6.15 - Private Lives HOUSE’S LATEST PATIENT’S LIFE IS AN OPEN BOOK ON AN ALL-NEW “HOUSE” MONDAY, MARCH 8, ON FOX
Laura Prepon (“That ‘70s Show”) Guest-Stars
House and the team take on the case of an avid blogger (guest star Prepon) admitted with sudden bruising and bleeding. From her hospital bed, the patient blogs about her symptoms, doctors and prospective diagnoses to her dedicated band of followers and solicits their advice on a course of treatment. Such openness leads the team to contemplate the value of privacy, especially after House and Wilson uncover secrets from one another’s past. Meanwhile, Chase is coaxed into testing out the dating scene in the all-new “Private Lives” episode of HOUSE airing Monday, March 8 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (HOU-615) (TV-14 D, L, S)

Some serious hilarity tonight:
"I had to pull out your old family photos"
"Be not afraid. It's exact change."
"G-d, you're pretty"
"You'd better not not be faking this to get out of a difficult situation."
House's bio dad is a minister - fascinating.

Chase for the win. He once again showed his mind works more like House's does than any of the others' do. He made more connections in this one case than the other team members usually do in a season.
And he idiot act at the speed dating -- wishing he could play video games professionally -- was a riot.
And there was even almost enough House in the episode for a change.
ETA: And Wilson not even noticing the huge "Be not afraid" thing in the lobby when he and House left. I guess when you're friends with House you have to learn to ignore embarrassment.

Speed-dating with Wilson = dating on speeeeeeeeeeeeeeed.
I was really impressed with this episode. I loved all the little story lines. God bless, RSL. Little worried that they might be starting to push 13/Chase, but I'll just sit back and let the show take me for the ride. If I don't like it, I know where to get off (get off... heh).
I'd have more thoughts, but Jesse's taking questions right now.

But he's a Unitarian minister! That's like having a certificate in Dude-ology from the Church of Lebowski!
Good ep. I enjoyed seeing Donna from That 70s Show and loved Chase being a dopey loser.
And Wilson, Wilson, Wilson...Wilson...

This episode was a little "meh" for me. Perhaps my expectations were too high. That happens after a hiatus.
I'm glad House's leg pain is worsening, but House and Wilson are starting to remind me of Lucy and Ethel. Chase was great, but if he starts a romance with Thirteen...gack.
Since I live on the Internet, however, the basic message hit very close to home. Fortunately, my blog has nothing to do with my real life, or my husband would strangle me as I slept.
I enjoyed the first part, with the porno and the speed dating. And that Chase can be as evil as House when he wants to be.
And yes, that is fascinating that House's bio dad is a minister. Can he be played by Sean Connery, please, please, please?

I was rolling on the floor in laughter over Wilson in the porno, and House posting pictures of it everywhere
Interesting about House's bio dad. He crossed my mind when House was nervous that Chase mentioned his name to the author.
It is sad that he was trying to find a connection to see that he wasn't alone out there, and apparently didn't find anything.
Chase at Speed Dating was hilarious as well.

I don't think they're looking to start Thirase ship (Charteen? Chasteen?) But I think we could be getting a Chase/Thirteen friendship which would be fine with me.

Love seeing Wilson and Chase collaborating on a House attack. (We need more scenes of the two of them together.)
Thought it was going to end on a low key note -- "Underneath the God stuff, more God stuff" -- only to have Cuddy come up to set up the final belly laugh of a visual joke.
I've got to say I like the patient's boyfriend a lot more than the patient. (Privacy does have its reasons to exist, seriously.) And how thin, exactly, were those walls? They weren't shouting -- and neither were Taub and Thirteen -- yet there comes the neighbor to complain.

I guess they can't start the ship if it doesn't have a catchy portmanteau. :) I am happy with a "Uniting of the Pretty" for friendship purposes only, though.

That was one of my favorite episodes. I'll definitely watch it again. I loved interaction with House, Wilson, and Chase. It was great to see Chase making so many smart connections in the episode. It's sort of felt like they forgot he was good at this stuff most of this season. Chase speed dating was a riot. So was the conversation the three of them had before the speed dating started.
But I think we could be getting a Chase/Thirteen friendship which would be fine with me.
Chase makes 13 more bearable. Of course having 13 in low doses helps too.
radiosweetheart- 03-08-2010
Thirteen and Chase would be a fun friendship. I'm pro that platonic pairing. They have a real cute spark of fun about them. And they're all kinds of lovely.
But 13 needs to give me her hat. That hat would look way better on my head.

There are so few women on the show, having one sleep with each man on the teen in turn is just... distasteful. And in Thirteen's case, having her go from promiscuous to Foreman to Chase. Ewww.
Thirteen really doesn't bother me any more. I had enormous problems with her arc, when she got more screen time than HL. Partly because HL should have more screen time than anyone in the known universe but mostly because she simply isn't a good enough actress to carry it off. But I think she's actually pretty good at the little facial things in reaction to what someone else say. If she's 1/4 of House's team, it's fine with me.
Of course, I live in dread of their remembering that before she went blind last year Foreman's tests showed that she was already symptomatic for HD.

At first I was afraid they were heading towards a Chase/Thirteen pairing, but I think they made it very clear that it wasn't going that way when she said that she wouldn't loan him her car. I think it will be a good fun platonic friendship.

Poor Wilson. He introduces himself as an oncologist at the speed dating session and all he gets are "my (insert relative/pet here) died of cancer." Dude, next time try the Chase "I'm a professional video gamer wannabe" approach.
House's bio-dad is a Unitarian minister? Interesting. That's the one religion I could see House embracing, as it is a very open faith that even welcomes atheists. It is about community and finding your own way to your personal perception of the Divine more than doctrine.
Chase ruled this ep.
