Doesn't canon give him only one team to draw on?
I think they are implying that he's had other groups of fellows in the past, but I'm not sure. It would make sense.

Didn't Wilson mention the other near death experiences? So it wasn't like they didn't reference them so they must have known that people would remember, although I don't know why House thought he needed to try it again.
he did, which was really smart. I can see House's curiousity getting the better of him that some how he has missed something that so many others have noticed.
I suspect this will be come one of those love it or hate it eps. I personally really loved it, it held my attention in a way House hasn't in a long time & I can't wait to watch it again.
I do fear, though, that she's heading into Mary Sue territory.
Hopefully not by having her make such a major mistake early. She's potentially going to have to deal with a yips problem early & House has an opportunity to do a better job of managing someone through that.

s it just me or does anyone else smell a possible attraction and - phooey on that - prospective romance between house and said brunette?
I imagine a lot of people do. I for one don't see any sign of it whatsoever.

When did Wilson quote "My Fair Lady"? I was in a room full of talking college kids.

I really wanted to be Anne dudeck when Hugh was gripping her shoulder so tightly. nice.
I also really connected with the main patient. He was great.
Loved the doggie!!

neither do I. I can see a much more mentoring relationship developing which is all good as far as I'm concerned.

Am I the only one who thought the potw's comment of wanting to get out of his useless body (or whatever it was exactly) factored in to House's decision to stick the knife into the wall socket?
Honestly, I think they pulled out a lot of exciting stuff like "I love you" and the dog dying and House in a do-rag and the torches, etc. to distract us from the lazy crap the writing of this episode really is.
I think I'd better stay away from the Garrett Lerner shrines because I might be tempted to leave him a little something to let him know what I think of his latest effort.

OMG robert was so hot when he was filling in for House. shows you what good wardrobe and hair can do!

Oh god, that scene is going to be total fodder for every H/W fanvid from this point until the end of time...
And it's about freaking time we had a scene for that. HAM, I'm sure, uses the kiss in every single one.
I've watched plenty of Huddy and I know they use the hug in H-W and now we have "I love you."
Speaking of Huddy, House and Wilson checking out Cuddy's behind? OT3, anyone?
Good times.

Wasn't the patient's disease based on that of Lerner's son? So he had the character who represents his son DIE??
RNwannabe- 10-09-2007
Just have to restate:
Cuddy is clearly wearing Olga lingerie. Hot for me, inexplicable for a Dean of Medicine. I would recognize that lace anywhere.

Writers can be notoriously evil. I say this as an aspiring writer myself.
Okay, I don't know who Lerner is. He might not have been a writer at all. So, substitute creative people if writer doesn't fit.

That's honestly where I think they're headed which may be why I don't mind her. She doesn't seem smitten or intimidated by House, which is good. I really don't think she's all that similar to Cameron. I am shocked to be feeling this way about her because I was dreading her the most. Now, I just want Amber gone.

First impressions:
Hee! House warned the patient about the teams beforehand.
Un-hee. Yet more reason to dislike Cuddy. House warns the patient, which is the responsible thing to do, but of course Cuddy accuses him of being irresponsible. And we see just how wrong she is when House realizes the patient actually is still in danger and immediately (and rather vehemently) drops the game. And then later she accuses him (implicitly) of not taking responsibility for his part in the death, but when have we ever seen him not bear (heavily) responsibility for patient failures? I really hope Cuddy comes across better on re-watch; otherwise I've finally lost all respect for her.
I so called the dog being sick too, but thought "No, they couldn't possibly be repeating that trick so soon after Harrington."
Yes, I still like Cole and Scooter. Didn't like Thirteen as much as I did last week, but was so right about her being Chase take 2. I'm less convinced than I was that they're going to get rid of Amber, but I still really want her gone.
It feels like we've been waiting forever to see Wilson at House's bedside.
The confrontation scene with Chase and House was way too short for all the hype from the promo photos.
Two weeks of time between TRS and now, means two weeks we can fill with fanfic! And this ep did nothing to contradict a story bunny I'm raising till I find somewhere to send it.
The knife-flicking scene was wonderful and confirmed for me that House is/has been suicidal; I think the thought of nothingness is probably the biggest part of what stops him.
But I'm still annoyed that TPTB seem to have forgotten that House told an entire lecture hall that he had visions during his first NDE. Why would Wilson say he hasn't been there? Did House maybe lie about the visions, to tell a better teaching story? Is he envious that he didn't get that glimpse of experiential truth (the first time around)? I'll leave all analysis of this time around for rewatch, though; same for the House/Wilson bits.
Other wonderful things:
- Not taking the obvious route with the almost-crash in the teaser
- The guys agreeing with Amber's official moniker of "Cuthroat Bitch"
- The bunsen burner torches! (the rest of the scene was lame, though)
- Most of the scene with Chase and Cuthroat Bitch -- was disappointed it was still airing so I couldn't immediately rewind to enjoy Chase's expressions again.
- House and Wilson (especially Wilson) watching Cuddy's ass as she walked away
- The way House looks up when the patient says he wants to die
- "Don't assume anything" and Wilson taking over the flock, and being all casually dressed when he does it
- House waking up and immediately being back on the case
- "You were diagnosing. Now I am!"
- "If I were going to fire you, I wouldn't be giving you the lecture."

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who heard House tell Wilson he loved him. I'm just pissed that Wilson seems...ugh. I covered this in my LJ synopsis already! I want the writers to stop giving me reasons to want to kick, beat, and/or stab Wilson. He's becoming House! Or, at least, the bitter bastard everyone believes House to be!
At this point, even though I think House needs some serious psychiatric help, I'd say Wilson needs a lot more.
