That was extremely underwhelming. I can't make an official decision on either girl based on what I've seen. I do like Kal Penn the best though.
First and foremost, I am soooo sick of these stupid patients with their "find another way, waaah." Seriously, are they doctors? I didn't think so, shut up and let the DOCTORS do their jobs.
Nothing shippy on all three fronts.
Chase, my little boy's become a man. I'm so proud.
Too much Cameron, and what's the first thing she does? Gripe because he hasn't noticed her until now. Which I have to say, the fact that it did take him so long to notice her pleases me.
Oh, and Cameron told? Wow  I don't know about you guys but I am shocked, SHOCKED! I don't know how I can even wrap my mind around that one. Okay, end sarcasm.
Wait, what the "shock" the fact that the old guy wasn't really a doctor? That actually makes more sense.
The ep. did have a quite a few good oneliners that I liked. Not enough Wilson, but the "monks made me swear a blood oath" line made me laugh.
House didn't really seem mad at Wilson and he did still believe him about Foreman. Why does he always believe him?
But hey, Wilson mad the promo, speaking of which House, WTF? You're starting to tick me off.

I too was sad that the cute one was fired.
Okay I'm stupid, were Chase & Cameron never in Arizona? Are they really engaged? Why the hell IS Cameron working in the ER, really? And what the heck is with Wilson convincing House he's hallucinating? From Cameron's reaction it appears that she was in on it, which is even weirder.
Am I the only one thinking that Cameron was inappropriately flirty with House?
The thing that bugged me the most was that everyone had orange skin. Or was that my TV?
I have the same questions, only in my case it could be the amount of alcohol I had.

Adding my Scooter and 6/9 love. It's good to be proven right, I knew I"d hate 13, and boy do I. Thank God #2 got fired. Blond don't know her number needs to go next.
Not enough Wilson, definitely not enough Chase, and too much Cameron and Foreman.
Oh and I really miss the Cuddy I knew and loved. Someone send out a search party.

Ok. Count me as one who liked (not loved) it. Thought there were some great House moments, some OK new duckling moments, not enough Wilson moments and way too many Cameron moments. Oops, there were only 2, but that was 3 too many.
S4 has a different feel to me but, to date, it's not all bad. Sure beats the Tritter arc, Stacy arc or Vogler arc.
Not sure what I feel about the new ducklings (and can't recall their numbers). But I give TPTB a bit of credit for trying something new and I can't say that it isn't working. Can't say it is either . . . .

The new fellows had a few good moments, but the premise of the patient was just stupid. Get drunk and don't have anyone sober to deal with actual medical problems because she wants to keep her dream? WTF? I hate it when they create these silly scenarios because the patient would rather be stupid than alive. Let the bitch die then.

Maybe Monk can find her, I heard he's a good detective.

Liked the stuff with Scooter. I didn't see that coming.
#18 - the black Mormon is the new Cameron
#? - the one who stole House's keys to get the car washed would be a good Foreman. She's willing to trick the others into quitting if it will help her.
#39 - the plastic surgeon - has possibilities
Has Cameron gotten more smug and insufferable over the summer?
Cuddy is an idiot. She has an intensivist who is a trained diagnostician. There is an actual shortage of intensivists in this country. So of course she hires him for the general surgical staff so he can repair hernias, etc. Even Cameron -- who needs an immunologist/diagnostician in the ER?
On the whole, it was an okay episode. Some inventive ideas from the newbies. I liked that they were willing to burn down a unit for the patient. That's very House.

A few things went over my head. I get that House didn't really tell NASA about the patient, right? But, he told her he did, so how did she find out differently? Did Cameron tell her? And, what job did House give Scooter?
One episode isn't enough for me to form an opinion on anyone, so I don't hate or love any of the new people yet. And, I'm prepared that either one of those options is possible once I do get to know them -so apparently, I'll form an opinion on the ones who get to stay.
I liked the scene with House and Chase when Chase was watching the surgery. I thought it was significant and a very nice exchange -even without words.

House was hot as usual. Wilson had a very ugly tie, yay Wilson. Definitely not enough H/W. Can there ever be enough? The thing about the new ducks is that it means less screen time for HL which makes me sad. I found it amusing and ironic that without even knowing what was going on Chase came up with the diagnosis. I thought that was pretty awesome. :) Yay Chase! I didn't mind the Cameron thing at the end; imo it wasn't overdone. I love her hair! :)
I didn't think Wilson was lying to House, just playing with him, teasing him. I thought it was cute and funny, kind of like how 2 lovers might tease. ;)
I didn't find the PoTW that interesting, but it was hard to devote a lot of ddx to her with the limitations and the 40 odd people around.....
Glad we got another food stealing shot! :)
Over all it was ok, but it needs more House (duh) and definately more H/W!!!!!!!!

So-the show is only worth watching if Wilson--Chase--G-dForbidCameron--is on A LOT?
That's not why I watch the show. I watch it for all of those things combined.
I don't think Wilson was LyingtoHouseforHisOwnGood. I think he was fucking with House because it's fun.
Everyone watches for their own reasons. So YES..it's only worth watching for Chase, usually Wilson and er NO on the Cam being on alot. For me.

Haha! Yes! Love that show.
Anyway, I miss her too.

Yes. I hate her even more than I thought was possible.

Completely confused about that as well but it's Cuddy, I don't think she has done anything sensible in a while.

Very happy me - rewinding to watch again right now. Did NOT like the cuthroat little pixie, but the others weren't so bad, and I liked 26. And I loved the final scene with House and 26 -- made me fall in love with House all over again. As much as I loved seasons 2 and 3, they did tend to lean more toward the House-is-an-asshole side, so it's very nice to see season 1's unconventional-but-kind-when-it-matters House back.
What was that wooden contraption thing across his desk in the Mormon scene with 18?
Ranee- 10-02-2007
I'm a bit disappointed. Some good bits with the candidates, the old guy was fun & 6/9 & the psych out with the car by the blonde woman (hey, she's different to the Cam/13 clone thing).
I want to throttle Cameron now & put us out of our misery.
Taiga- 10-02-2007
I think he was fucking with House because it's fun.
Yeah me too, I just don't think it's fun to make something think he's crazy. What's really funny is that it seems Wilson was right, House really did hallucinate Foreman.
I loved the Shrodinger's cat joke. LOVED it.
