3.22 Resignation From tv.com:
The team deals with a 19-year-old college student, while Foreman suddenly and without a reason hands in his resignation. House seems to have already found Foreman's replacement, an attractive nutritionist named Honey.

This episode is one of my favorites because it has my favorite H/W interaction of the whole season and it has speed!Wilson. I've watched those scenes about a million times. To be honest though I can't remember anything else at all about the episode.

Something else happened...?
Yeah. This is one of the greatest episodes ever. That is all.

There was something about a person and they were sick...I don't know I was too distracted by Speedy Wilson and curious/concerned House to noctice. Oh and House doesn't like tea. Such a great episode.

And this episode marks the first time Wilson returns to House's apartment after MLC, the first mention of the events of Half-Wit etc.
Seriously, this episode is fantastic.

whoa, what, there was a patient and all? For real? ;)
High!Wilson is probably my favorite scene ever of the show. The H/W this episode is amost my favorite H/W stuff ever. This episode is absolutely brilliant.
I also have no recollection of anything else happening in this episode, I don't even remember the POTW.
I'm ashamed to admit that today I first noticed that Wilson grabbed the drugged cup of coffee, I always thought he grabbed the other one and that House had spiked them both. I wonder how House knew Wilson wouldn't take the one he offered and why Wilson was suspicious of the one offered and grabbed the other one.
I officially spend way too much time thinking about this *sigh*

Wha? Patient?
High!Wilson is probably my favorite scene ever of the show.
Definatly in the Top 3.

One thing I noticed for the first time the other day when I was watching this for the millionth time was that when House tells Wilson that he bought him coffee Wilson makes this gesture like he's checking his wallet. Hee!
RSL is always being praised as a great dramatic actor, and I totally agree that he is, but I honestly think that he's underrated as a comedy actor too.

I remember the patient! Sure I just see this two weeks ago...
I thought that the patient was there as a metaphor to Wilson. She was depressed, Wilson was depressed (I do beleive he is). And what got my attention was the last dialogue between House and the parents, when they told him that they would do anything to help their daughter and House asked if they could make her happy. Was he thinking about Wilson? Was he asking himself if he was able to make Wilson happy? Am I reading to much into this?

Eh, I don't know about that. The patient may have been a metaphor for Wilson but I kind of thought that she was more of a metaphor for House, (I'm one of the one's who thinks he's depressed as well, so I could be completely off base.)
As for the last bit of dialogue, it could be, he had just talked to Wilson but I tend to doubt that he was thinking of Wilson, I think that once his curiosity was satisfied he wasn't all that concerned with it. That's not to say he doesn't care Wilson's depressed but I don't think he's going to invest much time thinking about it for any other reason than he's curious about it, but that could be the pessimist in me talking.
I just rewatched the ep. cause I got my DVDs. YAY :D

Yes, she could be a metaphor for House, as well (I think he could be depressed). But she was trying to hide her intentions, as Wilson was too. Somehow, her last bit of converstion with House remembered me of Wilson: "I was never been happy".
I like to thing that House care about Wilson a little more than just being curious. Maybe we could see this in season 4?
I know, wishful thinking...

I think that he does and maybe he even felt bad or guilty that he couldn't make him happy or that he felt he had to hide it from his best friend. My point was House is not really a care giver, he's not going to go to great lengths to take care of Wilson beyond making a diagnosis. I wan't trying to imply that he doesn't care about Wilson beyond curiosity, just that I don't think he really has it in him to go out of his way to help or take care of him. I think that House met his inconviencing himself for Wilson quota for S3 by taking in Hector.

Gosh, I just re-watched this ep on fox & there's way more subtlety than I recall about the parallels between House & Addie & Wilson's depression & Foreman not trusting his gut versus Chase making (& following through) on medical decisions independent of House (& House watching both of them very carefully through this). I actually feel the need to watch this right away again (to catch all the coffee shenanigans too) which isn't how I felt when I first saw this ep (I was a bit "meh" first go around, Wilson on speed not withstanding).
And the continuity monkeys got one right - Wilson's seeing Stein's patient because Stein's gone - yes, for six months in Africa per Half-Wit.

That's one of my favorite scenes too because of the foreshaowing of the BGW storyline. House appears to be looking in the direction of Wilson's when tells the mother "everybody has secrets."
Also when Wilson warns House 4man's gonna leave, House "well it just makes me thankful for the good things that I do have" and he nods at Wilson. So much love!! There are no words to express my love for the HW apartment scene.

I, too, adore Speed!Wilson.
What's the BGW storyline?
