Well I wouldn't go that far, I'm personally fond of 13 and her character.
Actually, now that they've done the Huntington's reveal, I'm hoping to see a more in-depth exploration of 13, and hope to see another side to her other than the guarded one she's been portraying this season.

We still didn't get an explanation as to why House was so drunk at 5:30 or whatever time it was.
Probably something to do with the self-loathing he mentioned in the white bus scene.

Okay...I have a confession. I missed the first minute or so of the episode. There was a freaky foul at the end of the first quarter of the Spurs/Hornets game, and my mom refused to change the channel until it got sorted out. I got the most important part - Wilson stating that he was her husband - but I missed the beginning. I'm sure I'll see it tomorrow, but can I get a quick summary? I love you ahead of time.
Go SA!
The Doctor at PG states her symptoms I believe erratic heart beat being the most troubling. Wilson asked why he wasn't called, she has been unconcsious since arrival and had no ID.
The doctor says the symptoms are not from the bus but from something else. They can't get her into surgery (exploritory I guess) becasue they have 3 emergency cases in front of her. House says PPTH is 15 minutes away. ThePG Doc says Hose can't have her becasue he is not her Doctor and doesn't have the authority to tranfer her. House says her husband does. Wilson think s for a moment and says move her.

The scene with House and Amber "on the bus" after she died was amazing.
I thought it was super lame. House talking about himself using blindingly obvious soap opera level lines? "I don't want to lose my best friend..." Since when is that House? I mean, it was sweet, but sweet was not what I wanted. Overall I was disappointed, although the acting was good from everyone. And I could care less about 13 and her problems - she took up way more time than necessary from the real drama. She has no personality and I have no interest vested in her. She does the same monotone way of speaking all the time with no facial expressions. And it's not much of a cliffhanger considering House and Wilson obviously won't spend the rest of the series hating each other.

HL & AD did have a foxy chemistry going on.
AD was stunning in this episode. When Amber said that she didn't want anger to be the last emotion she felt and then stared into Wilson's eyes as she died... Oh crap. Now I'm blatting again.
I remained completely dry eyed until that moment. Then I just lost it. And I rarely ever cry over television shows.
Do they award Emmy's for guest starring roles? I think that Anne Dudek should get one based on her perfromance tonight.

Why the hell did you have to bring up Bobby Simone from NYPD Blue???
Hee, . He was my favorite character and his death scene is one of the most moving things I've ever seen. Diane (was never a big fan of hers but she was great during his death arc) telling him to look at the ring just as he died kills me everytime.

Anne has been outstanding from the moment she came onto the screen. Why oh why couldn't they have killed off 13 and kept Amber instead?!
I would like to think that the reason it went this way is because CB is the House proxy and 13 is Cameron #2. If this story line had played out the same way but with 13 in CB's place, then Wilson would have to end up with Cameron at the end of the series instead of House.....
... then again, I may be incredibly biased.
Also, I still hope that Anne will show up in flashbacks or something in S5.

I never cared for 13 but it broke my heart when her Huntington's diagnosis came up positive.
Not me. I cheered at the thought that they might kill her off eventually.
Was that scene they cut supposed to be the "big operation that could change the series" that was spoiled awhile back? Please tell me they didn't cut that in favor of Thirteen in the bathroom?
Random thoughts:
The Wilson/Amber bits were very well done.
I suppose the big questions are supposed to be will House be brain damaged (he won't be) and will House and Wilson's friendship survive (it will). No suspense there.

I think overall, when House realizes that his game goes to far he can/will dial it back. He's always testing that limit - even back when House was "borrowing" money in larger and larger sums from Wilson, and taking longer and longer to repay. Testing. I had thought last week that maybe that was the case with Amber/House meeting in the bar - it was a test of Wilson and/or how far Amber and/or House would go in their "ownership" of him, but I was wrong. I still however think that House is capable of controlling his own game and his manipulations.

