I'm sure you'll all be happy to know that I actually really liked this episode.
"Hey, Mikey! She liked it!"
Easily the best episode of the season and I'd probably have to go all the way back to "Half-Wit" to find one that I liked so well.
More later, but it's enough that I can go to sleep thinking this a worthy "House" episode.
:-)

I love the kind of writing that forces you to watch an episode multiple times to pick up all the juicy tidbits.
So who wrote it? Since you all love this episode so much (as did I), perhaps there's something we can do to send our thanks and support to that writer... on the picket line... if you can think of something, I'll be glad to hand-deliver it.

Loved, loved, loved this. HL/House watching the evil edit was both horrifying and hilarious. Must watch again. Somehow I feel like the universe is now in balance again, just for this brief moment. Ahhh! Thanks, House peeps!

Hmmm....good idea.
But I've been on such a dry spell for wholly liking episodes that I'm afraid my reactions are likely to get you arrested for lewd behavior on a public street.
:-)
But seriously....I like your idea. Need to think, think, think on that. Since they're on the striking lines, maybe a DVD copy of "Matewan?"

Loved all the House Wilson; c-cup, wiccan interview, blew the janitor.
I have a question about the blew the janitor scene. Wilson gets up, walks toward the door then turns around and stands. This is in response to House saying I didn't realize I was that kind of guy. Wilson then says every guy is that guy. When House responds, he appears to be looking up but his eyes are not focused in Wilson's direction. Then it happens again. Is there a possibility that this scene was shot separately for HL and RSL?
Also in the BTJ scene when RSL and HL are standing at the door, RSL appears to be just barely taller than HL. Also, I loved that RSL was leaning against the door while with a slightly bent knee was trying to work the key. Very sexily hot!!!!!

So who wrote it?
Sean Whitesell, an actor and writer for Homicide:Life on the Street, who also most recently wrote and produced for The Black Donnellys. Olivia Wilde was the female lead on TBD, which was created by Paul Haggis (2 time Oscar winner), who wrote and produced in collaboration with David Shore (PH and DS are both from London, Ontario) on Family Law and Due South.
Oh, the connections.

Sean Whitesell is listed as the writer for this little gem. He decidedly has the "House" vibe down pat. (Hope you are feeling well enough for special deliveries, sherlockjr. :) Get better soon!)

It's my speculation that OW's beauty, although helpful for getting parts, probably wasn't as important in landing this role as her connection to Haggis.
Don't forget the Paul Attanasio connection.

I think you mixed up your sherlocks, but sherlockr21b probably appreciates your kind thoughts.

What I actually had in mind — unless someone comes up with something way better — is if everyone here who enjoyed this episode wrote the writer a note of appreciation, not just for his writing but also appreciation for the stand he's taking to better the lives of future writers. Send those messages to me by private message and I'll make sure he gets them.

Wow. That was a pretty egregious memory lapse.

Sorry jr!! I am so surprised and pleased by this episode that I only briefly whipped off the oxygen mask of shock to post the message.
So sherlock21b, do get well soon.
sherlockjr, very good idea, and so generous (yeah right ) to offer hand delivery.
Even better and (hopefully) productive if TPTB AND the network get to see those messages.

I might be able to get them to TPTB. Someone else may have to handle the network end of things.

OMG I loved this ep! So much good stuff! Great House/Wilson moments! Loved the whole docu concept. That was really cool. But I missed the opening so I don't know how it came about.
Not a big loss that the hot CIA woman is gone, right? The whole pretty/idiot thing made for some great fun. Love to see House mooney-eyed over a chick. Brings out such cute tender behavior. I like seeing his soft underbelly :)
sherlockjr, count me in for sending a thanks-for-a-great ep note.
I can't believe how much great stuff was in this ep. I was so enthralled nothing could tear me away.
The scenes regarding the Jewish doc's past were really kick-ass! Loved the bitch fight!

I can't believe that House and Wilson seriously thought that after firing her, Dr. CIA would go one a date with House. Especially since she didn't know a bout the game, and just assumed she had a guaranteed position on the team.Which was pretty stupid, Dr. CIA. But I'll suspend disbelief about her faster-than-a-speeding-bullet resignation/hiring.
I think its cause it just made a really funny scene, not that its something believable. "You're fired. Wanna do something sometime?" is not something you hear every day.
