I know what you mean, Poeia. Foreman has way too many storylines as it is.

Namaste- 10-23-2007

Well I dug it. I got some real laughs out of the numbers, especially Kuntner -- he's definitely growing on me, and has a real joy out of the experience that's a kick to watch, just watching the grave digging scene. Heh. And .. "I have six roses" "Those are peonies... though, I'm sure they're from the rose family." Hee. The cutthroat bitch is still flying in style (the dog collar? Really?) and the poor patient. She'll live, but has to lose her mother all over again. I know a lot of people (especially Chasers) won't agree, but I think the changeup has given a whole different energy to the show. It's giving House new people to play off of and see how they'll react -- none of the old fellows would have hit him -- and it's fun watching him watch the others for their reactions.

Too much Foreman and Cameron, one scene with Wilson, a case I didn't care much about, my fave faux!Duckie got fired, but on the plus side, I like the Mormon guy.

LightMyCandle- 10-23-2007

Eh, I still don't mind 13. CTB had me at the end of last week and then she promptly lost me this week. I still love 6/9. He was so cute. "We're gonna dig him up!" Oh and "Call Wilson." Why does it make me happy that ROF knows about Wilson?

Taiga- 10-23-2007

Why does it make me happy that ROF knows about Wilson? I now believe that Wilson is part of House's reputation, that everyone knows about him (points to my icon).

I'm interested in the Salem Witchcraft Trials, so the whole ergot poisoning was cool. Cameron you ignorant slut!!!!! How was Cameron a slut in this episode?

stillunwritten- 10-23-2007

The firing of ROF makes me very, very sad. I loved him. A lot. I'm very happy that Amber is still around, though. She's freaking awesome. She's actually got a personality, which is a lot more than I can say for 13. She's just awful. And her wardrobe is worse than Cameron's, which is really saying something. I could not stand Cuddy in this episode, and thankfully we didn't get to see her much. The only saving grace of this episode, really. Lack o' Cuddy. And, naturally, there wasn't nearly enough Wilson or Chase. Decent amount of Cameron, which is fine. I have to say, I do miss Cameron, Chase & Foreman as a team. And I'd really like to know who on this production team is madly in love with Omar Epps. It's the only explanation I could come up with for the blatant Foreman worship on this show. Oy, it's awful. Oh, and how many fics do you think will show up tomorrow about House's close, loving relationship with his grandfather, who was killed without reason, causing House to be forever bitter and abandon his already loose relationship with god? Oh, and throw in Abusive!Daddy House for good measure.

Why does it make me happy that ROF knows about Wilson? I now believe that Wilson is part of House's reputation, that everyone knows about him (points to my icon). Yeah, I agree with you on that.

CousinAlexei- 10-23-2007

Note to "House" writers: "Strong female character" does not equal "constantly undercuts other females while looking sexy." Bleargh.

LightMyCandle- 10-23-2007

How was Cameron a slut in this episode? She wasn't. It's an SNL joke.

Taiga- 10-23-2007

Cameron you ignorant slut!!!!! How was Cameron a slut in this episode? It's the punch line to a classic 'Saturday Night Live' skit. The original is Dan Akyroyd saying to this really stupid woman in a total deadpan voice "Jane, you ignorant slut". ETA Whoops, missed by a second there. Since I'm here I'll ask what's with the Cuddy hate? I don't like that she wanted Foreman back, but yeah the production team is in love with OE and I think we're supposed to believe that stuff she was saying. I do believe that Foreman was the one House respected the most. I like that she saw through him and got him at a lower pay than he wanted.

Bessie Mae- 10-23-2007

I actually love CTB. And, I like 13. I get the feeling that House might invite ROF to a poker game maybe twice a year or so. I think he really liked him. eta: Oh, okay. I've never seen classic SNL.

fffaw- 10-23-2007

Quote: Cameron you ignorant slut!!!!! How was Cameron a slut in this episode? I think the poster meant it as a piss take on the old line from SNL - Dan Akroyd says to Jane Curtin "Jane, you ignorant slut. Now I'll never be satisfied." during a Point/Counterpoint spoof. It's just a jokey phrase. I don't believe it was meant to be literal.

sherlock21b- 10-23-2007

Well, as a confirmed Chaser I was utterly disappointed by his lack of screentime because I'm still convinced he's way more worthy of it than any of the Numbers or Ducklings (and must we seriously hash out the same Foreman issues yet again?). And the only number I loved (I still miss Selmak) got the boot, which didn't help matters. The only number who even deserves standing with the originals was Crazy Old Fraud. That said, even though the POTW issue was stupid and I loathed the fact that CTB got the diagnosis (are you kidding me???), I liked the ep. It flowed well, had a plucky spirit (no pun intended), and it had House impersonating Charlie. And the House, his grandad, and Wilson scene rocked. And Cuddy finally acted liked Cuddy should (and Foreman is a moron if he didn't think Cuddy is tapped into the hospital network grapevine).

Bedawyn- 10-23-2007

I really enjoyed this episode -- the POTW was interesting, and I loved pretty much all the newbie scenes. I've always liked ensemble shows, and even the characters I dislike, I can appreciate as part of the ensemble. And it was good to see some of the aftermath of last week's ep, if not necessarily the aftermath some of us were hoping for. I still love Dobson, but Taub has gone from boring to unlikeable. I mentally cheered every time House supported Dobson's ideas. I still want Cole to stay and now I'm terribly curious about his damage. And I'd love to see a single parent on the team, too, to see how that could play out, but I can also see how no sensible single parent would want to be on the team, and I can see how House might not want to "waste" a slot on someone who wouldn't always be able to make House his first priority. Volakis is still annoying and I still fail to understand why anyone thinks Thirteen is Cameron 2.0. Kutner and Brennan are still completely pointless, and I would be outraged that he kept them instead of Dobson if the explanation for why hadn't been so wonderful. I loved the peonies. Way too much Cameron, and not nearly enough Chase. I was planning to say there was just enough Foreman, because I enjoyed seeing him shot down, but then the closing scene with Cuddy left a bad taste in my mouth. Cuddy has completely jumped the shark. She is no longer remotely believable as a good person or a good administrator and I'm left with no choice but to wonder why the HELL she's so hot for Foreman. Wilson's scene was short but flawless, and the little reference to him when Dobson left was priceless.
