Wilson's response to House's question about why they were walking: "Because it hurts you." It kind of surprised me that he said that. And hey, reconfirmation that Wilson's Jewish YAY for continuity. :D Favorite line of the night: "I think the World would be a better place if everyone pretended that their mother was looking over their shoulder."

Since my VCR decided to tape The Biggest Loser instead of House, and I can't replay - I missed part of the exchange between House and the donkey chick the first time she came to the clinic - when he was naming all the things St. Nicholas was the patron saint of - and she said something like "well two of them". Please explain.

Whew, my cable just went out. Thank goodness the weather held out for me to finish House.

Please explain. House listed all the things that St. Nicholas is the patron saint of, then started counting off all of those things that she isn't, for instance he said she wasn't a seaman, etc., so that left only one: prostitute. Then she said: "Well two, but obviously, I'm not a child."

But definitely plenty of Wilson, and liked the POTW and her daughter. And the clinic. And the ending. And a buzzed Wilson with a moose hat.

Wow...I loved it. Though it would have been nice to have gotten it at Christmas. I wonder if that was Hugh's piano playing near the end as well? BTW the end song was the Staple Singers' "Who Took the Merry Out of Christmas?" An awesome song....I love whoever chooses music for this show. I was kind of horrified thinking that the Clinic Patient actually WAS doing a donkey show, so that was a great reveal. Loved Kutner. Loved the lots of Wilson and the H/W banter and hanging out like old times, followed by the end bit of philosophical discussion. LOVED THE HAT. Kutner was adorable, and I liked the dynamic between Foreman and the new three. I didn't miss Chase and Cameron at all (good thing, too, since they ARE non-existent). Loved that we got some good House-patient interaction: he was great with Jane, the kid, and I love whenever House is firm but not cruel with a patient as he was with Janel when he told her he found out Jane wasn't her daughter.

Did I loose my mind or did House actually pay for Wilson's coffee?

merlin7- 01-29-2008

I'm not seeing anything "fresh" about these characters. They're not even reacting to House like new employees. It's like they all were given The Idiot's Guide to House's Personality before they signed up. There was absolutely *nothing* in the characters or their interactions that wasn't a carbon copy of how the others acted. 13 is like a season three (more jaded than season one) Cameron. Kutner is like a season one Chase (suck up). And now we have not one, but two Foremans. Love the 18 seconds of Chase and the fact that Cameron didn't even get to speak. Way to keep those "they'll be back!" promises, Katie Jacobs and David Shore. So much word. I'm not even pissed at seeing the bad/reject copies of C/C/F. What a bore. Even House was a bore. He sounded so monotone and bleh. There was a time when even during a super light Chase ep I could enjoy it because of House/Hugh. But no more. Thank god for my lap top to keep me amused so I didn't doze off. God I miss Chase. So much. The 3 newbies together can't even one of the original ducklings. Can Jesse go get his own show, please? He was the best thing about the ep. I did giggle at Wilson though.

I enjoyed it. Might have enjoyed it more if it wasn't for the two incredibly chatty people watching with me. Kind of missed things. I knew House only put his name in the hat before the episode even started, but I got a kick out of it. I also laughed at the bondage line. And, I knew (not from prior knowledge, just because it's House) that him going to church was going to have some set up. It also pleases me when I can point out to my mom that Wilson isn't a sweet little wounded bunny, so I was pleased with his "Because it hurts" line. I'll store that up for our next House vs Wilson arguments. And, the serious stuff was wonderful. House talking to the patient, listening to the daughter tell the truth and the mother continue to lie. I love those moments in the episode.

Squirting breast milk? Ew. And poor Wilson, wrong again: "It's not cancer" Argh. I give Wilson a pass on this one. They gave him film of her chest to look at. And there was no cancer. If they had given him a scan of her knee, he would have seen it, I'm sure.

jdr1184- 01-29-2008

I was sort of expecting a reference to House's dad since didn't he acuse him of being "too honest." Sort of makes you wonder about the honesty is child abuse line.

You definitely have a point there. And who would dream of such a thing except House? Although they did foreshadow it in the beginning of the show when they commented that even the best surgeon couldn't get all the breast tissue.

vitawash99- 01-29-2008

That was a fun episode - one of my favorites this season. Clinic! Oh, how you have been missed. The ending was just so fantastic, because it was like "Wait, what?" and then...oh, it was great. Chase! There you are! And still with Cameron! Yay! Stealing Cuddy's thong? Not that funny. Bondage jokes about the Dean of Medicine? Always funny. So much great House and Wilson, too. Wilson's reindeer hat was even more awesome than the promos had led me to believe. Favorite moment: "Where are we going?" "Nowhere, I just know it hurts you." Kutner was adorably goofy. Thirteen's determination to outwit House was great...as was Foreman's "and you think that'll make your life easier?" deflation. And dang, I guess the Huntingdon's-as-secret is dead. I also forgot about Taub and Foreman interrogating the guy. Great scene.

misere- 01-29-2008

I think the Secret Santa scenario may be one of my favorite sub-plots ever because House had so many motivations: get stuff, learn the newbies' opinion of him by their reaction to the drawing, and sow discord. So House. Kutner was cute. I actually liked that 13 was so suspicious. I don't think that she's all-knowing so much as extremely logical and cold. I hope they continue down that route with her.
