Some initial thoughts: I think Toadette is a great name for a girl child. LOL! I squealed and thought of you, sauty, when DS said he had been a classics professor. Stoned Taub & Foreman were hilarious. Hey, RSH, did your head explode when Chameron danced to Elvis Costello? We have a timeline for Wilson's marriages now! First wife was 1990 and 1991. The 13/Taub ending made me laugh out loud.

The bad: Not enough House and they moved from 6 acts to 9 or 10. The good: It was really good. Because it was so episodic, the commercial breaks weren't as intrusive as they usually are. I was glad it wasn't a crazy who stole the baby. That would have been too formulaic. (The actress who played the mother reminded me of Frankie, the blogger.) The two people we learned almost nothing about were Cuddy and House. (I loved that he padded his personnel file with bad stuff.) Foreman was funny. Nice change. I think the most interesting thing we learned about any of the staff was that Thirteen is a better liar than I ever imagined. We still no nothing about her (and she accused Taub of being secretive!) David Strathairn is a wonderful actor. ETA: I forgot to mention Chase/Cameron. It was good to get some closure on that. I wonder if Chase would have even asked her if she ever loved him if it hadn't been for the speed dating and his questioning his view of himself as a result. I like that Cameron finally realizes that she's a mess.

Taub, you magnificent bastard, as if any woman with the sense given a pile of twigs would need a dare to show you her boobs. I'd say stay away from Elvis Costello songs when dealing with Cameron, but since Alison is about a thoughtless woman who uses people and never particularly cared about the narrator, I say: "Ha ha!" James & Remy were cute.

That was certainly... interesting. I don't know if I'll put this down as "the best episode ever," but it did a lot for character and plot development. I liked how each room seem to have a different color associated with it. Definitely a strong American directorial debut for Hugh. I thought that was a worthy closure for Cameron's relationship with Chase. It addressed a lot of the issues that fans have raised not just since she abruptly walked out on Chase but also over the course of the show. The truth or dare thing was interesting, I guess. I think it was a good way to get Thirteen to break Wilson out of his shell. I'm excited to see how Wilson calling Sam turns out. The Vicodin plot of Foreman and Taub seemed a bit forced at first and only for giggles (and I definitely giggled), but it's certainly not surprising to me that the only way to get Foreman to actually talk about himself is through getting him stoned. I, too, wish that House had taken Nash's case; he would have made for a great PotW. Overall, the number of commercials killed any real emotional pull of this episode. I may have to watch it again commercial-free.

I haven't watched the show in a while because I'm really bored with it but I did want to see this one because it sounded different and interesting. For the most part, I enjoyed it. Taub and Foreman were hilarious when they were stoned. That scene where they hit each other remined me of a scene in Thirteen (the movie, not the character). I enjoyed the C/C stuff. Honestly, they were the reason I most wanted to watch it. I think it's a little unfair pinning most of the blame on Cameron. Last season, I would have totally agreed but he did kill someone. That's no small thing and I wouldn't blame anyone for walking away after something like that. Still, they reminded me why the two of them have grown on me and became one of my favorite pairings of all time. Dancing to Alison was great. I liked the 13/Wilson stuff. It was light and I enjoy 13 when she's having fun. I also loved the way she showed Taub her breasts at the end. I kind of zoned out the House stuff after the "I think you're the one who wants to be numbed out" or whatever he said. Honestly, that bit is soooo old now, it's almost a joke. *ducks* Cuddy...I kind of zoned out on that too.

The music was so different this episode, I thought it was great, do you think HL was the one who picked it? I loved the episode, first one this season that I truly enjoyed on almost all levels (finally!). I think that's mainly because there was so much dialogue and character interaction, which is what I enjoy the most. And I think there was a really good balance between comedic/superficial and revealing/in depth themes.

Chipmunk_love- 04-12-2010

Also, I thought the cut to Cuddy's face when the mother was talking about her fears about being able to love her adopted child as much as her biological child was interesting. Not that I'm particularly interested in the show going down such a path for Cuddy in the near future (nor do I have any spoiler knowledge about such a thing), but I wonder if that remark will prove to be significant.

I thought it had a good balance of moods and a good balance of the characters. It does annoy me that 13 always must have the upper hand. Here she's lying to Wilson while playing truth or dare so she can keep her omg!mysterious! persona. I'll have to watch the Chase and Cameron stuff again. I do like that there wasn't even a hint of Ham as being one of the factors that ended their marriage. I like that they addressed some of the questions that have been floating around for years. And I thought it was even interesting to know that both of her parents are alive. I think JS and JM both did a good job in their scenes. And it's appropriate that it ended with sex since it all began with sex.

Poeia- 04-12-2010

I kind of zoned out the House stuff after the "I think you're the one who wants to be numbed out" or whatever he said. Honestly, that bit is soooo old now, it's almost a joke. *ducks* The thing that was different was that they didn't pursue that. House talked a bit about how meeting Lydia made him realize that he's been lying to himself when he convinced himself that he prefers to be alone but most of their story was Nash's. For a show that likes to push the reset button as often as House does, they did a great job of reaching back and bringing in things that happened before. Cameron's PDH. I liked how, when Chase started to talk about him, she told him not to go there. She did the same thing with Tritter. The difference is that Chase went right ahead and talked about him. Lydia. The meth sex. Cameron trying to keep Chase from proposing. Wilson buying the apartment for House. Foreman's inferiority complex. Thirteen's Huntington's (which, thank goodness, hasn't been mentioned this year at all, but this was a good way to do it.) Thirteen's bisexuality. In a way, it was a good transition episode.

LightMyCandle- 04-12-2010

The difference is that Chase went right ahead and talked about him. I honestly thought she was going to smack him there. She kept warning him to stop and he kept right on going. I was waiting for it.

extra_cat- 04-12-2010

I'm glad Chase did keep talking about the PDH. It needed to be addressed. It's true that he could never live up to that model, no matter what happened in their marriage. It really was sad that he was so willing to accept the idea that she never really loved him. I'm glad she went on to say it wasn't true.

Namaste- 04-12-2010

I love when Foreman loosens up, whether when he was pulling the pay prank (turning it back on the other who were attempting to prank him) or especially this one with "I always talk too much when I'm stoned" was great. Even better was the exasperated: "Again!?" And I do love Taub. "I'm going to have to take a knee." Hee. One of my favorite songs turned up on this -- "Birds & Ships," sung by Natalie Merchant, from the Billy Bragg & Wilco album "Mermaid Avenue," featuring lyrics by Woody Guthrie. ETA: Also intriguing to get more on House's pain issues -- whether physical or emotional.

radiosweetheart- 04-12-2010

Maybe she's just growing on me, but I thought 13 was pretty cute. It didn't seem to me that she was being mysterious, so much as she was playing with Wilson because it was both fun and easy. Wilson was just awful at truth or dare, how could she possibly take him seriously? The Chase/Cameron scenes would've set much better with me if Chase had cowboy'd up left Cameron naked on the floor of the exam room after the lockdown ended. That would've been a great ending to that story. Leave her with the feeling that he used her at least a little bit as much as she used him.

LightMyCandle- 04-12-2010

I'm glad Chase did keep talking about the PDH. It needed to be addressed. Oh, I didn't mind that he wouldn't stop talking about it. I just thought that he was about to push her too far.
