2.19 House vs. God From tv.com:
House treats a 15 year old faith healer, while Wilson feels left out when he finds out House isn't planning on inviting him to his weekly poker game.

Ah, House vs God! My favourite ep of season 2. I'm sure none of us need reminding of the H/W goodness, but I'm gonna remind myself anyway. So Wilson's just moved out... but he left his DVD player behind. Cunning ploy to come back & get it during House's poker night?
House interrupts Wilson while he's talking to Grace - one of my favourite exchanges:
Is she dying?
Yeah.
Before the end of this consult?
They could build monuments to your self-centeredness.
And another. House on the POTW: He figures out what's going on in people's lives by watching, listening, deducing.
Wilson: And you're worried about trademark infringement?
POTW says out of the blue to House God wants you to invite Dr Wilson to your poker game. God I remember I was gobsmacked the first time I saw this.
H/W splendid example of bargaining when House wants Wilson to talk to his patient: You would let this kid die just to get into a stupid game? / You'd let him die just to keep me out?
Wilson has a key to House's apartment. And House recognises his knock. Oh yes.
And I've only just got to the poker game. Bus stop guy, accountant, dry cleaner guy!!! What a FANTASTIC insight into House's life! Wilson can tell when House is bluffing; House can't tell when Wilson's lying; House's moment of realisation across the poker table; Wilson's panic (Tell them my name isn't Wilson!); House's oh-so-true line His name isn't Wilson, and he's screwed up worse than I am. And the whole confrontation in the street...
House asks Wilson to move back in with him. Oh yes he does.
And the whole House v God scoring on the whiteboard.

hws, I swear I'm not stalking you :)
I agree this is a fabulous episode, with so much H/W godness! That last scene, with House so insecure asking Wilson if they were ok... The looks!
Season 2 has so many wonderful episodes about H/W, but this was the best IMO.

H/W godness
Should that have been goodness - or was it a cunning deliberate pun?
Stalking? - only too pleased to find someone with me on this!

Hee... Yes, it should have!
It was totally unintentional, but I kind of liked it...

oh the HoYay, how I love it. It might not be my favorite episode of the season(that is Autopsy), it's pretty damn close.
I still believe that the problems between H and W, that hit it's high during season 3, started with Wilson's refusal to move back in. I think that that is what hurted House more than almost anything that happened during the run of the show. YMMV. I would love to know why he didn't want to move back in. My dirty little hoyay brain has some idea's...

I totally agree. That's why I love so much this episode, it's one of the few times that we can see how much House cares (even if it's just for selfish reasons).

GG - I thought it started in that episode, with House finding out about Wilson's little sexcapades. I wrote a whole, messy analysis about their relationship in every single episode from that point, comparing it to before this episode. Seriously, after this episode things got really icy between the two. Just watch Euphoria part 2 - ouch. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.
But I do absolutely love this episode. I'm not sure it's my favourite from S2 - it's a tie between this and All In. Really though, so many wonderful moments. It's particularly nice to watch after Season 3 - lots of moments of House caring about Wilson. There was so much more evidence of that in S2 that S3 (which also supports the 'it's all down hill from here' theory).

May I ask you where do I find your analysis?

Guh, I'd have to tidy it up before letting it out into the big wide world. When I say messy, I mean messy.

This is in the Fox recap for after Foreman and Chase tell Boyd that they want to remove his brain tumors:
"Boyd refuses the surgery. House wants Cuddy to call the lawyers, but she wants him to talk to the patient first. Yet he must approach it not as an adversary, but more like Wilson does with his patients. House finds Wilson and asks him to speak with Boyd because Cuddy requested him to do so. Wilson only agrees to do it if House lets him in the poker game. House relents."
I'm assuming this was the original script and it was altered for time. Too bad, because I like this version better. We've never seen House go to Wilson before, so it makes sense that he did it because Cuddy told him to. I also like the idea that Cuddy tells House to do it himself but he turns around and gets Wilson to do it for him!

This episode is as close to perfect as can be. I wish all episodes had House/Wilson exchange of this nature. The looks - the bloody definition of eye!sex, the mutual blunt accusations and shouting that don't prevent Wilson to be at House's back and call the moment he needs him.
I love it so much that Wilson is the only one that House can't read, that even after 17+ years of close familiarity, Wilson keeps House guessing. This is one of a handful of episodes that do justice to this idiosyncratic relationship, and with an interesting POTW that interlaces with the House/Wilson crispy epitome, I really can't ask for anything more.
Apart from canon h/w sex, that is.

I finally watched this episode(yes about 2 weeks ago, but still) and I sat very still and didn't say anything during the episode. And a book fell on my head. Cursed, I tells ya! CUUURSED!

Except Wilsie wouldn't move back in with House at the end. :(

House would make Wilson move back in. :)
