The interesting thing is that apparently the assistant didn't tell anyone, until Cameron asked her.
It would be appropriate that the assistant wouldn't say anything, but what I'd like to know is how/why Cameron convinced her to talk ;D

My guess would be Cameron knows how to cultivate her sources....

Exactly! If Tritter just asked the assistant about it and not the entirely oncology departament, how Cameron got the information so fast? Did she drugged the poor woman?

She's a slut for coffee?
I shall have to shoehorn her into a fanfic at some point.
Someone needs to! How come the weird night janitor gets all the love? That assistant must have some great stories... and given all the time Wilson spends wandering the halls of PPTH, is probably very overworked.

And just one more little thing about this elusive assistant: does she have an office for herself? On another floor, maybe?

One of my favorite quotes is when Coma Guy, after asking about Stacy, asks House if he's ever loved anybody else (while Wilson's in the car). House: "No more questions." Notice Coma Guy didn't ask if House was ever IN LOVE with anybody else, just if he loves someone, so it's not necessarily even a slash interpretation. I think Egan put that that in to tie in with the later scene where Wilson and House discuss their relationship - an indication that, as mean as House is being to Wilson, there is at very least an underlying platonic love. Which House himself basically acknowledges, in his own, with the "push it until it breaks" scene.

When Dan asks “If you could hear on thing from your father, what would it be?" and House says “You did the right thing”. What do you think he is talking about?

The beautiful thing about that line, to me, is that it's so open to interpretation. It could be something out of his youth, his decision in career, some moment out of the past that only they know of. Maybe just House's decision to live life on his own terms, and not anyone else's. From what Wilson says in "Daddy's Boy," House feels he's a disappointment to his parents, so to me, "Son Of A Coma Guy's" comment fits in very well with that canon, even if we don't really know the complete reason for it.
Taiga- 01-05-2008
I thought it wasn't a reference to any specific thing, just an expression of how House feels his father has never approved of him; specifically, how he never measured up to his father's strict criteria on how he should behave/feel.

So, this is on as we speak, and I'd forgotten how much I love this episode, although damn you all for making me watch it with slash goggles! I may need to go watch Humpty Dumpty and ease myself back into Huddy.
John Laroquette is fantastic in this role; he bounces off HL and RSL well. I also am loving every word that comes out of Wilson's mouth.

FYI Chippers I for one (and not the only one, I believe) neither don nor recommend donning slash goggles, seeing only tease, jokes and double entendre where others see, well, other. Personally I think the relationship between House and Wilson is both stronger and more interesting as a friendship. Huddy makes sense and seems to be genuinely where the characters are headed, even if only occasionally. They are both so flirty and enjoy each other so much, it adds to their zesty badinage: terrific! I too love SoCG and will be watching in an hour and six minutes. Though I do have the dvds and could watch right now. Yet the broadcasting part is somehow compelling. St. Doris writing for the bes-*test*-('") cast on the bes-*test*-('") show ever! Yay!

ITA, Boffle, ITA. I didn't mean to, either, but when John's character asked something to the effect of, "Have you ever loved anyone else?" and House didn't answer, this is path my brain took: "Wilson! You love Wilson, but you can't say anything because he's sitting...oh hell." Chippers not happy.

"This is like trying to control the weather, but I'd prefer it if you didn't eat in my car."
Son of A Coma Guy was on USA tonight, and I was reminded of how much I like that line. It is just so...Wilson.
And I love how Wilson just suddenly decides that he's going to go along for the road trip and just gets in the car. What? He didn't have any appointments that day? Or does he call his secretary as he was driving away and tell her to cancel them?
More evidence for the theory that Wilson doesn't actually do anything at PPTH.
deelaundry- 07-12-2008
Do you remember the crazy spec a few years ago that Wilson wasn't actually a doctor, but a psych patient Cuddy let pretend to be a doctor to give House someone to hang around with?
:D I love that spec. And also this ep.
houserocket7- 07-12-2008
The thing that gets me is how round Tritter's head is especially in comparison to House. He's like a really tall Charlie Brown (or so he was described to me...)
I know it's a bizarre observation, but it just bugged me...
