So was I the only one completely weirded out by Kutner tasting the fake blood that House spewed all over him?
And I don't know, but if I sat in pee, I think I would have noticed it long before House did.
I loved the episode, just saying...
Okay when I saw the cranberry scene, my immediate reaction was House spit in Kutner's face. It was clear House was not vomiting even though he tried to make it look that way. I don't think ever did anything quite that bad to the original team with the exception of punching Chase in the face. I was also appalled by him asking Taub to clean out the kitty's shitbox.
And the pee? Yeah I would ave noticed it sooner because I would've seen the difference in coloration. But House is such a self-absorbed individual, he believes the only time the universe changes is when he makes it so.
Of course I'm with 13 on this. Who would take their Little Wilson and let loose on anything at their place of work?
Also, because Wilson seemed to know what was going on with the POTW I assume the team complained to him. House is abusing his team, and the team takes it to House's best friend instead of his boss. At the end, it looked like House recognized he had gone too far.

I'm not sure why any of them should ever be surprised by anything he says or does... especially the new team. The very first thing he said to them at the beginning of the Survivor arc was that they should be prepared for him to cross the boundaries of law and good taste. And since then, he's done any number of outrageous things. Digging up a dead body? Cuddy's thong, anyone? As for the old team: How about shooting a corpse? Eating lunch using a coma patient as a table? Chase as whipping boy after the Vogler arc.
They've all been around this man for quite some time, and they knew what they were getting into. The man's famous and infamous. If you're going to go to work for House, you'd better be relatively shock-proof. I'm more shocked by the fact that Wilson and Cuddy insist on being surprised by his behavior after all these years.

I didn't think anything House did in this ep was out of the realms of regular House-ish behaviour. Though the cranberry-juice prank was so lame... I'm surprised they all fell for it.
Would Kutner really flop it out and pee straight onto House's chair in full view of the hallway though? I thought he might have peed into a cup somewhere private then poured it onto the chair.

What a fun episode.
Loved the scene with Cuddy and House watching the tape. And the scene with House and Wilson in the elevator was hilarious.
Kutner was adorable. He's quickly rocketing himself up the list of my favorite characters. Peeing on House's chair was the cherry on top the the cake.
The only thing that broke the episode up was Taub's plot. In such an upbeat episode, I thought Taub's negativity and money-woes dragged it down.
Taub's an odd one... In some episodes I'll love him to pieces, in others I won't give a damn about him. In this case, it was the latter -_-
I definitely agree on the "calm before the storm" vibe. I definitely feels like something big is going to happen in the next few eps.

House was sitting on the edge of the chair at first, but the second he sat back further he shot up like he had sat on a firecracker, so I thought it was pretty clear when he hit the wet spot.
I assumed Wilson knew about the PoTW because House had talked to him about her. In fact, we saw House doing so.
At the end, I thought House realized when he saw Taub's face as he passed him in the hall, that Taub was going through something harsher than he had realized before, not just getting sick of House's games, but approaching real danger. I think House's face showed that realization and his concern for Taub: he was considering whether or not he could help.
House's ways are harsh but he has his reasons. He was trying to get Kutner to give up his superstitions because it's a flaw in his makeup as a doctor. He was trying to get Taub to find some courage in himself to do what he really wants to do. So he pushed them in shocking ways. Kutner responded in kind, childishly and Taub failed as a man, I think, in his own eyes, because he both ran away from the challenge of dealing with House and right away was tricked yet again. I think it's very hard for him to roll with House's punches and he takes it personally. One of the few things we know about Kutner is that he was a bully, and he bullies House here. I pretty much agreed with 13's reaction.
Enjoyed Kutner calling House a mad scientist in a shoutout to the upcoming Dr. Cockroach role, I think. :-)
Also, the reference to the old exploitation movie "Pussycat, kill, kill" was pretty clever.
And House coming into the scene singing a song from Oklahoma ("I'm a girl who can't say no") was funny, but weird. I don't remember him being a pushover there, but maybe I need to rewatch.
Oh and the song at the end was great (name that tune, anyone?) but we've had lots of clues that Taub may be in not great shape. Oh dear.

I enjoyed the episode. Opening an umbrella inside the house, spilling the salt, going under the ladders, etc. I have heard of all these superstitions, but I wasn't expecting to watch them in an American medical drama.:D I had read an article that said the superstitions were the ancient way to reconcile with the unpredictable lives, just as the religions. It seemed that towards the end, the story shifted from the superstitions to the meaning of life and the religion, but I suppose it's a natural course of reasonings.
I loved House did the autopsy of the coma patient, and I loved House rushed to Wilson to talk, before stopping the operation! :D
I loved that beautiful cat! Some cats love to to into the narrow and confined places. In fact, my friend's cat hid himself in her bag while she was desperately searching for him before leaving home. (...maybe he wanted to come with her!) The cat in the episode may have also enjoyed hiding in Kutner's sac and in the drawer.:D
I didn't know Taub was so naive and stupid to believe that guy that he didn't even remember...but I'm enjoying his story, as his scenes with House, and with Kutner are funny.
The beginning and the ending were just fun!

I loved the song, too! I found in Internet that it's Steve Winwood's "I'm Not Drowning" from Nine Lives. (amazon.com link is here)
By the way, I couldn't understand why Forman stopped House calling "puss, puss, puss...", saying if you calll her one more time, it gets to you, or something like that... Can someone help me?

Question......what was House getting the little toy cars out of his backpack all about??

Unless I'm missing something too, I don't think there was much to it other than the double meaning of "pussy" (cat/female anatomy) and House being obnoxious by calling it out loudly in public.
I LOVED that kitty! But of course I would, since I'm a cat fanatic to absolutely ridiculous proportions. I have two of them now and much experience with cats in general, and I didn't see anything that caused me any concern with regards to the treatment of the feline guest star. She seemed pretty annoyed a few times, but nothing more. The growling and irritated sounds were definitely added later. Also, I didn't see any shots that looked like a fake cat, and I was watching very closely. She was a very good little kitty actor, and absolutely adorable! Oh, how I hope we'll see some cat bloopers on the DVD!!

I don't think it meant anything in particular. I got the impression Foreman was just annoyed that House thought finding the cat was more important than treating the patient.

By Nine Lives, well that's ironic :P  Thanks Zumi!
I'm begging, hoping, praying for some Kitty bloopers! Well, actually, I'm just pleading for bloopers in general. I know Sara Hess said she was putting together the collaboration, but ya never know.

I loved House's jaunty mood. The time on methadone must have lowered his tolerance for vicodin. Now his pain medication is more effective? House was practically salivating over Cuddy while they watched the video in her office. And his complete relaxation on the couch next to Cuddy was a sweet and friendly change from more business-like postures. House continues to confide his wishes to Cuddy: take me as I am, I want you to get a kick out of my admiration for your beauty, talk to me in a pleasing voice...and she does.

And I don't know, but if I sat in pee, I think I would have noticed it long before House did.
If the chair were just damp, not soaking, it would take a few seconds before his jeans got wet enough for it to reach his skin.

I think it was just referring back to the opening with his crazy race track he put together in the clinic.

I work in a blood bank, and blood has a VERY distinctive smell. Kutner would have known immediately whether or not it was real blood on him vs juice. I think sampling it was his way of minimizing the prank and calling House out on it at the same time.
