Stacy: What are you hiding?
House: I'm gay.
Stacy: (glares)
House: Oh, that's not what you meant. But it does explain a lot, though. No girlfriend, always with Wilson, obsession with sneakers...
I mean... sorry...

I will forever refer to this episode as the one with the cool made up coin game

Hey! I thought I was the only one who did that! I do wish we could see that game again...

Excellent episode. I love well played time shifts and Master Blake's script is ingenious as ever (he really is my favorite House writer). It's one of the funniest episodes IMO, I giggle frantically every time I watch it. Terrific use of characters (though not enough Wilson) - I started liking Chase here (and then stopped, but that has nothing to do with PB), and I love the House/Stacey and the House/Wilson interactions.
To sum it up, Chase loves me. And isn't Turkish.

This one of my favorite episodes, not so surprising for a Chaser, given the increased focus on a usually limited role, but it took me quite some time to actually sit down and watch it straight through on my Tivo. As a physician myself, it was painful to watch, reliving some of the mistakes I've made in my career and thinking there but for the grace of some higher power go I. We all make mistakes, some more serious than others, of course. Our personal lives obviously affect the work we do, and given the possible repercussions on patient care and ultimately lives, sometimes we (or at least many of my co-workers and I) wonder why we made this career choice. I've watched this episode several times since then, but never without that certain queasiness.

This is probably my favorite episode, partly because its Chase (yes, I'm shallow) but mostly because I love the way the script is constructed. The flashbacks, particularly to the phone call, & how the story of what happened over the last six months is revealed gets me every time.

Essential truth about both House & Chase. And IMO it still holds true at the end of s3.

While I'm certainly no doctor I imagine that one of the things that make this episode so great is that it clearly shows that, no matter how well educated, doctors are fallible human beings that have emotions and make mistakes just like the rest of us. It was quite a departure from the show's usual depiction of House and his team as practically being super heroes who always find a way to cheat death in the end.
My favorite part , however, will always be House blackmailing the transplant surgeon... and then sending his wife the anonymous letter anyway. Bad!House!

House detests cheaters. That's why he's on Wilson's back (heehee) until sex kills.

Melly, I totally agree with you. Thankfully there's abundant funny House, even sensitive House to be had, as well as more than enough sensitive, suffering (and beautiful) Chase in this episode to mostly overcome my doctorish pangs of empathy, allowing me to wade in the more shallow end of the pool!

and interestingly enough he has no problem sleeping with a married woman himself(yeah I know special circumstances, but still..)

I always had the feeling that he didn't dislike the surgeon because he was a cheater. I think his reasons were others, probably professional reasons. He found out about the affair and used it to blackmail him. He sent the letter to the wife because he is House and he must be a bastard!

House detests cheaters.
And the people who turn him in for cheating himself.

Especially when they get the answer wrong.

Hey, I never said he didn't have double standards :P
Re: married Stacey; I think for House, when someone is his, they never really stop being his as long as he wants them. He claimed Stacey first, so he felt no obligation towards Mark.
Same thing for Bonnie and Julie - he met Wilson first.
