Looks like Hugh for once wasn't available for a shot when only his arm was visible. When he's stroking DeathKitty on his desk that arm is incredibly hairy and incredibly not HL.
I noticed that too and was like huh? That's so not his arm. The hair was really dark too.
But why would HL insist of shooting that foot-tapping scene from season 4's finale (where a "fake" HL would have been much less obvious?) and let someone else stroke the cat? Weird...
Well maybe the didn't decide they needed shots from that angle till it was too late. Or maybe HL's shots got destroyed in a freak accident :)

Hm okay, I could live with that...
I really loved this episode. And that must have been the most hilarious opening scene ever... It reminded me of that little domino game House played with his CD's back in season 2 but it was way better. I've been laughing about it the whole day
One of the few things we know about Kutner is that he was a bully, and he bullies House here. I pretty much agreed with 13's reaction.
Thank God, I thought I was the only one who felt that way here.

Shooting with animals usually takes way more time. It's possible that they were so far in over-time that even Hugh agreed to get some sleep.
Or as reckless suggested above, they didn't realize soon enough that they needed that close up.
Either way, if he knows about the shot of someone else's arm in there, I bet he's beating himself up over it.

Me too! :-)
I wouldn't call what Kutner did to House 'bullying'. He stands up to House, doesn't always put up with House's crap, and in this case he got back at House. But I don't think he' was intentionally trying to intimidate or belittle House. (Even if he was, I doubt it'd faze House anyway).
I'm sorry but, as much as I love House, I'd say what he was doing with setting up all the superstitions to bother Kutner and spewing "blood" all over him was much more "bullying" than anything Kutner did.
I think he cares about his fellows and he wants them to be good doctors but the way he goes frequently counts as bullying. He's the one with the power.
If it were Kitty's, I could laugh. I don't think he intended "bullying", but I had an impression that Kutner was capable to do something extreme and evil if he wants to do. (and innocently.:D)
Thank you kittylugnut and Cutie Honey for telling me about the House's "pusspuss". I thought there's some superstition about the cats that I'm not familiar with.
LOL, I just noticed that the forum's auto-censor changed a word in my previous post... so just to clear that up, I meant "puss" with a "y" at the end and not "hoo-hoo". Sorry about that.
can anyone explain to me what the diagnosis was? Appendix cancer? is that right? Thank God I dont have my appendix, one less thing to worry about...
I wonder if there's anything significant about coma guy's name being Mr. LIMPERt?
dk, yes, that's right. An explanation is here
http://politedissent.com/archives/2245 - if you scroll down the comments there's also a critique of the appendix cancer diagnosis & how it should have been caught earlier.
I looked up "jump the shark" to find it's meaning as used in this episode. It seems to apply in situations that have a built-in expiration date, like a television series. Otherwise, life seems blessedly more complex than that.
