2.16 Safe
From tv.com: Melinda, a troubled teenage girl who is immuno-compromised as a result of the medications she must take after a heart transplant, has a severe allergic reaction and goes into shock when her boyfriend visits her. Meanwhile, House and Wilson continue to work out the problems in their new living arrangement.

This is my fav ep of S2.

galaxygirl- 08-15-2007

I affectionally refer to this ep as Prankfest 2006. Even Dawn doesn't bother me as much as she did on Buffy. It's probably in my most enjoyable top 5 House episodes ever. A lot of my favorite episodes ever seem to come from the second half of season 2.

This is my favorite episode from S2 as well. I loved so much about it, the prank war, not a whole lot of Cameron, Michelle Tratchenberg, House trying to get Wilson angry, Wilson's nonchalant reaction to the cane fall, and of course the insync leg crossing. I was actually watching it last week and I noticed something. At the end of the ep. House sits directly next to Wilson when he has the whole couch to use (not that this is anything new seeing as how House doesn't believe in personal space when it comes to Wilson  ) but when Wilson tells him he might not want to sit exactly there (because of the pee) House doesn't move, he just sits on Wilson's pillow. Did he do this to make Wilson's pillow pee stained or because he didn't wans to move? The realist in me know it's the former but the shipper in me hopes that at least some small part of it was the latter. A lot of my favorite episodes ever seem to come from the second half of season 2. A lot of my favorite eps come from the second half of every season. Babies and Bathwater in S1, Safe, All In, Clueless, HvsG in S2, and Act Your Age, House Training, Family, and Resignation in S3.

Did he do this to make Wilson's pillow pee stained or because he didn't wans to move? The realist in me know it's the former but the shipper in me hopes that at least some small part of it was the latter. I never even considered that he did it for the former reason. To me, Wilson said "you might not want to sit there" and House's actions said "Well, actually I do." The fact that he also annoys Wilson in the process is an added bonus! Another thing I love about the end of this ep is that Wilson is control of the TV. Previously, House dominated the TV, even (especially?) when Wilson was watching something, yet he doesn't snatch the remote at the end, he lets Wilson carry on watching Vertigo, and in fact sits and watches it with him. (and then they made out LOL *Eddie Izzard Voice* In my mind!)

And it was also in this episode that we can see Wilson ready to defend House from the angry father when the elevator door finally opened. It's a quick scene, but I loved it. I don't remember any other time that somebody has tried to do that.

Previously, House dominated the TV, even (especially?) when Wilson was watching something, yet he doesn't snatch the remote at the end, he lets Wilson carry on watching Vertigo, and in fact sits and watches it with him. That's because even House must admit that Vertigo is genius. Really, I can't see House tolerating many films (aside from porn and probably gratuitous violence movies like Death Wish) but Vertigo has a theme in perfect keeping with his philosophy: that people always lie, and that they always will choose to ignore reality in favor of preferred, manufactured obsessions. (Why, no, I haven't been watching Hitchcock week on AMC, why do you ask...)

Well, I think it was two things. First, House didn't want to get up and move (b/c he's lazy & had just sat and b/c he likes being next to Wilson). Second, it was a way to get back at Wilson for peeing on his couch. It's pretty rude and gross to sit on someone's pillow. It's quite House-ian to get back at Wilson for peeing on the couch when House was the one who caused Wilson to pee.

Has anyone else noticed in the little "Wilson waiting outside" montage that House's door is open in the last part from afternoon to evening? That, in fact, it was just one long shot?
