i didnt get the whole "he has a medical degree", not a lawyer's He knew that the patient was being encouraged by House given what he was being told. House was looking out for Wilson in his own way. I thought it was sweet, actually.

i didnt get the whole "he has a medical degree", not a lawyer's House was the person who gave the patient the idea to sue, not a lawyer.

Also, Wilson's back on the lecture train. Oh joy, He didn't start to lecture until House played a pretty mean trick on him. In fact, I believe House said, "I was trying to teach you..." *Gasp* So, House tried to teach Wilson a lesson.

That was cruel. I got so happy when he fired 13. That SOB. She's just Cameron rehashed. One Cameron was enough. Anyone else noticed that Kumar talks like he has rocks in his mouth? I actually liked the POTW. He was more interesting than any of the new staff, that's for sure--probably the best POTW so far this year. At least Chase was in this episode, though barely. There doesn't seem to be any hostility between Chase and House. I loved him for annoying Foreman. LOL The Wilson subplot was too close to a Scrubs episode for my taste, but RSL is good. Did House sabatoge Wilson in this case? Was it House who urged the patient to sue?

iamdaffodils- 11-27-2007

i didnt get the whole "he has a medical degree", not a lawyer's I took it to mean that House was advising the guy to sue Wilson so Wilson didn't give him the $6,000.

I can't believe House and Wilson didn't make up after their little row (that Kutner seemed terrified to interrupt, BTW). He looked how a kid looks when mommy and daddy are fighting ;)

SaphronGirl- 11-27-2007

Both Wilson and House reacted as if this is rare for Wilson, if not the first time ever. Good point...

Aren't false positives on tests something that can happen regardless of how good a doctor you are? Even though I hate that CTB is gone (although I may be one of the few who doesn't hate 13) my favorite scene was when House fired her, just for his speech to her. He knew that the patient was being encouraged by House given what he was being told. House was looking out for Wilson in his own way. I thought it was sweet, actually. Yeah. He was telling Wilson he shouldn't feel guilty or responsible because the guy wasn't happy with finding out he was going to live. But, he's House. He's not going to sit down and give him a heart to heart talk.

So for all of the H/W scenes, which I loved, this at first feels like the end results is much ado... I like House trying to stop Wilson from feeling bad about making a mistake (which maybe why House has always gotten over or overlooked what some have perceived as past mistakes/wrongs Wilson as made towards House) and Wilson tries to get House to see the need to take responsibility for his actions. Not really a new layer of the onion more like what we have seen before from a different, slightly deeper angle. Could be baby steps for Wilson or his justification for not moving forward with his life, because its hard. But Wilson sees and is trying to tell House that what's been going on lately is that life being hard frightens House maybe more than ever. ETA, so its not the pills that scare Wilson about House as much right now but the new ways he has been endangering himself

I really did not understand the Wilson subplot. First off, it's interesting that hallucination!Wilson of "No Reason" in S2 has finally aligned with actual!Wilson of S4. What House's mind predicted for Wilson came true in some weird sense. Since technically Wilson's schpiel about patients who find out that they're gonna live was actually a product of House's post-shooting hallucination, I guess I can forgive the writers this incredible redundancy in Wilson-characterization. On another note, I want RSL's babies.

Really annoyed and frustrated that Thirteen is staying, but I can't pretend I didn't expect it. I enjoyed Chase's scenes. Liked Wilson's screen time. I hope they don't ignore all the repercussions of his story and didn't just use it as an excuse for Wilson to harp on to House about his pain. Liked this episode, in general. I'm interested to see what starts happening now that the team is final. No fun that we have to wait until January. 'Tis the season to write lots of fics, I suppose.

Could be baby steps for Wilson or his justification for not moving forward because its hard. He sees and is trying to tell House that what's been going on lately is that life being hard frightens House maybe more than ever. That's kind of what I felt. I don't think (at least I hope not) that it's over. I don't anticipate the patient coming back but I think it could be the start of Wilson moving forward (by which I still mean Out. Of. The. Hotel.)

Siriusly- 11-27-2007

The last week of January, too.

Taiga- 11-27-2007

Someone said somewhere (S4 thread? Newbies thread?) that none of the newbies came across as competant doctors, and I'm forced to agree now. They all looked stupid. ETA It's called malpractice insurance, people.

And back in with House? Oh please please please please? Wilson gets sued and *has* to move in with House b/c he can't afford the hotel anymore. That is as plausible as anything else I have seen this season.
