Okay, first of all, thank the dear Lord in Heaven (or not) that Wilson was not involved in the laxative thing. The second he walked in, I started to get nervous, not only did he not participate, he tried to talk her out of it. Speaking of the laxatives, that was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, but I'm still kind of disappointed in her for stooping to that.
This ep. was the perfect example of how much screentime Cameron should get, IMO. Although, she miraculously did not bug me. I liked her little defensiveness about Chase and hey, some real confirmation that they're still together. Oh, and her hair looked great pulled back like that. *sigh* Why am I obsessed with that woman's hair?

Merlin, I agree about Foreman getting too much screen time. That's obvious. I still love him, though I think the former fellows should all get the same amount of screen time, and more screen time than the newbies.
As of right now, the only newbie I like is Amber. And maybe the plastic surgeon. But Amber is fabulous.
Cuddy is an idiot. I cannot stand her anymore. She's awful and moronic and cannot run the hospital to save her life. They've turned her into a doormat. And a stupid, whiny, helpless one at that. Ugh. The foreshadowing that we were hit over the head with was just revolting to me. Honestly, if they go that route, I'll...I honestly won't be able to watch the show. They need to either take Cuddy out or re-write her completely, because she is the worst character they've got on the show right now.
The PotW was both interesting and boring. This episode was pretty boring actually, like last weeks was. It could have been very interesting, but it just...wasn't. Highly anti-climactic with a lot of unnecessary build up.
I do have to say, I like House and Chase going in on the bet together, though I would have actually liked to see the deal, not just hear about it.
Wilson was wonderful, though. The highlight of the episode, as always. He wears the pants. Wilson wears the pants! Fantastic!

I also interpreted the remark about Cuddy getting pregnant as part of the pranks between them since it came right after House talked about knowing when his Vicodin was actually Vicodin then asked if Cuddy knew if her birth control pills were actually birth control pills.
Namaste- 10-30-2007
But what is this stuff about her getting pregnant?
After the laxatives, House noted that he can tell when it's not Vicodin that he's taking ... but then asked if she can tell that it's not birth control pills.
Which would actually mean to me that it's signalling Cuddy isn't actively seeking pregnancy at this time, if she's back on birth control pills (and judging by her reaction to House's comments, she is). I didn't interpret that to say that she's having sex with House --- but rather, as she noted in "Insensitive," she likes sex, and right now she doesn't want a kid.
We did get some interesting tidbits on the as yet unknown numbers ... confirmation that Taub is married, the bit about CTB thinking that if they're not going to like her, then she'd better always be right, and of course Kutner's delight in all things new. (And pain? Has he met the dominatrix from season one?) But ... hee. House is right. He's insane. Between putting the patient on fire and then shocking himself, he really needs to be kept away from the electronics. But as I mentioned after last week, I do really find his joy in trying really, really crazy stuff to be a real relief after too many "House, you can't do that" lectures in the past.

Yup. I instantly thought of "Love Hurts" when I saw that scene. Only I think Kutner probably has more to 'fess up about than Chase got accused of.

Okay, I didn't hear anything about mirror syndrome giving the patient telepathy, but it was amusing to watch so I'll just ignore that little bit of unbelievability.
Wilson gloating over being in charge was priceless. And if House beats out Cuddy and Wilson beats House, I guess that means Wilson runs the whole hospital. :-) Although dramatically, I think it would have been better if they had cut the scene short and not told us whether House or Cuddy "won".
So Cuddy is not only no longer trying to get pregnant but actively taking birth control pills? And did Foreman say something about House sleeping with her? Was frustrated that I couldn't immediately rewind to see what he actually said, since it was still taping.
"I haven't signed off on this"?!? WTF? Cuddy said he was "her eyes", not that she was putting him in charge again. At least he understands that Chase is better qualified for the job than he is. In fact, I'm actually enjoying the rest of his scenes, but just the fact that he said that... *shakes head* Still, I came out of this ep being relatively pleased with Foreman, mostly because aside from that one bad moment, he gave House the ego-boo he needed after the resignation arc. If he really has learned something and had a change of heart, then maybe having him back won't be so bad.
That second of Chase grinning when House didn't fire anyone was three times better than all the rest of the Chase scenes in this ep and last week's combined (and the audience in the back of the classroom was fun too). Foreman guessing that he and House were in the bet together was just icing on the cake - but it does mean we now have canon confirmation that House and Chase have met offscreen, so have free reign for the reconciliation fic! On the other hand, I now suspect we'll never get any canon reconciliation info.
I want Cole-and-Thirteen fic! The flower toast last week was better, but it's nice that they continued the alliance this week, even if Thirteen did have an ulterior motive. And I'm still going to be very disappointed if Cole leaves. Apparently, he did arrange a babysitter this week.
"If they don't like you, you gotta be right, or you're not worth anything." Hmm. Doesn't seem very much like Amber to me; she seems more concerned with being seen as right than as being right. Are we supposed to believe that House likes her because this is their similarity?
And why does he want Brennan to stay? Because House finds his foreign experience interesting? Because he wants to control who leaves and when? Because he really is open to all of them?
And how do you all manage to get your reactions typed up and posted so quickly after the ep ends?

I might loathe Foreman less if I could have gotten to see House and Chase do the bet. Or even see Foreman talk to Chase. Why couldn't I get that? Why did it have to be FOREMAN everything?

So, does anyone think Cameron knew about the betting scam between House and Chase? I didn't think she was in on it.
It was nice to have confirmation that Chase and Cameron are still together.
It was interesting to see that Foreman thought Chase was jealous of him.
(Sorry, Foreman, it's Chase's fans who are jealous and only of your screentime!)
And I guess having House and Foreman walk out all buddy-buddy is to signify that all's well between them?

I think he just wanted him to stay this time because he split the pot with Chase. If anyone left this week, he wouldn't win. If I'm understanding correctly, the bet was only for this firing period, not for the whole elimination process.
I liked House mirroring the patient at the end.
Ranee- 10-30-2007
If House can tell the difference between the vicodin & laxatives, doesn't it mean he took the later deliberately?
it does mean we now have canon confirmation that House and Chase have met offscreen
Not for the first time; of the Original Fried Ducklings, Chase is the only one to have done so & has done so repeatedly in the past at that.
Did anyone catch the writer of this ep?
Hail the Random- 10-30-2007
Did I hear a mention of Cuddy and pregnancy? If so, baby arc has been off and on since late S2.
