Truly, but I guess we have to face that for House death experience is another way of saying, Good Times! LOL. I live in hope but I fear he won't be around, again *sighs* He probably won't be around. Why can't I just kill every last ounce of hope in me so I'll stop being disappointed? Scruffy Wilson? No thanks.

iamdaffodils- 10-02-2007

Yeah, I've always had this thing about stubble - but I know it doesn't work for everyone. Unless Wilson is being held hostage or stranded on a desert island or something though, I'm sure we'll never see stubble. Another dream denied!

Did anyone give a crap about the astronaut? I didn't. I agree that this was a mess. But that doesn't stop my love for House/Wilson scenes. The final scene with Cameron was . . . odd. I didn't give a crap about her either olivia. It wasn't a mess for me, I liked a lot of it, but just didn't feel like a Doris Egan episode. I expected too much I guess. Oh and whether it's been said already or not, it bears repeating - JS with fuzz/stubble - extremely hot. Now if only Wilson's razor would break, I'd be one happy girl. I did enjoy it too, despite the scattered nature and dumb premise. I always love having Hugh in front of me. And there was some cute, fun stuff. I thought Jesse looked great, too. How can I miss people who annoy me so much?? (not Jesse, but Cam and Foreman)

Yay, Chase! I'm not sure if that was a "Yeah, I get it now" sort of moment, or a moment suggesting that Chase isn't quite so zen about this as he seemed. Cameron seemed kind of smarmy, or at least sort of off. Like poor JMo was having a "seriously? this is the best they could come up with?" moment while she was trying to do the smiley thing. Although that could just be because Cameron doesn't get too much in the way of smile moments. Whatever, she had a crappy summer, she gets a week of slack. However, the idea that you get caring out of your system in the move-em-out land of emergency medicine is just nuts. But on the upside, she and that faux-Cameron can be BFF now. Engaged? I doubt it. Only a few weeks are supposed to have passed since the season finale, yes? I think that was just Wilson putting more pressure on House. I liked Anne Dudek's character. Weeding out a bunch of followers who probably won't work out with House anyway? That's work smart, not hard, kids. Sure, I don't want her for a coworker, but for a few weeks, I'll be happy to watch her. Not sure how she wouldn't end up a one-trick pony, though. Thirteen was also fine by me. The rationale for leaving the name unsaid was wobbly, but eh, whatever. She was funny and might be interesting. (And, uh, I'm really delighted that they're both better actresses than the B-roll would lead one to believe.) Taub, Scooter, and Kal Penn were enjoyable. (He set the woman on fire. Good Lord.) I swear Cuddy was checking out #10 when he snitched. I wasn't thrilled with Mormon guy but I liked the actor. Wilson, repeat after me. Freud is a fraud. Now drink a few kamikazes and try to say it. Good luck with that.

I don't get the Dr. Scruffy thing. ETA: Oh, okay. I really liked Cameron 2.0, and I liked Thirteen a lot more than I expected to.

Ranee- 10-02-2007

However, the idea that you get caring out of your system in the move-em-out land of emergency medicine is just nuts. But on the upside, she and that faux-Cameron can be BFF now. the weird thing is that Cameron 2.0 must have been working for Cameron for the last few weeks, including during Alone. That just makes me squirm about the idea that Cam 2.0 was absorbing wisdom that she trotted out last ep. The Dr Scruffy thing, that's him suggesting to the lurkers to de-lurk, Sirusly. Just ignore him, it works best rather being so impolite as to tell him he smells!

Bessie Mae- 10-02-2007

Forgot one funny line. Wilson telling House the next time he saw Cameron, she'd be black. Wilson is way more tolerable when he's being funny. I don't care if it's just his own humor or drug induced.

Doctor Scruffy- 10-02-2007

Doctor Scruffy: Ranee so smells! DIY Sheep: Shush! But Ranee is also right. We have a lot of guests and we would like to get them to register and post, enjoy themselves and all that jazz. Doctor Scruffy has been unwittingly recruited to help out. He doesn't really like it, but he does his best. So please think about joining and posting. If you like you can always lurk and enjoy. HHOW is about fans for fans and fun for fans and funstuff for fans. Sorry about whacking the ad in the middle in the thread, but we would really like everyone to get involved and have fun. Doctor Scruffy: No we don't. DIY Sheep: Shut up! ... Now - back to the chat.

