Kutner: I love you! I died.

Taiga- 02-03-2008

I called it weeks ago that somebody would have to drink the patient's pee! But wouldn't he have to taste his own pee to know what to compare it to? She didn't notice her toe was broken? I don't care how cold her feet are, she's an idiot. They can't keep the stations that cold all the time. See, more canon evidence that House loves Foreman - he's been wooing him for years. Oh, and what a nice surprise that Wilson was right about the patient not having cancer. This ep sure had a lot of House/Wilson focus. I can see House beating himself up for letting himself care about a patient and therefore almost missing the diagnosis. Kutner is obviously just comic relief, but he's not stupid - he pretty much came up with the diagnosis.

So was Cameron fired or not? I hope she was because she was seriously the only downside to the episode. Her character serves no purpose now, let's put her out of her misery. Anyone know the end song?

Namaste- 02-03-2008

Loved it, of course, but it's late, so I'll just ask one quick question ... during the second session in which House is at home, he comments that the benefit of working from home is that he can work pantsless. We could briefly see the scar. So what was the point of that? To show that he was willing to show that to Kate if need be? As a very external metaphor for his willingness to bare more of himself to this person? Just preparing himself for another episode of "I'll show you yours if you show me mine?" Either way, it was intriguing.

Ranee- 02-03-2008

Nitin Sawhney, I think, can't remember the track name.

Hail the Random- 02-03-2008

(why, oh why, couldn't she have been picked instead of 13?) Because then we wouldn't have had the awesome end scene. :D (I know, I wanted CTB to be hired too)

LightMyCandle- 02-03-2008

So do any of you think that Amber was on House's final list because he seemed pretty shocked. I don't think she was because House looked completely shocked and I loved it. :D SO much guy love tonight, despite W/A. House has been wooing Foreman for years. Foreman and Wilson spent the night together. AND, Kutner loves House. *ded* If only we hadn't have gotten that ridiculous cable subplot, I would call perfect ep.

Hail the Random- 02-03-2008

I didn't tune in in time to see the beginning of the ridiculous cable subplot. What happened?

travin1- 02-03-2008

Loved it. I laughed out loud more tonight then I have all season...heck, even part of last season. Loved all the Wilson scenes especially. You've never asked me that question and you've seen me fall down stairs drunk, Mama and the running away bit...good stuff. I found it pretty interesting that he did the ddx without his new team. He chose them but does he want them? I like Kutner more and more each episode...I love you, cracked me up. Nice to see House has some empathy and that he wasn't as goofy tonight. Seemed more like House to me. Only thing I was disappointed in was Cuddy's part tonight. LE can act...give her something to work with! Darn dvr recorded only the first 40 minutes because of the superbowl timing. Grrr. Hope it repeats on friday on USA. Only one more epi left. Looking forward to it but then what? I'm not going to think about it!

Taiga- 02-03-2008

HtR, House was trying to watch cable in Coma Guy's room (and BTW YAY for return of Coma Guy, I've missed him!) and Cuddy came in and said that the budget committee voted to charge patient's for cable now. Cameron is on the budget committee, so House went to her to demand they bring back free cable. She said no, so House send the newbies to pressure her into backing down. And no, I never for a moment thought that Cameron was really fired. Cuddy was playing him. Time has shown us that PPTH does not fire people for killing patients.

I really enjoyed it. Loved the humor. House playing "Let's Get it On" cracked both me and my mom up. And, Wilson is much more tolerable when he's being funny and not a manipulative lecturing annoyance. Him running from House was funny. And Foreman saying House had been wooing him for years. The House and Cate (is that how they spelled it?) interaction was great. I also liked him telling the team that he wants them to stand up to him. I wonder if that was the plan all along with the cable, or only after he saw how far they would go because they were scared of getting fired. Yay! CTB is back! Don't know for how long, but I loved seeing her on my tv again.

To show that he was willing to show that to Kate if need be? As a very external metaphor for his willingness to bare more of himself to this person? I think both of those, Namaste. The first session, Kate was so exposed and House was in control, though she saw some things he'd rather keep underwraps. I think the second session, he was evening things up--he didn't expose his scar directly, but he allowed the possibility of it being seen, and he made himself more vulnerable by shedding some layers. I think this was only possible for him because she was 8,000 miles away--Mira Sorvino or not. Still, another baby step for House. I loved this one. My only quibble is that if the writers are only going to feature either Cameron or Chase, it's high time Chase got a scene with House.

Thanks Tagia!
