4.13 No More Mr. Nice Guy NOTE! Spoilers for 4.13-No More Mr. Nice Guy!
House suspects an emergency room patient has a bigger problem than the E.R. initially diagnosed based on the fact that the patient is too nice. A skeptical House questions the patient's sunny disposition as the team tries to get to the bottom of his illness, but disagrees with House that niceness is a symptom. Meanwhile, House and Amber are at odds about how much time they each get to spend with Wilson, and Cuddy demands House give his team performance reviews.

Squee! Squeee! Squeee!
I'm not usually the sort for inarticulate ep-in-progress exuberance, but I was so expecting this ep to be a letdown after all the hype, and especially after the interviews saying Chase's screentime wasn't going to improve. But the bowling scene more than made up for the interviews! I have much much happiness for the notion of House using Chase as a surrogate Wilson and Chase knowingly letting him do it.
And -- Kutner has finally grown on me, and I half-want to hug both him and Thirteen, as well as Chase and House. And even Taub isn't annoying me the way he usually does. Foreman is annoying as usual, but Taub and Thirteen slapped him down so nicely I don't even care. On the other hand, I want to slap Wilson, Amber, and Cuddy. And... okay, now I want to slap the writers too, for making the old ducks forget all about "Half-Wit".
I loved the strike meta, but I don't even want to think about the House/Wilson/Amber. It makes me too sad for House, and I'm afraid I'm going to stay that way until next season.

A few things...
1. Who called Cuddy playing mediator? I called Cuddy playing mediator. I am the mistress of the Cuddy.
2. Awesome to see Cuddles reasserting herself. Couldn't think of a better H/A punishment.
3. New rule...every episode should include at least one House/Chase bowling scene from now on. It was eternally FTW.
4. At some points in this episode, I thought Kutner was the new Cameron, but I take it back: I'm in love with him.
Back with more thoughts after I get finished flailing.

Ah, it's good to have the show back. The H/W/A triangle scenes were fun and Chase & House bowling FTW!
Wow, Chase was really getting tense with Cameron about whether or not she slept with House. I personally don't think she did but I think she leaves it up in the air to keep Chase in line.YMMV.

OMG so much good stuff. And yet it was strangely boring.
Loved the House/Wilson stuff and the tug of war for Wilson. Funny how he's just passive in the middle like a rag doll. So much HoYay. Off the charts with that.
The PotW was very boring though.
The whole thing about the new kids dissing foreman like that did not ring true to me at all.

I agree with this comment 100%!
The House/Wilson/Amber scenes were love.

Okay, raise your hand if you knew House was screwing with them. *Raises hand high*
House and Chase bowling was a very pleasant surprise. Cute stuff.
So much Casual!Wilson that I nearly exploded and drunk!Wilson. But did he really rat out House? Not cool baby, not cool at all. Bros over hos and all that.
BTW, Amber, you b*tch.

Is Amber working at the hospital now? So much to digest. I liked it I think.

I have been looking forward to and dreading the new episodes because of the possible thrill or disappointment.
As i am on the west coast, I decided to check in here and see how the new episode had been received. Now I'm excited!

Cute nod to the writers strike via the nurses strike. Good to see both teams working somewhat together. Nice little custody battle, with a proper CNA salute at the end - I'm sure the nursing assistants didn't mind either. And I'm loving Kutner more and more.

The House/Wilson/Amber scenes were love.
My favorite parts by far. That and the massive amounts of casual!Wilson and drunk!Wilson.
This episode really showed me how much I don't care about any of the ducks, old or new. Nothing they did kept my attention.

I am super gullible and actually thought House might really have syphilis. Yes, I am pathetic.
It was cute how House was "jealous" of the W/A kissy face.
I'll give this a B+
I liked all the peripheral stuff a lot, but I was not at all invested in the PoTW.

Where are the continuity police? Did the writer's forget about Half Wit? We've been through "House has syphilis" before and House made it clear that he didn't have syphilis. Also, Cameron announced--in front of Chase--that she was glad she never slept with House. I knew that it was going to turn out that House didn't have an STD and I also knew he was faking the minute he gave Kutner a marker.
My question is this though--why are the new team acting like they've been with House for 3 years? Kutner totally reminded me of Chase throughout the episode, everything from his conversation with Foreman at the POTW's house to the epiphany at the end. 13, once again, sounded like Cameron spouting off about House cares about the puzzle, blah blah.
Anyway, House and Chase bowling was wonderful. Chase has great form whether JS can really bowl like that or not. It was fun to see them being friendly because I've gotten the impression all season that they're cool with each other but keep reading remarks about how Chase is "bitter" or "gloomy" or "angry."
The Amber/Wilson/House stuff was fun too.
LightMyCandle- 04-28-2008
Cameron didn't really bug that much, but there's no way she slept with House. I was wracking my brain trying to think of when it could have happened and I got nothing. And hey, she actually does have friends, and it doesn't surprise me that they're insufferable.
A lot less Cuddy then I thought there would be, but oh well. 13 was much, much, much better this week. And Kutner continues to be love. I'm still as blah on Taub and Foreman as I ever was.
I loved how giddy House was when he told Wilson what he'd done to the team and Wilson's just as giddy reaction.

:D
Overall, I enjoyed the episode. Although it would have been better without all the distractions around me.
There was good stuff, and I do agree the POTW was extremely boring.
