I was thinking about the metaphor of House and Wilson being Types AB and O respectively just before House said it. Does that mean I'm awesome like House or that I watch this show too much?
It was a perfect metaphor. Which in my mind equates House + Wilson = love forever.

I actually really liked this episode, my pattern is broken, I'm no longer safe.
The thong thing was still annoying but not as bad as I thought it would be. I loved Wilson's scenes, I mean I loved them. Did he get a haircut? He looked all kinds of sexy in the foosball scene and YES another reaction from Wilson with House risking his life, that's two in a season, I'm putting it in the win pile. Which by the way, I must know how House knows Wilson's blood type. I really hope it gets mentioned again.
galaxygirl- 11-20-2007
And I'm sure the Wilson fans loved the 32 seconds of him.
I'm used to it, I take what I get and hope for a big payoff later in the next few weeks
Can 13 be any more of a Mary Sue? She's beautiful, smart, and the suffering heroine. She's more annoying than Cameron in her "House likes me" phase.
I really really don't like her and she's getting more and more like Cameron. Which is why I didn't miss Cameron at all(hell, I didn't even notice she wasn't even in the episode), we still had faux!Cameron

House passing out, I love that scene. Can't wait to see that again. And him lying flat unconscious. Cool to me for some reason. Yeah its the reason you're thinking ;)
I like 13 a lot more than Cameron. Even though I'm not a massive fan of 13. And are we going to learn her name? or is she just like "7 of 9"?? (star trek reference.)
galaxygirl- 11-20-2007
Wow, no Cameron or Chase at all tonight.
And I didn't even realize it until you said that. They really are disposable (to me, YMMV).
Same here, I didn't even realize that until it was mentioned here.

I don't get it, please explain :)

Did it even fit all the diagnostic criteria of Lupus? I am so going to Merck this one. I'll be back.
I would think that you can only go with the original symptoms. Everything from the MRI on were caused either by him (the swallowed key) or by getting the wrong blood type during surgery.
And am I the only one who counted back when House said he's had three transfusions within the past 10 years? During the infarction, after he was shot and now. (Note: I am not using the 10 years to be an exact moment for timeline purposes.)

And she was the only one who didn't try to manipulate Cole into not getting her fired. Yeah, she's officially a Sue now.
galaxygirl, people with Type AB blood are called universal receipients because they can accept a transfusion from any blood type. Type O are universal donors because they can donate to any blood type.

I only notice because it's a gut reaction at the start of every episode to mentally prepare myself to deal with Cameron, I hate her that much, so needless to say I was pleasantly surprised to find her absent. Chase would have been nice to see, but I don't think I really missed him.

This episode was good. (Besides the existential crisis I'm currently having over the fact that it was actually Lupus. LOL.) I thought Cuddy showed off some devious, conniving skills here, overriding House without going the "get in House's face" route.
The PoTW had me absolutely captivated. (And, even though I know it's TV, I loved the card on the opposite side of the glass trick.) Although, I thought House would have been absolutely relentless in his quest to find the answer to the card trick, and Thirteen's condition. I always perceived him as curiouser than that.
I also wondered why House wasn't a little more miffed over being drugged and subjected to procedures while he was unaware of it. I know he how doesn't have qualms about doing dangerous things to himself, when he has control over it (more or less), but in the past he's objected more strongly to having things done to him without his knowledge. Of course, this didn't really affect him much, so I guess it wouldn't have been such a big deal to him, like it would be if, you know, his leg was in question, or neurological functions (although, that strong objection was a part of a hallucination, so I suppose that's not dependable).
Anyway, I enjoyed this episode a lot, despite the anti-climactic reveal about Thirteen. You guys called that one ages ago.

Okay...
House drugged and tied to the table made me squee with glee!
I'll be more coherent later.

The complete Chaselessness of this episode would have been more of a blow, I think, if his role hadn't been reduced to almost nothing in the last few episodes anyway. I didn't really miss seeing him pop in for ten irrelevant seconds, which is all you can reasonably expect.

Hmm. Not sure how I feel about this episode. Enjoyed watching it, but about halfway through I was thinking it wasn't doing anything special. But then the "special" bits started showing up in the last half, and I think I'll have to rewatch before making sense of it all.
I was spoiled beforehand, so I wasn't as upset to see Cole go as I would have been without time to get used to it, but I still would rather he had stayed than Taub or Volakis. Kutner has finally started to grow on me; I enjoyed the boys in the teaser and they actually made me care about them in the ending scene, when Kutner walked off (though I still think it was dirty pool for Kutner to try to use Cole's kid against him). Taub still doesn't impress or interest me in the least, and I found it ironic that Volakis was insisting she was the best doctor around while simultaneously ignoring the patient and distracting Cole from the patient.
Thirteen -- I finally picked up on the Cameron 2.0 vibes that everyone's been talking about, but I still think she's more Chase 2.0. Actually, this ep convinced me that she's both Chase 2.0 and Cameron 2.0, which I have mixed feelings about. If she were the same character in a series that hadn't previously had Chase 1.0 and Cameron 1.0, I'd find her really interesting and likable. Instead, she just seems like a retread and I'd rather have Chase 1.0 back.
Interesting bits about House's health -- physical and mental. The scooter convinced me that, yes, they definitely are planning something about his leg. At least, I want to be convinced. My first impression was that he was putting his weight on the wrong leg, though, so I'm afraid it will just turn out to be sloppiness again.
Foreman -- grrrr. I liked him for most of the ep, until he "pulled the Cuddy card". I just can not believe that they're continuing with that nonsense -- that Foreman gets to countermand House's medical orders. That's just... arrrrgghhh!!!!
arizonamyrie- 11-20-2007
Okay, still not convinced of the lupus thing - the only real symptom he showed was cardiopulmonary. No rash, no fever. The abdominal pain that they showed was caused more by the key in the MRI than anything else. Of course, it doesn't surprise me that they never really tested for anything, other than blood-doping House (which I'm surprised that Wilson didn't call him on that). And why did House move after a kidney biopsy? You're supposed to remain in bed for 24 hours afterwards.
Okay, overall I liked the ep. Liked the subplot of Cuddy's thong. Glad that Cutthroat Bitch is still there (my fave). Good to see more Wilson, missed Chase and Cameron and the betting pool. They just need to have a sub-arc of the betting pool throughout the season.
LightMyCandle- 11-20-2007
Okay, I confess I was getting Cameron/HIV results in the last House/13 scene but I still like her way better than Cameron, she does seem Mary Sueish but I just like her whole attitude better.
Did any other slashers love that look Cole gave Kutner as Kutner just walked away at the end while everyone else went over to Cole. I just loved that look.

You would think she's had other colleagues confront her on this in the past though, and you would think that she would/could have used that in an argument against House. Or she could have gone straight for the leg and used his leg as a metaphor against him.
