HL & AD did have a foxy chemistry going on. AD was stunning in this episode. When Amber said that she didn't want anger to be the last emotion she felt and then stared into Wilson's eyes as she died... Oh crap. Now I'm blatting again.

...she seems to get HL to relax into a truly sexy moment -- first with Cameron in "Half-Wit," and now with Anne Dudek here. (I love HL, and the character is a wonderfully sexy character, but HL always seems a bit ... tight, if you will, in kissing scenes, except for those two.) Agreed! I thought that was a very nicely played scene, HL seemed incredibly....into it there. Even in half-wit it seemed more like a forced action, but this was fantastic.

Okay...I have a confession. I missed the first minute or so of the episode. There was a freaky foul at the end of the first quarter of the Spurs/Hornets game, and my mom refused to change the channel until it got sorted out. I got the most important part - Wilson stating that he was her husband - but I missed the beginning. I'm sure I'll see it tomorrow, but can I get a quick summary? I love you ahead of time.

Okay, so before he lost his memory, did House know that there wasn't going to be anything they could do for her? I mean, when he was trying to remember last week, he knew someone was going to die if he couldn't find them and treat them. And, even after he remembered it was Amber, he still tried to diagnose her. But, he saw her take the pills on the bus and, of course, saw the crash. So, he must have known from the start that nothing could be done. Maybe that's why he lost his memory for that time? Needed to convince himself that he just needed to figure it out so they could treat it? First, House probably wouldn't have known about the kidney damage in the immediate aftermath of the crash. Also, if he had found her sooner, then the poison may not have done all the damage to her heart yet, so she might still have been saved.

Nothing much happened actually. You see House talking with the doctor from Princeton General (I'm assuming), but their voices are kind of faded since the attention is mostly on Wilson reacting to seeing Amber. He says the "Oh my God" line shown in the promo. Then House says, "Princeton Plainsboro is not that far from here" (or something similar), but the doctor refuses to move her since she isn't exactly in a stable condition. House tells him that her husband can have that happen and Wilson says okay.

Anne has been outstanding from the moment she came onto the screen. Why oh why couldn't they have killed off 13 and kept Amber instead?! That's what annoys me about being told over and over again to "give 13 a chance." She's been on for 15 episodes and she STILL SUCKS. CTB made an impact immediately. She'll be missed. Did anyone else half expect House to wake up and the some unknown length of time to have been "all a dream"?

Chipmunk, from what I remember it was Wilson standing next to Amber while House interrogated her attending about her case with a bunch of technical jargon as Wilson held her hand. The first "real" action happened with what you saw.

In addition to the love for RSL and HL (and Anne Dudek's) acting in this, can I put in a word for Katie Jacobs' directing? She doesn't have the chops for something as complex and technical as "House's Head," but I do think she has an ability to work with actors and get a lot of emotional depth out of them. I didn't even notice that she directed, she did do a fantastic job. I thought the HAM kiss was shot a little odd, but I guess they were going for intimate and sexy, but the H/A stuff was hot. I am relieved beyond belief that they didn't have an affair (I didn't think they would) but still...that was hot. As I expected, RSL knocked it out of the park tonight. Anytime RSL cries, he has me right there with him feeling for him (Much Ado About Nothing being the exception) and this was the same. HL was phenomenal as usual, the scene on white bus with Amber at the end and the scene where Wilson asks him to do the surgery stand out immediately. And AD blew me away too. There have only been two death scenes that I think are truly great, Bobby from Third Watch (I didn't even like his character but I cry everytime I watch the ep.) and Bobby from NYPD Blue, but now, I must add a third. That was just...heartbreakingly perfect.

Oh... and would Chase poking around in House's brain make him cry? Or were those genuine tears over Amber/Wilson?

I've sort of been hoping for a reveal that all of seasons 3 and 4 were a dream or hallucination.

I was just starting to love Amber. Oh wells. The song that was playing at the end just killed me.

Mil gracias, az and vicky. Glad to know I didn't miss something crucial.

plumboo- 05-19-2008

Well I wouldn't go that far, I'm personally fond of 13 and her character.

iamdaffodils- 05-19-2008

We still didn't get an explanation as to why House was so drunk at 5:30 or whatever time it was.

NightOwl- 05-19-2008

Why the hell did you have to bring up Bobby Simone from NYPD Blue??? Gawd, now I have even more to cry about tonight... (Just teasing, LMC.)