LightMyCandle- 10-02-2007

You know what sucks about living in the midwest? The freaking tornados. I watched the whole ep. on a smaller screen because of all the storm warnings posted and when did they decide to put it back to fullscreen? Right during a nice close-up of Cameron. *Curses fate* :x Okay, I gotta hit the hay now.

fluffy2001- 10-02-2007

Considering Foreman has been at Mercy the last month, obviously at least a month has passed since the season finale. He did have possibilities set up, so the assumption is one of them happened immediately after he left. Score another one for Chase! I hope that goes on the big giant tally of who got the correct diagnosis (is it on a thread here?) It was so great to see him, but oh so brief. I miss him terribly. Forget why Cuddy would hire Cameron in the ER and Chase for surgery, why did they take those jobs? Wilson said Chase followed her, so that kind of makes sense why he would take that job, but then the presumption is that Cameron started first. Does anyone think she actually took the job to make a difference? Does anyone care? :D Sorry, burning questions at too late an hour. Since it has only been a month, I doubt there is an engagement as well. My overall impression of the episode, meh.

hughsblues- 10-02-2007

Now that was an episode. Plenty of House, plenty of ddx, just enough drama, a PotW and setup I found interesting and not too far-fetched, glimpses inside House's head that came courtesy of the camera and not some half-baked psychoanalysis, and did I mention plenty of House (and looking his best, I might add)? As for the candidates, I don't like them per se (one of them's a dead ringer for one of my least favorite defense attorneys on the Law & Order mothership). But they are at least interesting, for now anyway. Unknown quantities but showing some sparks of character. I was kind of dreading how this Survivor thing would play out, but it's being handled better than I expected. And I'm convinced: House needs a team. The man and the show. Not having to lean so much on Cuddy and Wilson made them much more tolerable, even LE's wardrobe. I feel like the season's really begun now. Wow had to go all the way back to the third page to find some reactions to this episode that line up with mine. And that's cool...but I'm just sayin...damn. I'm with you peggy! I really liked this episode very much. Maybe I'm just easy to please? I don't ship anyone and I thought the last scene between House and Cameron was excellent. I hope we have more like that between House and the former team all season. They get him and his motivations by now and his conversations with them reveal a lot. It was good stuff from where I was sitting and at no point did I want to strangle Cameron but hey that's me. I've never understood the hate on Cameron though so I'm a little out of that loop. Thought the House and Wilson stuff was just enough. The episode didn't have as much silly stuff as last week and it had House really caring about a patient's outcome but making sure he looked like the bad guy so no one suspected he might care. Really loved that. I really liked the whole thing a lot. Good focus on House...newbs took some time away from him but it was our first look at them so that makes sense. Otherwise...sweet show. Shot of House's biceps flexing as he worked on that guitar? Gravy.

olivia720- 10-02-2007

I'm glad the bitchy girl with the accent is gone. The blonde has that bitchface thing going on, too. I agree with whoever said they were bummed the cute guy got let go! I'd much rather watch him than oldfart guy!!

Poeia- 10-02-2007

Neither House nor anyone else almost died this week. HHoW spoiler rules state that until the episode airs, it's all spoiler so please take it to the spoiler speculation thread for the sake of us spoiler-phobes. Thank you. I did like that House was a doctor for some of this rather than just a comedian. Serious in “in the best interest of the patient.” I love Chase but I thought it was ridiculous that he got it without even sitting in on the DDX (and House didn’t). I think they’re pushing the “Chase is ready” stuff a bit too far. New timeline problems: Alone took place 2 weeks after Human Error He didn’t solve the case alone by the end of the day so Cuddy didn’t leave him alone for a week. Assuming he started putting the NKOTB group together right after Alone and it took him a couple of weeks, this episode took place 4 weeks after Human Error. Cameron and Chase have been back for 3 weeks – that’s not even a decent vacation. And if it took House less than a week to put together this group, Cameron and Chase starting working in their new departments while they were still in Diagnostics.

I did like that House was a doctor for some of this rather than just a comedian. Serious in “in the best interest of the patient.” Me too Poeia. I need to re-watch that scene where he was listening to the POTW's heart and thumping her chest or whatever he was doing cause I missed some of the dialogue. I love when he actually does doctory-stuff like that which he doesn't do often enough for me. And I like that they showed him scrubbing up before going into surgery - that was a first.
