The HWA triangle didn't work for me. I'm missing the point, I think.
Dr Chase bowling!!! Yowza. I love long-haired Chase. :P
Overall, the episode felt "flat" to me. The POW just didn't interest me and "the House has syphilis" was so obviously not true. The only moment that I wondered if anyone had it was when he was getting ready to tell Wilson - I thought maybe it was Wilson's blood that had been tested.
And what was the significance of that back and forth between Chase and Cameron about sleeping with House? Another bone to the fandom, methinks. In any case, it seemed silly.
Next week looks more interesting.

So much fun. It's like the writers were having such a good time writing again after the strike they just kept jamming more and more and more into it. The case itself was kind of *meh* but then I'm not in it for the cases anyway.
After all the speculation, it was good to see that it was House who came up with the shared custody concept. Along with Wilson's "I don't know what to do when he's being rational." along with the explanation that exchanging Amber's lubricant for superglue would have been more House's style.
And Wilson's admission to Cuddy as to why he wouldn't take sides: "They both scare me." Hee Hee.
I'm disappointed he told Amber about the fake syphillis, but it did lead to the epiphany (albeit with Kutner.) And yeah, the epiphany should have been House's, but the fellows have had breakthrough epiphanies of their own for years, so that doesn't bug me.

I still hate CTB.
I do not believe Wilson told her. I think she has him bugged or is following him all over the hospital.
Bedawyn- 04-28-2008
But did he really rat out House? Not cool baby, not cool at all. Bros over hos and all that.
Everyone seems to forget that when House said that and raised his hand, Wilson ignored him and turned away. :-(

Is Amber working at the hospital now?
Yeah, what's with that? And heck, is Wilson working at the hospital?
Chipmunk_love- 04-28-2008
I loved how giddy House was when he told Wilson what he'd done to the team and Wilson's just as giddy reaction.
That was when I knew all was right in the world once again.
And word to those who are saying that the POTW was boring. But, admittedly, I was a bit more fake!concerned for House's syphilis rather than his.
sautomne- 04-28-2008
That and the massive amounts of casual!Wilson and drunk!Wilson.
I pretty much fell in love with RSL all over again whilst watching this episode -especially during the bar scene.
And count me in as someone who knew that House was screwing with everyone.

3. New rule...every episode should include at least one House/Chase bowling scene from now on. It was eternally FTW.
Amen. When Cameron was in the first scene, I figured there probably wouldn't be any Chase, so that was a happy surprise. And C/C actually had like 3 scenes each. The H/W/A stuff was pure gold. Agree that the POTW was a snooze. And I've liked Kutner from the beginning, but 13 and Taub need to go away.

What could be more fun than House getting Wilson drunk?? When can I see more of that??

No kidding, I want Wilson's job, I also want Wilson, but that goes without saying ;)

I have to go to work, but here are a few impressions... I don't know if I even drew a breath during the bowling scene! GUH. Can we get more of Chase in jeans, please? I'll take a refill on that, big time.
Re: the performance reviews, you know the writers got that from fanfic!
This ep seals my theory that Kutner is the new Chase. "That should have been my epiphany." OMG that was so meta. LOL There was a ton of meta in this ep.
The "Did you sleep with House?" thing did not ring true for me. It seems like the writers are just going for a cheap way to make tension for Chameron.

Maybe even together!!

That was super fun!
Unfortunately (for me), that episode managed to scoop me on a fic I'm writing. Seriously, I had the prompt "House suddenly becomes nice..." so I went with him pretending to have syphilis. Time to re-write...
At first, I was totally fooled: I thought maybe somehow House had been serious during HalfWit, but no... Liked the old and new fellows interactions. I love Kutner, and I thought even Taub was pretty adorable. Chase and Cameron were cute.
Overall, very fun!

I'm really ready for this show to include a little substance again. Nevertheless, I really liked this episode.
Random thoughts:
I liked Chase and Cameron. It sounds like Cameron might be a bit clingy if Chase doesn't want to see her every day. (And, Chase, weren't you listening in Half-Wit. She said she was glad that she never slept with House. You've been dating her since then except around Act Your Age.)
I did have a problem with their being told that House was sick. They aren't his doctors and patient confidentiality does matter.
House's leg seems to be doing fairly well -- bowling and also the way he got up to answer the door for the religious guy.
I guess the job Amber got after being cut from House's team is at PPTH. If she's not an employee, Cuddy wouldn't have risked hospital liability by having her help House at the end.
Of the three new fellows, Kutner is the one developing into someone interesting.
Re the syphilis -- between being shot and having an induced coma and rehab, etc. I assume House has had his blood checked fairly often. And, considering his sexual relations with women who have multiple partners, I'd also assume he gets himself tested regularly. So, if he did have syphilis, it would be a recent infection. Does it affect the brain that quickly? And does penicillin work that quickly? (Actually, I assumed that they had somehow managed to test some blood from Half-Wit and that House didn't know he wasn't sick.)

Great return
Best point for me:
House knew Wilson would tell Amber. Amber is the one who betrayed Wilson and House knew that too, he showed Wilson just how CT CTB really is.
Random Highlights
13 31 either way fine for you hee
Wilson feels the same way about both of them "All the love in the world." "They both scare me."
Amber likes to boast on their sex life to House and yet Wilson mentions her needing Lube? Amber doth protest too much.
The drinks have subtext, Wilson already looking for an excuse to skip having sex with Amber.
Did Amber come to Wilson’s work to argue with Wilson about being Drunk!? Calls Wilson a wuss, doesn’t think so much of him anymore does she. Why does it feel more and more like she is just literally and figuratively Fucking with Wilson.
House knows The L word excites Wilson, hee. That must have been a fun marathon night.
Both teams together very NICE!
Second time Cam had Chase worried about giving him an STD.
POTW/Wife - H&W
I was sad when House couldn’t talk to Wilson.
Nice though when they enjoyed the prank on the team together and then House basically told him that nothing has changed between them and Wilson is okay with it.
Secret Syphilis, fake syphilis, like fake cancer, so House.
Kudos to Chipmunk_love, All Hail, in the Spoiler thread called Cuddy being appointed referee. Interesting that Wilson who knew how little she thought of Amber choose her.