I might start crying if that happens. :(

Sigh. I must buck the trend of absolute adoration for this ep. I thought it was the weaker of the 2 parts and didn't find it as sob-inducing (now Babies & Bathwater, that gets me sobbing) as some. I'm not entirely sure why. There was a good deal to love in it (and I did like it on some level), but there was much I disliked, too.
Love:
1. The scene between Amber & House on the bus. And Amber telling House "You can't always get what you want." Fabulous.
2. The fact that TPTB really have thrown a wrench in the House/Wilson relationship and I can't wait to see what's going to happen. And House's misery over that.
3. Loved the fact that it was Cameron who went to comfort Wilson in the waiting room while he's essentially waiting for Amber to die. First perfect use of experience gained with Poor Dead Husband.
4. That note on the pillow. Now that got me in the gut.
5. The original ducklings sliding into their usual booth at the end. Awesome. But once again reminding me how much I miss them and how much I don't really care about the newbies. 13's diagnosis only made me think "yes, this is a way we can dump the darn character."
6. Foreman tattling to Cuddy. Because it reminded me of the good old days...and that Foreman doesn't change much at all.
No love:
1. That diagnosis of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever was moronic. I mean utterly moronic. Forget that the symptoms don't even match (the rash was in the wrong place, the wrong kind of rash, and the symptoms manifested incorrectly), I think Jersey's had all of one case (and then in woodlands, not walking a dog) in the last 10 years.
2. The scene with the newbies going to see Amber did nothing for me at all and didn't strike me as very believable. I preferred Chase putting his hand on Wilson's shoulder before he left.
3. I think everyone here knows how I feel about Chase, but could they seriously pick a specialty for him and stick with it. This week he turned into neurosurgeon, cardiac specialist, and intensivist. Seriously irksome.
4. 13 continues to grate. Immensely.

The song that was playing at the end just killed me.
Anyone know what that was?

Oh god, I'm a wreck.
I have to say that was incredible, and THAT was the show I love. There were no incredible explanations, no wild twists about why they were on the bus. The series has always been about how the smallest decisions can have tragic consequences.
House wasn't at fault for why she was on the bus, yet he was. As fantastic as the show can sometimes be, as out there as it can go, this episode brought it back down to there. There was "no reason" for Amber dying. There was no grand conspiracy. It was just a tragic series of circumstances, those little decisions we all make in our daily lives, that led to it.
House did the right thing by not driving drunk, by calling Wilson. But if Wilson hadn't been at work...if Amber hadn't delayed a minute to pay...if House had just waited for her instead of impatiently boarding the bus....if he hadn't forgotten his cane, so she went after him....if she hadn't gotten the flu and been taking those meds and the accident had happened a week earlier...It's all those tiny little decisions people make and don't think anything of, but look back on and beat themselves up over.
That's what made the episode beautiful and tragic and so powerful. We can't point to House and Amber having an affair, or some clear "cause." It just happened.

An emotional wallop of an ep. Again keeping in mind that this should have come in Feb, wow, no lack of peeks into House, angst, emotions, etc. this season. What a plan they had. I felt for everyone. To me, this was indeed the one about hope, as last week was the one about the line between illusion and reality--this season's themes were carried through to the end. And picking up on YDWTK, where 13 said that she needed not to know in order to hope, and that House asked questions to keep his hope for more of something alive, this ep had Amber, Wilson, 13 and House lose hope by getting answers. House's stance on everything he usually sounds so sure about--answers over hope, reality over illusion--have been shaken. And all over what is at essence a random act, and not House's fault. Incredible end to an incredible season.
I loved everyone in this ep. Cuddy holding House's hand, and sleeping next to him while Wilson can't bear to speak to House sets up next season. And the three ducks coming to together for support was lovely. Taub's hug for his wife, 13's facing of her destiny, Kutner's ability to accept death because he's had to before . . . the stories are spinning. Oh, if we'd had 8 more eps to work with this stuff.
And I don't believe House and Wilson won't get past this, because damn it, House is not to blame for accidents. He didn't drive drunk, with Amber on the back of his bike. He wasn't having an affair with her. He didn't manipulate her to get her to come him, even. And he risked his life for Wilson and Amber. I may not have a lot of patience for Wilson next year if he decides House killed Amber.

You know, I actually liked that too. I was kind of hoping for some dialogue there.

Gotta agree. I like the new team but I didn't want them saying goodbye to Amber. I was hoping that Foreman would tell them to just leave Wilson and Amber to themselves. Both Chase and Foreman putting their hands on Wilson's shoulder was nice. It's let's all be nice to Wilson night. :D
