Can someone transcribe for me Taub's speech? My roommate's stupid friends were talking and laughing right over it (in Chinese, I might add), so no matter how much I turned up the TV, they didn't get the message to take it down a notch, and I missed it.

Does anyone else find it interesting that yet again this season the subject of the afterlife crops up in this epi? House opens the door to the young guy preaching "Happiness can be found not only in this life, but the next"?
Is this a little foreshadowing? Or playing off of themes in 97 seconds?

Ask and you shall receive Chipper.
Taub: It's always the same conversation: "You must be mistaken." Which is why I always run the tests twice and then they blame the other guy, which makes sense if they're innocent, but obviously half of them aren't. They don't seem to get that they're busted. Scientifically proven.
13: Unless their spouse cheated too.
Taub: Exactly, that's what you're praying for in that moment, that she cheated too. And then if she doesn't kill you, you know that she did, you know that she betrayed you and then you realize that that . . . sucks worse.
<13 looks over at Taub, awkward moment, Taub clears throat a little and looks at the newspaper he's reading>
Hard to interpret for sure how much of that applies to the Taubs (STD testing?), but PJ's delivery rocks nonetheless.
travlncarrie, intersting take on the missionary. Can you tell what he's saying as House is closing the door, before "Have a good evening!" (ha!)? Something like, "It's where your ?? (life? leg?) showed ?? before ?? (many?)"

Nope, can't hear what he's saying...It's where your light shows? No idea...I'm not good to ask though, I have some hearing loss! LOL
Regarding the idiomatic use of "screwing," to me "screwing" means having sex with while "screwing with" means messing with someone's head. So House screws hookers but he screws with his team and with Amber.
(And boy did that come out sounding nasty.)
Just rewatched...he doesn't say "screwing with". He ends the thought with "screwing..."
I just find it interesting. I think no words are wasted in a script. I also think the writers know we analyze everything which makes me think there's more to that statement than meets the eye.

Thanks so much, Sans Serif! And I agree about PJ's delivery, because just in general he and KP have blown me away this season. No matter if the way their character is written isn't necessarily up to par, they've done outstanding jobs. I guess OW has done well as well, but I the reason I love Taub and Kutner has a lot to do with PJ and KP. It's sort of like the reason I love House has a lot (everything) to do with HL.

And that's the possible clue to whether or not Cameron slept with House. IMO she doesn't crucify Chase - she tries to avoid the issue with the "none of their/your business" (as opposed to "how could you even think something like that about me" & going ballistic - YMMV re her reactions). Presto - one Chase epiphany of what sucks worse. Interesting that its Chase & Kutner who have the epiphanies in this ep, I find them the most alike in many ways.
"Happiness can be found not only in this life, but the next"?
I missed the end of that sentence & the afterlife ref, but thought it was interesting that the guy was telling House happiness is potentially there. I'm not sure how much House has ever believed that, nor about the afterlife for that matter.
Is this a little foreshadowing? Or playing off of themes in 97 seconds?
May well be ;D Whether House is/can be happy is always an issue though.

But that's only because House interrupted him. I'm 99% certain if House had let him finish, it would have been, "You're gonna keep screwing with your new team?" or "You're gonna keep screwing with Amber?"
Really, there is no reason for Wilson to admonish House to stop sleeping with anyone, as House says he does not have syphilis. So that just wouldn't fit.

But he did tell Cuddy that he needed more than a ten minute interview with the candidates because what if he didn't like having sex with them. So maybe he was actually acknowledging that he has sex with his team and everyone knows it. Why else would he say it?
every opinion can find validation but it doesn't make any particular one true or false, imho.

Perhaps the song is referring to the fact that House and Amber's love -- in whatever form you choose to define that word -- for Wilson forces them to keep hanging on -- or hanging out -- with each other, though they'd love to be set free from each other.
I like that interpretation, Namaste.
I did want Cuddy to point out that Wilson chose to violate the contract by hanging out with House during Amber's time. He may be a wuss, but is he really not responsible for his own decisions? I'm going to assume that "Amber's time" means the bowling ran into after work hours, because work hours are Cuddy's time!
There was a theme of infidelity running through this ep. Accusations that the PotW cheated on his wife or vice versa, Chase accusing Cameron of sleeping with House, Taub's speech, and Wilson betraying House to Amber.

And Amber betraying Wilson by ratting out House's syph scheme.

You made me laugh aloud here. You've given something to the Hamerons!

I think of all of the possibilites this is the best one. Excellent!

I think the Amber time was when Wilson came home drunk because Amber's "time" was no longer of any use to her since neither was Wilson.

And Amber betraying both Wilson & House to the Team.

If that includes the men than I'm with you on this hr7. Gets me House closer to where I want to see him go.

Somehow I don't regard Amber's tattling as a betrayal. That was Amber being Amber. It's like the turtle and the scorpion story, it was to be expected of her.
Another interpretation of the "Keep Me Hanging On" song is that Wilson is keeping House and Amber hanging onto him, toying with them.

I'm not sure Chase was having that epiphany, though, unless, like Taub, he's been cheating himself (or possibly, wasn't *that* devoted during his "polite reminder" phase). That was part of the point Taub made - the "cheated too" bit, that they're only off the hook if their spouse did something just as awful as what they did. The betrayal sucks more than the guilt they felt in the first place.

As with House & leaving fake samples of blood lying around to be tested by minions Another interpretation of the "Keep Me Hanging On" song is that Wilson is keeping House and Amber hanging onto him, toying with them.
That's the one I like (see comments upthread).

But if you give Amber a pass on that basis, then you have to do the same for Wilson telling her. Because that apparently is who he is where his girlfriend/wives are concerned as House indicated. Plus I still think that was Wilson testing her to see if being true to him was more important to her then getting back at House. Fail!
It's interesting how many people see Wilson's as king manipulator through out this and yet think telling Amber House's secret was just about him letting House down.
Then of course House gets a lifetime pass for everything he has every said, done, thought in his life.
He is the Scorpion of all scorpions, being one myself I know.
Oh and it's the frog and the scorpion. A turtles's shell would naturally protect it from a scorpian's sting.
Another interpretation of the "Keep Me Hanging On" song is that Wilson is keeping House and Amber hanging onto him, toying with them. Just like the show will be doing to us at the summer break cliffhanger. Cruel Master!
I don't go with that because House and Amber are willingly hanging onto Wilson, in some ways that are hurtful to him, neither wants to be set free. I don't think Wilson is toying with them but that he really needs to see which one of them can be the better person under the circumstances. Plus I also believe he loves House (no shipping), he's proven that repeatedly, and that he cares for Amber.
