and even pictures from the penultimate episode. Oh, I had noticed that this scene was missing, although I didn't know what they would say. I ranted about it and a friend asked me if LE has gotten into a fight with one of the producers. I hope she has gotten into many fights, because they really screwed her over this year. I'll go to the bitterness thread.

Namaste- 04-28-2010

Nope, just rewatched. The line must have been cut. Boy that 13 is just telling everyone what to do, apparently. Annoying isn't it. Wait, so now we're supposed to be mad at a character for something she didn't say? I hate spoilers for this reason. People get preconceived notions over things they think are going to be there, then get pissed when they don't occur.
